  1. I was lucky enough to find the new witch, "bat boy" and scarecrow three pack at the Lego Store in Albany, NY, but I did not see the other new stuff. What a pity, I really like that "Day of the Dead" minifigre!!!
  2. Welcome back, guessing game - how I've missed thee! Here are my guesses ... 1) Shepherd/Shepherdess w/ lamb - seems like a no brainer at this point 2) Viking Shieldmaiden - they had to make that female Viking hairpiece for something other than that one set, right? 3) Detective - Film Noir type with trenchcoat and fedora 4) Monster Bride - Hope springs eternal 5) Evil Genie 6) Messenger God - Hermes inspired 7) Fairytale Prince - maybe with an alternate Frog Head a la Kermit to give the Princess from series 12 someone to transform 8) Frontiersman with wolf or bear companion (Like Grizzly Adams) 9) Android/Automaton - Female, preferably 10) Dentist 11) Hippo Costume Guy/Gal 12) Swashbuckler - I'd like a female counterpart this time around, but a pirate seems like a pretty safe bet since it's been awhlle. I tried to think of minifigures from a bunch of different themes, historical, space, pirates, etc., but of course I skewed heavily toward my favorite theme, monster/fantasy/magic/mythology. :)
  3. So when does the guessing game begin? ;)
  4. I checked my local Walmart - New York State here - but no luck, alas.
  5. Are we assuming that Marvel Series 2 is going to be solely based on What If, or have some kind of inside info corroborating this? I ask because the last Marvel series was based on that show as well as WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. By next Spring they will have a LOT of Marvel TV shows to draw from, and they could still go back and produce some of the main characters from the older ones - Agatha Harkness and U.S. Agent, most notably - that missed being in the first series. I'd much rather see figures of Agatha, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, She Hulk, Kang, etc. than What If? variants, personally. But then again, I'd much rather have a DC Series 2 over a second Marvel series, so what do I know? LOL
  6. Well, after my third unwanted rabbit dancer from randomly selecting boxes, I'm not proud to admit that I tore a flap or ... two to get the figures I actually wanted. And I wasn't alone, judging from the state of some of the boxes I saw in the wild. So I can't imagine there won't be more of the same when the boxes are released in the future.
  7. Well, Robert, it's your final series and I have to say, even with no Hestia, ha ha ha, it went out with a tremendous bang! What a wild ride of figures over the last several years, all presented with aplomb and an eye for that Lego charm and intricate details that made your creations feel like they could be coming soon to a toy aisle near us. Sadly, that's not the case, and what a blow that is to those of us who covet these little yellow marvels. Series Z is an amazing mix of creations, and I would gladly buy every single one of them. My obligatory favorites list though includes that stunning Cecaelia, Hammer Wielder, Feral Boy, Frontiersman and that creepy Dollmaker. I adore the Lunch Lady and the Phantom Thief too. Well done and your creativity and contribution to this community will be missed. Luckily, nature abhors a vacuum, and I see there's new talent coming into play already!
  8. She'll always be an Olympian to me LOL
  9. Hestia, Demeter and Dionysius spring to mind. I would have to go through his collection, but I also believe he may never have designed a Hephaestus? But really, it's just me being greedy for more from a very talented artist. :)
  10. I am looking forward to your ... sniff ... last series, Robert. It's been a helluva ride. All good things must come to an end, but I'm still a little saddened you aren't finishing up the pantheon of Greek Gods. Still I will celebrate for what you have created for us, and dream pleasant dreams about some of these figures seeing the light of day one day.
  11. Lovely series, as always! I want, as in desperately want, that Sandman and that Harpy at the very least, but Retro Gangster, Purple Goo Monster, Mother Nature, Templar Knight and Dino Girl are also standouts for me! Two thumbs up! And the Gaul! Can't believe I forgot him!
  12. That's a hard question to answer for me as there are so many good ones, but I do adore the French bulldog and the new squirrels. But the newish hermit crab is great, and I like bulldog, and the hammerhead shark ... I'd better stop ... LOL
  13. Maybe you are one of the "smaller ones" in your mind Robert, but I can say without hesitation that you are by far one of the best I have ever seen. No one has consistently impressed me as much as you with your sheer scope of ideas, creativity, attention to detail and the fact that any one of your figures looks like it could roll off the assembly line tomorrow. They FIT Lego's CMF aesthetic, and in some cases elevates and surpasses it. There isn't a single figure of yours I wouldn't be proud to have in my collection, and MANY I'd kill to get. Sorry for the verbal rampage - I appreciate your humility but you are immensely talented.
  14. I have frequented Walmart and can say with certainty that none ever showed up at the ones in my region, sadly. They never even showed up at the Lego store that's nearby me. It's baffling.
  15. I just want to know where I can find some of the Bandmates Series 2 ... I don't even want all of them, just the Vampiress, the Slime monster, the Zombie, the Gummi Bear, maybe the robot ... Sigh.
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing a series with modern redesigns of characters from Classic/past themes - Castle, Pirates, City, Adventure, Monster Hunters, etc., but if it is a whole series of smiling, blank-eyed faces and retro torso and leg designs like that policeman figure, that would be a hard pass for me personally.
  17. A literal LOL from me to you! :D That's a pun to re-ember.
  18. Robert8, I think it's the red nose ... anytime they put a nose on a minifigure it looks out of place because historically they don't have them. But maybe that's just me?
  19. Hestia. Hestia. Hestia. Hestia. Cough. Oh, Sorry, something got caught in my throat. LOL ;) I know, I know, two series to go and you have other plans, but can't blame a guy for advocating for his favorite and most under-represented Greek goddess.
  20. Another Robert8 series, another bittersweet assemblage of minifigures. Sweet, because they are so amazing. Bitter because they will never be made by the Lego Group as real minifigures. I just continue to be astounded by your imaginative designs, and thank you for the consistent quality and delight they provide. I would kill for that Evil Mermaid - personally, I think she's just misunderstood; Enchantress - gorgeous design; the Comedian - so City and you so full of character; Apollo - huzzah for the Olympians!; and the Sultan - regal and charming! I would also maim for the rest of them to have in my collection. Well done.
  21. I am no expert, but I think all sorts of fauna/ "fursonas" are welcomed under that umbrella LOL
  22. OMG, if I had ANY kind of talent with building, I would create that set and put it up on Lego Ideas just to see the reactions ...
  23. Those plant creatures are epic - that tree trunk with the mushrooms especially - where did you get it's face/teeth? Oh, and yay animals! Gotta keep it on-topic LOL
  24. The series is a mixed bag, that's for sure, with some winners and some ... not so winners. I do think they missed some opportunities to make things a little better, though. Like the husky with the snow warrior ... why not make it all white like a Samoyed instead of the same darn husky we get time after time after time? And I agree about the girl with the foal - what's the point of this figure? What is she supposed to represent? (And I ABHOR that hat and hair piece, no matter what they color it.) But that being said, there is enough here to snag my interest. Still, I'd would have liked to have seen what they could do with a traditional 16 figure line-up. I think four more well-realized figures might have taken some of the attention away from the less polished designs.
  25. He's a little "meh" but I want him anyway LOL Looking forward to Series 22 ... when does the guessing game begin? :D
