  1. Welcome! In case you haven't seen it, us Aussies have our own dedicated sales thread here Aussie Sales Strangely I know this topic number off by heart now from alerting so many people to it. Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have made that sad fact public! Anyway werewolf lycanthrope, I'm sure you'll have a great time here.
  2. All sets, available until midnight GMT I believe. You didn't ebay the ISD? Stop offering it here, you're tempting me
  3. To all those with a David Jones credit card, either store one or American Express there is 25% off lego. In Adelaide at least I didn't see anything new although may be a way to get some slightly older sets at a discount.
  4. Brilliant work! It reminds me of the sort of thing Lego would have put together for their world tour shows in the 80s that I loved going to as a child.
  5. Welcome aboard from another Aussie (and science graduate). You've probably seen them but there are a couple gorgeous Kingdoms impulses coming out soon, a wizard and a jester.
  6. I'd think about getting some of the PoP sets but given how long shop at home takes to deliver, the sets will be in stores here by then and cheaper too. But it is good to see free shipping for once. If anyone was considering getting the Medieval Market Village I'd suggest now is a great time to do so. Edit: Home One on special for about $125 and a few other star wars bits and pieces reduced as well.
  7. Welcome aboard, Emily! As I'm sure you've noticed from this thread, there are plenty of Aussies on Eurobricks. Thanks for the news on the minifigs, only a couple weeks to wait! If you'd like to formally introduce yourself to the Eurobricks community and let us know a little about your Lego interests, here's the link Hello! My name is...
  8. Got a pic of the cat? Oh it's not some weird catwoman thing where you're going to...never mind. Enjoy all your gifts.
  9. Happy Birthday! I hope it isn't too cold down in Tassie yet.
  10. For those after some Prince of Persia figs or parts (like that medium dark nougat flesh or whatever it's called) there's a relatively new seller on bricklink that I've bought a few times off and he's been fantastic, and he's also offering free domestic shipping for orders $50+ Anyway, you can check him out here Barker's Brick Store
  11. As someone who has worked in the Australian television industry I can categorically state that this is not how any professional network or production company operates. To anyone considering doing this be very careful, although I suspect the bottom line will just be wasting your own time.
  12. Thanks for that one, d00dz. From my reading of it, you also have to spend $75 or more in one transaction between 21/4 and 26/4 to get it. Sounds way too complicated to me!
  13. Thanks for that info. The Fight for the Dagger is cheaper than I listed it as so that was either an error on my part or that of the site it came from. I'm slowly being won over by these sets. I blame those in charge here for all the PoP promotion, and the quality of the Alamut set. This isn't quite a sales post but comes from a sale site, and it definitely might interest some of our more talented MOCers out there (they know who they are, I know who they are, and they do tend to get a few front page promotions for their fantastic work) National Lego builder competition My apologies if this has been posted before, and I couldn't find the terms and conditions they refer to, hopefully it's not 'must be under 12 years of age'. Edit: A bit of google searching found it, Competition. Good news is it's for all ages, based on skill not chance, it starts June 15 and ends 31 July.

    Selling Legos

There is a buy/sell/trades forum, but I believe you need at least ten posts to start a topic there. Also, I wouldn't recommend just putting up another 9 posts in the next two minutes just to reach this threshold as it may not be looked kindly upon by the moderators. PS Welcome to bricklink!
  15. Toys R Us Adelaide already have them too, $4.99.
  16. Even better idea! ISC, you can have all the cowboys I get, I really want a zombie (or is that in the second wave?).
  17. Sounds like a good idea, we can leave cash payment and save them the hassle of shipping. Tonight I'm going to have dreams of thousands of minifigs in warehouses I think. Edit: This might be a good place where we can trade doubles of different figs to each other. I know a couple of the popular figs are ones that don't interest me, so I'm happy to swap for something I want.
  18. Interesting site there. You could preorder an unopened carton of 120 packets of the minifig exclusive release to come out in June for just over $2 per fig, but I'm not too sure I want to shop at a place that so clearly is willing to break the law with this statement when you go to checkout: If you are an international customer would you like all orders declared as gifts?
  19. Yeah they've stopped the siren now, which is probably a relief, it'd be about 150 metres away in a straight line. But I digress. I can't wait to see a whole town layout from you. So is there a river through New Mannum?
  20. Nice find! There's plenty on bricklink Hot pants
  21. I live just around the corner from a CFS and I have to say lightningtiger really has got the look of it down well.
  22. I saw your first post and thought "I'm going to put up a pic of a real Aus Post van just to show how brilliantly accurate yours is", then I scroll down and see this. Fantastic stuff, definitely some of your best work! Keep on MOCing!
  23. I wasn't doubting you at all. I just pay no attention, not really smart on my part not noticing traffic cops! So is this the lone police officer in your MOC town?
  24. Nice work. I really must not be observant. I thought they wore those tan jodpur like pants, not blue ones. Although that was probably 20 years ago and I haven't caught up with the change.
  25. Yeah, at Target, I remember it being reduced from $250 to $125, unless Target were being sneaky claiming bigger markdowns than were true. I would have bought it then but the box was smashed. Perhaps strange things were happening with the Aus $ back then and there was some fluctuation in price. But $160 would have been a bargain when the shrieking shack was $100.
