  1. Cheers - I'd never have found it in a million years of searching. A pity it only exists in the one colour though... Oh well!
  2. I'm a fan. Nice and compact, but easily expandable if you suddenly felt it was in want of an extension - I know it's not a groundbreaking technique, but I always like MOCs that take advantage of Technic bricks like that. I had no idea a minifigure head would fit inside one of those crystal ball pieces - not sure why it's never occurred to me to try, but you've opened my eyes somewhat there
  3. I do like this - the red wall shouldn't work to my mind, but it really does, and the detailing makes it. The axles as accents are inspired. I have to ask: what part is the lavender hennin? It looks like an upgrade on the classic one, and I can't say I've ever come across a modern mould.
  4. I like this one a lot! Not huge and sweeping, but it still manages to encompass a certain grandeur. I don't know if it's an established technique that's escaping my mind or if it's something you've innovated here, but I can't fathom how you pulled off the different-level roof tiles.
  5. What worries me is that the Three Broomsticks would have better figures if it was based on the Half-Blood Prince version than the Prisoner of Azkaban. In PoA, there's Fudge, Hagrid and McGonagall but I don't remember any of them being different from the variants we already have. Obviously the main trio as well, but the only truly unique figure that would fit is Madam Rosmerta. Compare that to the Half-Blood Prince, where on top of Rosmerta there'd also be room for a Katie Bell minifigure - in fact, I'd argue that such a set is the only realistic place Katie might turn up in a set, unless they decide for some reason to release the entire Gryffindor Quidditch team. The thing is, all of the main trio's HBP variants were in the CMF series, and they're not going to put CMF releases unchanged into sets released the following year. Which means a HBP Three Broomsticks would have Rosmerta, Katie Bell and a Slughorn variant (and maybe Malfoy) - not enough of a draw to sell the set to anybody but completionists, especially since it's a minor location at best anyway.
  6. There was a Hannah included in the minifigure pack this year, and she's not a big enough character really to warrant being in two relatively cheap sets within twelve months. The absence of Ernie and Justin are mysteries mind, though I feel like Justin's being saved for a Duelling Club set - it is his only real contribution to the films, after all. Not sure where Ernie will ever fit in though, these sets are sort of his now-or-never moment.
  7. I recently acquired a large bulk lot via Facebook which I've been sorting for the past week. Just came across this little dickie which has me stumped - it's a 2x2 Tile in white, without the bottom groove, but I can't identify the sticker. I couldn't find a Bricklink catalogue listing for the tile with the sticker on, nor could I find it on a quick gander at the sticker sheets included with sets featuring a white 2x2 Tile without the groove. Does anybody recognise it? Is it perhaps a sticker from a different set that's got put on here by mistake?
  8. I'm probably something of an outlier, but I'm hoping for a cheeky Ernie Macmillan in the CMF, and maybe an Angelina Johnson/Alicia Spinnet/Katie Bell. The students have always been my favourite part of Harry Potter, and I can't see any particular set Ernie would fit in (as opposed to other students we've never got in Lego form - Justin Finch-Fletchley could hypothetically be in a duelling club/basilisk set later on in the range, there'd be room for Terry Boot or Anthony Goldstein or someone in a hypothetical Dumbledore's Army set, etc.)
  9. I'd buy a Red Dwarf set in a heartbeat! That's a great build you've got going on - and doubly so for including Kochanski (it would, after all, be blasphemy to release a Red Dwarf set without KK!)
  10. Is there a well-established "cut-off point" above which they'll print piece counts on the boxes outside the USA? I just checked a couple of boxes I've got lying around (UK), and my Stranger Things Upside Down has the piece count on the box, but the (far smaller) Captain Marvel Skrull Attack does not. Annoyingly I don't tend to keep my boxes for long once the sets are done, so I can't look at any others, but I seem to recall seeing the piece counts on sets in the past.
  11. I don't think that's an insurmountable problem. The 'All Listings' section is just one click away, and visible from the same screen as the pre-selected seller. (To be honest, I didn't even see the pre-selected seller initially, but that might well be due to my having selective blindness and anticipating looking towards the bottom half of the screen for a price anyway!)
  12. I've always been desperately keen for a proper Doctor Who range (rather than just the one-off set) In terms of licenses that have never been tackled in Lego form, the idea of Red Dwarf appeals to me, though there's the possibility of the minifigures becoming repetitive - there's only so many variants of the Main Four, after all.
  13. I think my first Pirates set (if it counts) was the Brickmaster Pirates book. I only actually picked up one proper set from the latest Pirates run, the Soldiers' Fort (fond memories of saving up all my pocket money until I could afford it!) I did manage to pick up a copy of the old Forbidden Island set (minus one very easily-replaced brick) at a Lego show a few years back. Unfortunately the era of Lego Pirates predates the era of me being able to afford Lego
  14. I had several basic brick tubs, but my first proper set was one of the early Harry Potter sets, with Lucius Malfoy and Dobby (but no Harry, unfortunately).
