Well done, Robert, as usual! Splendid array of interesting and surprising minifigures, even after all of this time designing! Kudos to you. Zeus, Don Quixote, Pumpkin Head, Sphinx and Gnome Girl are my favorites this time around! Streamer Girl is a little too pastel for my tastes, but her design is well done nonetheless. Lego's minifigures designers could really learn a thing or two ... or a hundred ... from checking out your designs.

Goodness gracious, what a beautiful collection of figures once again! I am running out of superlatives ... Your work inspires and amazes, per usual. I love the Dark Elf, the Sky Ruler, The Monster Huntress, the Marionette, the Alien Kid ... I mean, really, all of them are just wonderful. I'd collect them all.

I hope if there is a third wave that they might consider giving us some male sprites and merfolk ... They might find a good re-use for the satyr legs as well for a character or two ...

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
DarrellBricker replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I want that Firestar minifigure! Can't shell out $300 for her though. Pity. -
Ahh, yes - that statue was amazing! I remember it fondly, thanks! :)

That's a shame - mythology is a rich source of inspiration. I was hoping you would finish off the Olympians with Hestia and Hephaestus and Apollo - did you do a Dionysius? But anyway, always good stuff! :D

Lot of good stuff to like here - another outstanding series! Of course my love of myths and legends makes the Messenger, Warmonger and Evil Centaur instant faves, and that Teutnic Knight is spectacular! I love the Treasure Hunter, Magician Girl (We need a DC Zatanna!!!), and Father Time/Baby New Year combo, and The Psychologist is great, as well. Definitely would collect them all! Thanks for another great series!

Wonderful, as always. You know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Arachne, she is perfection. And I adore the TIme Traveler, the Hypnotist, and the Crocodile Man especially because of the use of those clever accessories. The Farmer Girl is sweet, and I want one ... the goat is icing on that particular cake as well LOL. Really, just good stuff all around. Thanks for all you do to keep us enthusiastic and entertained!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
DarrellBricker replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
While I am a comic book fan, I have a little trepidation about Marvel being the third CMF wave this year. I can't see Lego NOT filling it with characters we already have umpteen times over due to their popularity - would they dare put out a CMF set without Iron Man, Captain America and Spiderman, for instance? And as others have said, there are so many more characters they could give a chance to, like X-Men characters (I'd kill for a legit Lego Nightcrawler and Psylocke to name just two but we all know the X-Men will be represented by *bleeping* Wolverine), Fantastic Four, more obscure Avengers like Hercules and the Black Knight, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Captain Britain ... the list could go on. If it's going to be just 12 figure, it's going to be difficult to include anything original or surprising. Time will tell, I guess. -
Yeah, I miss the vignettes, they were far more interesting - to me, of course - than Brickheads will ever be. But c'est la vie, I suppose.

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
DarrellBricker replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not in America - sigh :( Oh, snap! I placed a big order yesterday while looking for the dogs, but they weren't available yesterday. I decided to peek at the site just now, after I made that last post, and they're available! WOOT! Ordered! :D- 5,720 replies

Well done, as usual Robert. A delightful character every day! And congratulations on 400 minifigures as well, what an achievement! I am grateful for your hard work, your creativity and your obvious passion, it is truly a pleasure to tune in and see what surprises you have in store for us. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us in the future. Merry Christmas one and all!

Love her! Man, I wish the Lego Group had even an ounce of your creativity ... These days it feels like they're just phoning everything in. (The upcoming Jaguar Warrior being the exception that proves the rule.) Anyway, as usual, stellar stuff!

Woot, the gang's all here! Nicely done!

I was in my local Wal-Mart today and seeing the bins out by the toy section full of little stocking stuffer items for Christmas. Of course, there were a few bins of Lego items, and one of them was one of the smaller build bags with Harry Potter, Hedwig and the dining table with food. I looked at the price, $4.97 American. And although people have been talking about this for a while now, it suddenly truly sank into my brain for the first time that you got all of that for $5, and yet Lego is now selling the CMFs for that same price. It certainly put things into perspective, and not in a good way ...

Thanks for the nice, high res pictures! I really do love that Jaguar Warrior, he is a beauty to behold. I also find it interesting that the centaur's torso is not feminized like they often do, ie, the curves aren't there, and they didn't put on any obvious breast accent lines like they did on the singer. So a simple head/hair swap can get you a male centaur pretty easily, for what it's worth. I do like her freckled face though ...

A great start to the series! I love the torso design!

I came into Lego well after some of the classic series you all know and love so I didn't get the reference. It's a nice nod, sure, but to me it's still a "meh" figure when there were so many other, more interesting ways you could go with it. Don't get me wrong, I'll still buy each and every one for my collection because I love this series, but I'm finding most of them, or at least their parts, to be a little uninspired.

Just saw the series ... Although I'm a little underwhelmed by it, it still has enough spark to keep me collecting. I love the beachcomber, but I 100 percent agree that his hair/beard combo should have come in a new/different color. The violin is a great new accessory, with a "meh" figure holding it. l think the bee keeper is great, the Jaguar Warrior is amazing, and one half of the centaur is great. I too, think it should have been a male, and a new hair style should have been included *cough* Robert8's design *cough*. Even if they kept it as a female, this mythic creature is crying out for something other that lackluster hair piece they chose for her. The paddle boarder's hat and hair combo to me was not a good choice considering we had two variations of it already in the last unlicensed set. How about showing some love to other hair pieces? The recolored dolphin is a welcome addition, though. Nothing about the plane costume kid does anything for me, not a useful figure at all for me. The pug costume kid is cute enough, but did they really just reuse a face print? It looks suspiciously similar to one we already have ... Maybe Lego is feeling the crunch of Covid, but they really could have done a little bit better here.
