LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
DarrellBricker replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I look at Madame Sprout's hat/hair combo and immediately think of "Mother Goose" or "Little Old Lady Who Lived In a Shoe," something fairytale-esque like that. At any rate, lots of good stuff there, can't wait to see what the rest of the series looks like. Only questions I have though, and this is coming from someone who thought he was up on his Harry Potter, who is the Lion-Headed character supposed to be? I don't recognize her ... -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I would be all for a Marvel CMF IF they had some X-Men characters thrown into the mix. If it's all MCU then I might not care for it as much ... but would still get at least one full set. I'd still prefer DC CMF Series 2, however :D -
It's sad because these niches used to be filled by the CMF line at one time but the last few series seem to be stubbornly City-centric with only a few bones tossed in for historical, space and fantasy/mythology fans here and there. If Lego would consider ideas like this it would be amazing! I'd certainly buy!

So awesome! I want him! Great job as always, Robert!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

With Disney Series 2 still warming pegs all over the place (at least where I live), is it a given that it will get a Series 3? There is still a litany of characters I'd like to see them do, of course, but I don't know if sales figures would support a third installment? I would be all in for another DC series 2, personally. I know it's not a popular series with a lot of you here but I'm a big DC fan and I could fill at least three more series with characters I'd love to see in minifigure form. However, again, not sure if the sales figures of Series 1 would support a second series... Really what I would love to see is two "regular" CMF series a year and only one licensed series but I think that ship has sailed. -
Yeah, some of these designs look very uninspired. The keytar player should have tried for a more 80s Glam rock or maybe Euro Pop feel. The lady swashbuckler is surprisingly plain, although the new hat and hair combo ought to be useful. The knight looks pretty generic. But I'm a sucker for new minifigs so I'll get them all. Even that ... brrrrr ... green brick suit guy to complete the set ... At least he has good hair. :D

Hmmmmm, I gotta say, not really excited about how a lot of these figures *sound* but my mind could change when I see the final products. It feels really lackluster overall. I know some of you are excited for it, but another figure in that brick suit is especially not something I'm looking forward to as I wasn't a fan of them. It was a spot that could have been used for something new and interesting, and instead they went with another rehash. But again, final judgment will be reserved for when the photos start to pop up.

Rushy CMF Series 20 Guessing Game

Yay, guessing game time! 1. Centaur - I mean, come ON NOW! You're making 'em for HP, it's time we got one too! 2. Female Bandit/Gunslinger 3. Monster Bride 4. Evil Space Cyborg 5. Hairstylist/Barber 6. Movie Director 7. Shepherd with goat or lamb 8. Clown Girl 9. Lion Suit Guy 10. Super Hero 11. Terracotta Warrior 12. Dentist 13. Marine Biologist with sea creature 14. Teacher 15. Martial Arts student/kid -
Well, I know who I would pick in the "Who designed it better?" battle royale ... Sure, the poncho and sombrero will be a nice touch, but that Day of the Dead t-shirt is epic so Robert's version would have my vote.
-
You've done it again, Robert! This is an awesome series with something for (almost) everyone. I have been wanting a Monster Bride and the Centaur since the dawn of the CMFs, and these look amazing, easily the standouts for me this time around. The Retro Wrestler ... wow, you gave me something I never even knew I wanted! And the Physicist is perfect, too! I want EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of these. Amazing work, per usual.

A rare Mr. Gold-like figure? Have they learned nothing, or do they simply not care what kind of bad PR this has generated for them?
-
Mall Santa with the crying baby is pure perfection. I have played Santa at the learning center where my significant other works, and I can tell you that many times those babies sure don't know what to make of the guy in the red suit. Although my beard is much better than this guy's LOL. I would love to have this figure. Another epic series, Robert. Thank you for all you do to breathe creative and fresh life into our interest in minifigures.

"New" to me was what I meant to imply, but yes, you're correct, they are quite old :D
-
Huh, I kinda thought he looked like Bernard from "The Santa Clause" movies with Tim Allen LOL ... glad to know about this new holiday archetype. This thread is fun AND informational, too!

A Christmas Carol is one of the seasonal favorites I must see, at least once, each yuletide, and so seeing these figures in minifigure form is a pure delight. Well done. I'd love to have these in my collection.

So far, so excellent! Looking forward to seeing more!!!

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
DarrellBricker replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
If there IS a chase figure, and I'm hoping there isn't, I hope it's someone we already have plenty of *cough* Batman *cough* so I don't have to be peeved if I don't end up getting them. That said, I ended up with 2 Percival Graves from Harry Potter so maybe I'll get lucky again. I just better not be someone we've all been absolutely clamoring for, like Mad Hatter, Zatanna, Dr. Fate or figures like that, or there will definitely be hell to pay. -
What can I say that I haven't already about your work? As usual, stunning work with a lot of amazing looking figures I would pay good money to get for my collection. Chaos Goddess - stunning! Steampunk guy, just awesome! Polymath, great design! Prince Charming? A must-have! Even the ones that appeal the least to my taste are just fantastic and I want them anyway! Great stuff here, as usual.

DarrellBricker replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, and one last thing: this series would be the perfect time to complete the trio of founding Legion of Superhero members - Saturn Girl!!! Okay, I'll shut up now ... can you tell I'm really excited about this series?!?
