  1. I'd suggest it's a major gamble. It's a popular set for good reason and it doesn't look like each K-mart got too many (not in SA at least), so I doubt many stores will have excess stock they'll need to clearance. However, I can't see Lego stopping production of it any time soon*, so if you wait a little while the worst I can imagine is having to pay $270 from shop at home and then you get VIP points and possibly a freebie polybag. *I have no inside information and could be totally wrong, after all the Zombies set disappeared in a big hurry.
  2. For those in Aus after the BttF Time Machine, it's available at toysrus.com and if you want two you can get them for under $60 each shipped.
  3. Same story for Adelaide Toyworld. It's going to be hard to resist if someone has a 20% off sale.
  4. Looks like lightningtiger already answered but yes it was $249 for the Haunted House.
  5. I saw the haunted house at k-mart Firle in Adelaide tonight. Maybe they are re-stocking?
  6. Thanks. I got Myer to price match on the Grand Prix Truck, they just had to check that it didn't go to below cost price for them.
  7. What sort of themes do you like? Are you a person who is more into minifigs or the building process? Do you prefer to display or play? With $256 you have many options. With such limited information all I can suggest is a shop at home exclusive type set like a modular, Tower of Orthanc or maybe Arkham Asylum.
  8. For your birthday, I give you a link to the appropriate thread. Best wishes! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=82467&st=2875
  9. Thanks, managed to pick up the small set for $9 at Newton SA store as they didn't have it in stock last time. They also had warg and spiders sets late this afternoon.
  10. I think Artanis was asking if the info is provided through Lego Club magazine. The short answer is no. I think these are based on store calendars and seeing we have zero stores here, we aren't privy to such Australian specific information, although TanTile is probably on the money that it will be available for us, just at a higher minimum purchase, but I'd assume it'll still be under the threshold needed for free delivery.
  11. For those in Adelaide (so that's what, 10% of those reading this?) who are fans of Chima Speedorz (what's that now 10% of 10% of readers?), Toyworld in the Myer Centre has a bunch of the first wave for $12 out the front.
  12. Cheers, mate. Now hopefully they still have one by the time I can get there after work. Now a second Bag End is tempting... no that's just silly
  13. Do you know if they had the Goblin King set there?
  14. For those Legends of Chima fans, Target now has the sets at 30% off. Also Myer is running a buy one toy get 50% off the next which I think applies to Lego (but not at the discounted price). So with some careful matching you can get up to 25% off. Plenty of Horizon Expresses in Adelaide for those that want to double up with it to make an extra long train. They also had a few mini modulars and plenty of all the Lone ranger sets.
  15. For those in Adelaide, the city Target store still had three Arkham Asylums at lunch time today.
  16. This is probably only now helpful to folks in WA but in Adelaide at least all the prices at Target were down to sale prices at 5:15. So if like me, it's much easier to pop in after work and not wait until 6 pm, I recommend seeing if the situation with the early pricing is the same in WA.
  17. Great idea if you have no ethics and want to take money out of the hand of a small business because they made a completely accidental error. I buy plenty of toys here and they have always given exceptional service. I'd hate to see places like this disappear and an act like this would contribute to it. Apologies for being slightly off topic but I don't think we should be condoning or promoting such behaviour here.
  18. Lunch time report from Myer Adelaide: Seemed to still have plenty of everything in stock, although some themes weren't in the toy section but closer to main entrance. Queues at the check out are longish but they have plenty of staff on to get through them. Best bargains in my view are the Horizon Express, Sopwith Camel and new Creator house.
  19. Some giant fonts? Thanks for that. That's a good deal with shipping. I believe Big W charge $8 if you're in a capital city (online sale tomorrow night at 9 pm for those that don't know). Myer Adelaide had plenty of Sopwiths (well worth getting), Horizon Expresses, Mini Modulars and VW Campers. Only a couple Jousts though. Also, for those in Adelaide wanting a Haunted House from K-mart I'd recommend getting in quick and not hoping for a sale. There's one left at Firle and it has a big hole in the back of the box, one left at Ingle Farm, none in the city and apparently small numbers at Kurralta Park and Marion and none at TTP.
  20. $127.20. There's a chance it might be even cheaper come the real sale, particularly if you're a Myer one card holder. However, you'll want to be quick to get one I predict.
  21. Breaking my self-imposed posting ban briefly here. Myer TTP (Adelaide) had several copies of mini modulars, VW van, Sopwith and Horizon Express. Also saw some new Chima including cute new skunk speedorz but at still $18 after sale it seemed like too much, and the new (I think) Chima board game was there too. No new City, LOTR or Star Wars sets as far as I could tell. As distortme said, Adelaide store is a bust, they don't even have full range of The Lone Ranger, just small set and bank from memory.
  22. Hey djanscak Welcome from another Aussie that loved his classic space lego. I never owned the 6951 as a kid but managed to buy one brand new a couple years ago which brought back a lot of memories of the classic space era including those lovely boxes. If you're just missing a few pieces for your set, try www.bricklink.com. There might even be someone in Aus with the pieces you need. Also there's a dedicated Aussie sales thread here which is a great source of news. The first of the big mid-year toy sales start this week. Hewman
  23. Big W has the seaside Creator house for $38 which seems like a good deal to me, retail is $60. Plus they have all those $30 City vehicles for $20. I'm sure they'll sell out of the desert skiff at $35 very quickly too. For those into Ninjago, I noticed Target had one exclusive set and are the first to stock a couple others like the mecha set.
  24. Adelaide Toyworld had it for RRP of $180. Also for those in Adelaide, Marden Toyworld is no longer a Toyworld. It's still a toy store though. No Toyworld exclusive sets available but a few sets 10-15% off like Ninjago Fortress and Mill Village Raid. Still the same lousy service where staff would prefer to be making private phone calls rather than try to help out a shopper. Edit: Perhaps I remembered incorrectly as the new Toyworld catalogue has it at $199. Also Toyworld have a few sets on sale. I think Winter Village bakery was $30 off and so was the Ninjago Destiny's Bounty.
  25. Thanks chrism. I picked up a Hillside house at Adelaide DJs today. They had a few. They also had heaps of the yellow Lego trucks for $30 for those interested.
