Thanks for the excellent review, def. The pics are great. Yeah it's an expensive set but Lego have done it well and with the great selection of figs and printed parts, I think it will be popular. I know if I had kids I'd be very tempted to get it for them, although I don't think it will have the same appeal to AFOL train lovers.

Thanks for finding that, although the castle seems pretty steep, I think the prison tower rescue for $90 is worse value even with the beautiful princess fig. Cool. I know lightningtiger was mentioning a bigger service station set possibly coming out later this year, so hopefully he heard right and you can get your hands on one of them. -

Bummer, sorry to get your hopes up, I assumed it was available as there were plenty of sets listed as out of stock and this wasn't one of them. -

Imagine If have a 15% off online sale but yuo must use the link below, the sale isn't actually advertised on their site. They have quite a few hard to find sets like the 7993 service station, the old fire station which would be a bit over $75 after discount as well as a few agents sets. Also for star wars fans they have LEGO 7679 - Republic Fighter Tank which would be $85 incl shipping! Imagine If sale Edit: Popped into Myer Adelaide CBD at lunch, none of the 10000 series sets rumoured to be part of the sale were on display, plenty of battle of Endor sets, all the new Toy Story including train set. A small amount of new SP3, limited in both range and quantity. -

Nice find, the Lunar Limo looks beautiful. They're all within a dollar of RRP, so Myer would be considerably cheaper. -

That was quite a few months ago at toys r us, and at least in adelaide at the end of the sale they had heaps in stock. I'm surprised they didn't have a better price than $49 this time. -

It's a bargain at $99.99 in Adelaide! I still passed. I did notice that a bunch of Separatists Shuttles in what looks like a specials bin, looks like they'll be on sale soon. I'm surprised they couldn't get rid of them all when they had them for sale at $35 a while ago. -

Myer Adelaide had them on Friday at least. They were at the bottom of a table, so not easy to see. Good luck, you have 2 hours 45 to get one! -

Just saw a great deal via the bricklink forum, Barnes and Noble have 30% off a single item with this code Y3V4U3X. And they take it off the most expensive item! Looks like they ship interntionally and shipping is not too shabby. I added the battle of alamut and an unavailable in Aus space police smash and grab set and it came to just over $94 US, if only the Aus $ didn't drop in the past few days it'd be even better. They have all the new fire sets, so if you're after then I'd go for it. Oh their address is www.bn.com -

d00dz, thanks a million, or 25% off a million. I imagine those Endor sets won't last long. -

It looks like the Endor set is making it to a lot of Myer stores now, saw them in Adelaide Myer, now we just need a 20% off sale, which now with the Aussie $ falling wouldn't be that bad a buy compared to importing from the US. I haven't seen any collectible figs in Targets, also the sale is definitely over even though their price cards were saying to remove on the 26th. -
Although the spaceman is definitely my favourite of the figs you've used, this is definitely the best display. If I saw it in a shop display I'd be yelling "mum, I want it, I want it". To which she'd reply "son, you're in your 30s, stop emabarrassing me"

With two ninjas, that sounds like the box I had a look through, they did have another unopened box while I was there but I guess they've locked that away for later. Probably a good thing you got two ninjas, a fight of a ninja against any of those others wouldn't be fair. -

I just asked if they minded if I had a look through the box. They had it at the counter, so it wasn't like I could wreck or steal things, and being well and truly adult I look responsible. -

That's great that you are an official distributor, I hear that can be pretty hard to become. Good luck and any chance of you putting up some pics of your shop once it's nicely stocked? -

It was mentioned on brickset that toyworlds now have the collectible minifigs. I just had a look at Adelaide Rundle Mall toyworld, and they had just unpacked them out of the box. They got two boxes in. As I'm on a strict lego budget since splurging on all the PoP sets I only got two, a zombie and a spaceman. They were busy with stock so were happy to let me sort through them. It took me almost forty (barcode method used) to find my first zombie and over 45 to find the first spaceman. They were $4 each and will be in a catalogue on sale in 6 weeks (if any are left). My advice is if you're just wanting to pick up a few at random, don't grab ones next to each other in same column. I encountered 4 ninjas in one column in two lots of two in a row, also all the robots and spacemen must have been in the last row I looked at. Assuming the 3 full sets plus extras per box, this means that the last column had at least three spacemen and three robots out of the 20 figs. Also a note to be gentle with the packets, you need to lift up the middle join to see the edge of the barcode and it's not nice to leave them bent and mangled for others (ok, that's my preachiness for the day over). PS I've opened the zombie and the barcode got it right, I'm sure spaceman won't be a problem but I'll let you know if it is. Edit: Just opened spaceman, the design is beautiful, ray gun is fantastic, cool helmet mold, however there is a definite milkiness to the white colour of the fig, particularly with the helmet. My white spacemen from 1979 would still look whiter, so for all lego said about this being part of their regular line with all the quality control entailed in that, it clearly isn't the case. Also the clutch power of the feet on the stand felt sub-par as well. -
Edit: just noticed this thread is a little out of date, so not much point adding more names.

Steve If you're having an opening day celebration of any sort, I'm sure a few local AFOLs would show up (even if the opening was a month after the real opening). -

Perhaps that's why we lost, we weren't quite ruthless enough. Oh and to JimButcher, it's a pity you didn't stay around longer, I was enjoying your posts, although with half the people targeting you in the first day it did allow all the Nizam to slip through unscathed. -

I don't think it was us 'The Nizam' that killed you, according to def we only killed 4 people and it was only once we got to the last night that we truly crossed anyone, we liked having people on our side, so avoided killing anyone we had loose alliances with. Now I'm hooked on these games, I can't wait for another one. -

I think I've placed a bunch of orders with you on bricklink and was exceptionally happy with the service. Good luck with the shop!
