  1. Trans-pink is a criminally underused colour imo, so any new parts are a bonus!
  2. Again, that sounds like a positive development to me. Clearly they still have some stuff they want to do but if they're already in a position where they're telling users how to proceed when the site reopens, that suggests to me that they're quite close indeed to the moment of reopening.
  3. Am I right in thinking 1x4x3 panels with hollow studs have never been released in trans-yellow before? I presume there are at least a few use-cases that specifically need hollow studs over solid ones (such as inserting bars, for example)
  4. Tbf I was thinking of Mill Village Raid anyway!
  5. Don't forget, tomatoes in the Lego universe only exist in prints rather than as a piece in their own right, so they are as real in the Lego world as dragons and unicorns are in the real world. If we're talking real world, various orders of chivalry accepted women as members (and thus women could be actual, bona fide knights with the properly invested title) as early as 1381. Women fighting on the battlefield are attested well before this, too.
  6. Honestly I want the civilian figs from the OG MMV more than I want the goat. Hoping the goat's rebirth brings the price of the old set down so I can justify it.
  7. And that's exactly the sort of set I'll be a sucker for. It's one of those that I really wanted at the time but didn't have the means to afford - but now that I'm an adult, I'll be able to afford my copy. (And hopefully some PAB goats for good measure!)
  8. Hacing men and women being equally represented isn't ridiculous. It's a toy; Lego themselves are on record, rightly, saying that their priority isn't "realism" but rather allowing all kids to see themselves in their toys. The 'realism' chestnut was bad enough for things like the Eldorado Fortress. It makes no sense when discussing a set that is literally a wizard's magic workshop. Wizards and magic workshops were significantly less common than female knights in the Middle Ages.
  9. Are you saying the giant Belville dog doesn't count!! I'm disappointed the part doesn't exist in red - think of all the Clifford MOCs we might have had!
  10. It's before my time but I know for a fact that they were advertising the Lego club here at least by 1998 - I have a Pharaoh Hotep leaflet extolling the virtues of the Lego Club (just £3.99!) from one of the many joblots I've acquired over the years. I've also found leaflets from earlier in the 90s but a lot of these appear to be foldout catalogues rather than adverts for the Lego club.
  11. Unironically I don't. Is "space elevator" a term in American vernacular or something? All I can think of is that it's an 'elevator' with a space theme, but if that's the only level then it's an observation rather than a pun - what am I missing? (I will, of course, refrain from making the played-out "lifts/levels" pun)
  12. For anyone who hasn't seen, Bricklink have put a new update up:
  13. I only mention mid-twenties because that, in my experience, is also the demographic that is most likely to either still be living with parents or, even if having moved out, to not yet have a family/related expenses (obviously not saying that everyone has a family at a certain age, of course - just making generalisations!) For instance, my circumstances at the moment normally leave me with a few hundred quid a year of disposable income to spend on Lego, which I'm unlikely to have in a few years' time when I really get into my career (aside from having a lot less time to actually spend with Lego!)
  14. Honestly I think purely in terms of adults who might be buying nostalgia Lego, you can go about a decade later than that. I'm in my mid-twenties, so the perfect age to be hooked by nostalgia, and I didn't grow up with the 90s sets. The era of sets I'm nostalgic for extends all the way to the late 2000s. I don't think we'll get remakes of sets in that time period for a while just because it's recent, but the nostalgic adults for 2000s sets are definitely there.
  15. I genuinely love the fact that people know all this information! The wonders of the Internet. Surprised they tried 'Hubble Bubble', would've thought that would be confused with the gum! I think I might adopt "Häxan Matilda" into my headcanon for her.
  16. Honestly I've only found one image because I've still never figured out where leaked images usually get posted. To be honest this is better luck than I've had with most sets! Usually when people are discussing leaked material I have no idea what they're on about because I haven't found it at all. The one image I saw from Google made it seem as though the head is black, but it could have been a combo of dodgy image and shadow from the helmet. I've never liked big bulky stuff! I have some of the old Knights Kingdom swords in a box somewhere which I replaced with the old style shortswords at the earliest opportunity cos they were too bulky for me!
  17. Yeah, I'm well aware I can source an original head. I have multiple of them. That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to express my disappointment in what's coming, especially when - like the rest of the minifigures I'm not excited about - the reason I'm disappointed is because the figure has no use to me personally. The only difference between the new Basil and 9 of the other minifigures is that the others have heads which I can add to my collection of yellow heads, and Basil doesn't.
  18. This is incredible. Probably the best representation of the old exposed-timber aesthetic I've ever seen in Lego (I love your idea of using those tiles for this purpose and will 100% be stealing it for my own creations in the future! ) but the interiors are wonderful too. There's something really cosy about them. They don't feel cramped, they feel like they're about to ring out with the echo of voices in a folk song chorus. Wonderful work!!
  19. Honestly I don't have any use for non-yellow heads and I've literally never liked them. I want more yellow heads, and especially in cases where they're directly recreating a previous minifigure. They could easily do a "monstrous lord" minifigure with a differently-coloured head in any number of contexts without making the figure be Basil.
  20. The female minifigure is the soldier, she's not there instead of a soldier.
  21. I always thought she was called Winnie but turns out I was confusing her with a book series!
  22. Honestly though that depends. I doubt we'd get one of those factions expanded in a single large set a la 10305/the village set, but equally if Lego are considering a more expansive line of sets they might decide to make four or five sets expanding a classic faction rather than four or five Wolfpack sets, for instance.
  23. All these mega rich celebrities are so unimaginative buying the biggest currently available Lego sets. If I had Beckham bucks I'd be looking for a copy of 1309, or 6990, or one of the other yesteryear classics I'll never be able to afford!
  24. Honestly this line to me sums up why I think Star Wars as a whole isn't fading. The sets you've marked as good - and presumably would buy - are exactly the sets that I wouldn't even look at. I simply don't enjoy those parts of the source material (partly because I don't think Dave Filoni is actually a very good writer/director) and there's plenty of Lego for me to buy that isn't based off stuff I didn't like. On the other hand, I might buy another X-Wing or landspeeder because those are based on parts of the source material I did like. (I actually bought the 2020 X-Wing even though I already had the 2006 one, because I wanted the Dodonna and Ep IV Leia figs
