  1. I think it refers to the 2 in 1 component of some sets that look like they make bulding facades like the saloon and bank.
  2. I think the other one is the big police station, again Target regularly have it at $124 (I think). Also the ghost train if there are any left anywhere have been $69 for a while.
  3. No worries. What are the odds you can change one digit and get another current set at the same RRP? For those interested in the biggest Galaxy Squad set (I'm not typing set number in case I get it wrong... 70709?), tomorrow at Target would be a good place to look as their regular price is $124 instead of $140 which will bring it down to $99.20 with the sale.
  4. I didn't want to comment on these figs until I saw something that look like an official release and this certainly does. I love the printing style because of its accuracy, but I'm very disappointed in how the heads scale with the minifig torsos and legs. It really looks like if they shrunk the heads about 5-10% they could have looked great, but as they are they look a bit too bobble headed.
  5. That's what I thought as well. So hopefully it's a second smaller set to go with the rumoured giant set, or part of the big set. I'm really hoping they re-release all the old colours of classic space minifigs.
  6. Thanks for the info. That Ninjago temple is one I was hoping K-mart would clearance after Christmas like they did with the big temple before which I was lucky enough to snag for half RRP. Like you I think I'll wait a little longer to see if it drops further. Has anyone noticed if K-mart have dropped the clearance price of the Tumblers below the $49 they were at?
  7. Nice find. Now I'm wondering if that's a detachable section off a bigger ship, although I'm not sure how that would work. Good to see they've stayed as close as they can to the original classic space colours. Also this is what I was hoping for in a classic space reboot, an introduction of the more modern sleek look in ships while still clearly being influenced by the old space sets.
  8. It's hard to keep up with all the comments but have people noticed the western plane set contains a piano including sheet music (from the Friends line) for the saloon which I assume is the main model? Also the micro-manager in the fire helicopter set looks like a black at-st prototype. The ice cream truck stood out as the most obvious must buy, particularly for us guys that like a bit of pink every now and then. Now to just hope they'll make the pirate ship from the previews and at least one set with at least one classic space minifig.
  9. Beautiful and accurate representation. I get lots of them around my place and for those that aren't familiar with the bird, the colours are pretty much that bright.
  10. From my reading of the rumours on brickset from those that have a reliable record is that the implication is that there will be a Slave One later in the year, however the earlier release will be a ... Sandcrawler. The rumours about an AT-AT took on a life of their own after someone misread a post and said something like "Awesome, I can't believe we're getting an AT- AT, thanks for the info!"
  11. It looks like Target have had a re-stock of their July toy sale exclusives. I saw several R2-D2s and Arkham Asylums at the Adelaide store. Also DJs had the Town Hall as well as all the others distortme mentioned.
  12. Your efforts are massively appreciated! This looks about as close as Lego will ever get to a modern military theme.
  13. My apologies, you are 100% correct. I went back and looked at mine and there is a definite bend to the technic plate, something I don't want in my sets.
  14. Just a note for those worried about the issue earlier with one of the technic plates not being able to click in fully: I'm not sure that it's actually a design flaw as once you put the long dark blue tile over the top in the next step it stays down fine, it hadn't popped after hours and took no extra effort to place on top. Maybe this just holds the technic rod/pin belwo in the exact right position rather than slightly on a stud or something.
  15. Welcome, there are a few of us from Adelaide here. You'll be able to spot us from time to time on the Aussie Sales topic posting about what we've spotted on sale. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19244&st=10275 I too was a huge space fan as a kid and still have all my childhood sets but have branched out into more diverse themes in recent years, including getting hooked on the modular buildings and other more advanced build sets.
  16. So you're saying it will be in the second wave of sets? I sure hope so. The release of the blue classic spaceman in the trailer, and a couple of merchandise items (torch and light) makes me think we'll get at least one classic space influenced set.
  17. Thanks. Saw lots of Star Wars and Friends advent calendars but no City ones at Myer Adelaide today. 20% off today or up to 30% off tomorrow.
  18. Great find. They even use the proper classic helmet. I will have to hunt these down. I wonder if there is any connection between this and the to be released Lego movie.
  19. Thanks for posting, saves me getting up extra early and trekking all the way down there before the Grand Final tomorrow just to be disappointed in what's available.
  20. Myer Adelaide had one Opera House left as of 1:15 pm today. Plenty of most other advertised sale sets, no Tower Bridges though and only one of that huge Technic set.
  21. At my local woolworths there were a bunch of Chima constraction sets for half price.
  22. The gas sign, the globes and the modification to the street light really make it great. Have you experimented with the what I assume are oil bottles being a trans colour rather than red? And it's in my favourite pairing of colours red and white.
  23. I don't think there's anything sinister in it, just that they can legitimately order the Opera House at wholesale prices from Lego, but the others they either have to import or pay RRP like the rest of us.
  24. For those wanting the Opera House, it's now on shopforme.com.au for 20% off.
  25. As far as I'm aware it is the only place right now besides shop at home. My experiences have been fine, generally fairly well packed and takes about 2 weeks to get here (Adelaide). Although their tracking system is usually days behind. Regarding the Opera House, I'd wait a week or two to see if Myer has a sale.
