  1. Hey, that gives me an idea - A CMF series based on Greek mythology. Could be an awesome way to fill in the gaps and give us characters to fill our pantheon. Aphrodite, Artemis, Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Hermes, Ares, Dionysius, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hades, Perseus, Heracles, Theseus, Odysseus, a Siren, The Fates, a Fury ... the list could go on and on. Or if "Greek Mythology" is too specific, how about a World Mythology series - Norse, Celtic, Native American, Japanese, Chinese, African, Indian, Slavic - every culture has some fascinating folklore, Gods, Goddesses and monsters and heroes? I'd be all over that in a heartbeat!
  2. I have a WHOLE list of DC characters who NEED to be made into minifigures. it is beyond frustrating that they have pretty much relegated the rest of the DC Universe into the dustbin to focus solely on Batman. I get it, he's popular and a money maker but enough already! Zatanna, Vixen, Guy Gardner Green Lantern, Dr. Fate, a less cartoony version of Raven, Wonder Girl/Donna Troy, Aqualad/Tempest, Speedy, Fire, Ice, Ted Kord Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, Power Girl, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, John Constantine, Deadman ... I mean, literally the list could go on and on with simply Justice League heroes, not to mention villains and heroes from other teams and solo heroes. I'd definitely be up for a Series 2 DC ... I am just not very hopeful it will ever happen.
  3. Not that I wouldn't love Wreck-It-Ralph figure, the problem with Ralph is he would need to be a Big Fig to truly be accurate, and there's no way they would put a Big Fig in a CMF bag. Now a set with a Big Fig Ralph, Vanellope, and King Candy, maybe even Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun with some candy racecars and a Cy-Bug build ... yeah, I'd dig that. If they did do a Disney Series 3, I'd like to see Arthur and Merlin from The Sword and the Stone, and Mad Madame Mim, too; Mowgli from the Jungle Book; Roger and Anita from 101 Dalmatians with Pongo and Perdy; a couple of the characters from Encanto in Minifigure form; Snow White and Prince Charming (can't justify buying the castle, even as gorgeous as it is); John Smith and the bad guy from Pochahontas; Esmerelda (and her goat!) and Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame; ... yeah, the list could go on and on. It's definitely a never-ending well of ideas.
  4. Is there a particular app you use to scan the codes? I found them early in a grocery store near me and bought four blind. After the third alien tourist I have decided it's time to figure out how to scan, and luckily this time around the codes are the big ones! (The fourth, in case you were wondering, was the UFO costume guy.)
  5. That golden dragon on the statue ... a purple recolor and it would look pretty darn close to Kitty Pryde's pet dragon Lockheed from the X-men ...
  6. I like that idea! An annual zoo set would be something to look forward to, and I'd definitely enjoy building a zoo set by set.
  7. Yeah, that image makes it look like a pretty solid line up, I'll definitely collect them all.
  8. I don't mind the Lego harpy, but yours is definitely superior, Robert!
  9. I get the criticism about there being other animals out there in the big wide world, but I am a little saddened by the dislike the Afghan Hound is getting. I love it, and actually gasped out loud when I saw it. It's a very unique breed and not one I'd have ever guessed would be put into Lego form. I had my bets on a St. Bernard type dog mold first, to be honest. But anyway, the hound will be perfect for my Dog Park MOC I'm working on. But of course, to each one's own.
  10. Mmmm, counterpoint, wasn't there a Party Llama minifigure in the Vidiyo wave? While wolves and zebras are popular and much requested by AFOLs, a llama isn't out of the question since kids know the animal exists. Not saying I'd want one over a wolf or zebra, just throwing it out there that a llama is on Lego's radar. I'd really love a kangaroo, though.... :)
  11. 1) Monster Bride (Frankenstein's monster's main squeeze) 2) Terracotta Warrior 3) Rodeo Clown with calf 4) Dentist 5) Frontiersman with Wolf (Or maybe a bear cub!) 6) Country Music Star 7) Viking Shieldmaiden/Valkyrie 8) Bearded Lady 9) Steampunk-esque inventor 10) Marching Band member with trumpet or drum 11) Lion Suit Guy 12) Milk Carton Lady
  12. I hold out hope that the female Viking hair from the recent Viking ship set will end up in the CMF at some point ... maybe as a Shieldmaiden?
  13. Is it just me, or does set #60398 - House with electric car, look like it has a new dog mold? I don't think I've seen that version of a dog before ... Could be wrong. (spotted in the usual location) Oh, maybe it's just a recolor of the recent German Shepard puppy mold?
  14. My local supermarket (a big central New York and beyond grocery chain that starts with a "W" and ends with "egmans") had the Disney figures today in their toy aisle. I was surprised and very delighted to see them. I was able to get eight of them - Aurora, Jiminy Cricket, Queen of Hearts, Robin Hood, Pocahontas, Miguel, the Evil Queen, and Mulan. The hunt has begun!
  15. New chicken mold when other animal molds are more frequently requested kind of gets my goat ... I'll see myself out ... :D
  16. My local Lego Store sold out on day one, so on day two when I showed up, I was sorely disappointed, especially since my other most wanted set, the $9.99 otters set, was also sold out. Sojorns to my two local Walmarts today proved fruitless as well. So, I ordered a six pack from the Lego website to scratch the itch until I can find them locally.
  17. Marvel, eh? Not surprised, I suppose, but I'd rather see a DC Series 2 first since there are still so many classic characters that they haven't made figures of yet. But, as a fan of both comics companies, I'll definitely support the Marvel line if a good work around of the boxes instead of bags is discovered. I'd prefer to see some classic comic characters over MCU/Disney + show characters, but I think I know which way the wind is blowing in that regard. As always, if the figures are good, I'll buy. If not, I'll wait until the next series.
  18. I can't believe they are re-using a face from City for that little girl with the rocking horse. That feels just wrong. Almost as wrong as using a bland Classic Space Face for the Brown Spaceman in the CMF line - poke poke, Clone ... LOL ;) But seriously, I wish they had timed the release of the rocking horse a little better. That little bugger would have made a solid addition to Christmas scenes as a toy under the tree ...
  19. I claim 1 point - I said Automaton/Android, and the official name of "Gundam Fett" is apparently Robot Warrior. Okay, maybe half a point ... :D
  20. Yeah, I get that mentality, truly, but if it weren't for that baby, I'd feel like it was a wasted slot. Especially since we're only getting 12 characters now ... But meh, to each one's own! I'll still get one!
  21. Frankly, I feel like the novelty of the costumes has worn off completely, especially after two full series dedicated to them and all the ones shoe-horned into other series. I'd be happy if they retired them for a short time. As for this series as a whole, feeling a lot of love for it. I don't care much for the brown spacesuit man because "classic space" isn't my jam, and the generic face is off putting in a CMF minifigure set where we expect better. That baby spaceman though is pure adorable gold! I'll be getting a full set, and some spare parts as well.
  22. Well, that Orc looks pretty darn good, I think! Hopefully he'll come with a suitably nasty looking weapon. And thanks to that same reddit feed I finally caught a glimpse of that witch hat and hair combo. Stunning! I want it!!! That image alone ticks me off that Vidiyo got cancelled and the Series 2 bandmates never came out around me. If nothing else, they really had some creative and interesting minifigures, and it looked like more were on the way. Hopefully some of those molds will show up in the CMF sets down the road.
  23. I have a lilac colored dress shirt I wear to work frequently. We'll sweat together, Robert. :D
  24. Gorilla94, I have the same problem with Instagram - it's very frustrating!
  25. Farfetched, but in honor of arbor day in April maybe a "Johnny Appleseed" folkloric figure ... IF they were going to continue that route.
