LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Wout replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Hello, Maybe this is not the good thread for it, so sorry about that, but I looked online in the new catalogue for the second half of 2019 and I saw that three new city sets had named characters. 60231 Firecar : Freya McCloud, Firewoman 60232 Garage: Harl Hubbs, Garageguy 60233 City Life/ donutshop : Duke DeTain, Policeguy Does anybody know why they did that? -
Motorized Harry Potter Clock Tower with Pendulum 75948 (Instruction)
Wout replied to Gideon8's topic in LEGO Licensed
This looks very nice, although it takes some space of the hospital. When I first saw POA, I wondered how many unsuspected students already walked against the pendulum. -
Or even a reenactor with a minotaurus head. A very nice moc.

That's a great boat with nice windows. It reminds me a bit of 3673 from 1985

Another beautifull build from you. Well done!

That is a very good moc. I love it. I like the bottles in the backside the chest and the old musicplayer also very much. I only ask myself what the megablocks Draco is doing again. He probably want to practice on other students than a real boggart.

I think this looks great. The bendable waist is simple, but very effective and the back tail is creative.

REVIEW: 80101 Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner
Wout replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you for the nice review. I think this design looks great. When I visited a chinese restaurant a year ago, our table had also a "Lazy Susan" Is that common for chinese houses/ restaurants and is that the official name? -
I don't know if It was really supposed to be Robin Hood. I think every local country distribution group of Lego wrote their own descriptions for the sets. In dutch they were called "Vrijbuiters" which could be roughly translated as robbers or people who want loot without paying for it. I looked on Brickfactory in the european catalogues for different countries and they were called in french "hors-la-loi" (correct me if I'm wrong). In an old danish catalog from 1989 they were described as "Skovfolket" which means something like Forestpeople. I think it was more easier for the UK distribution group to name them "Robin Hood and his merry men" then think of a complete new name while their actions and part of the story were quite the same to Robin Hood.

[REVIEW] 5005254 - Harry Potter Minifigures (Bricktober 2018)
Wout replied to kaelthas's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you for the nice review. The figs look very good, but I don't expect to see them in a shop around. I hope they will make later some common sets with at least Umbridge and Slughorn.- 12 replies

Hello, The architecture of the metrostation looks really nice, but you know you have wrote half the post in dutch?
-
Nice set. Pity that it's exclusive, It would be a great addition to the normal city line.

Thank you for the nice review, Whitefang. I like this serie, mostly because you get a new and more affordable way to get Queasykitty and the designs and pieces are different enough. The Clouds look great. Pity although you can't feel what you get. Maybe this serie also got not much attention because we got on the same time a Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts CMF.

[MOC] Kowalski Bakery - Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them
Wout replied to LuxorV's topic in LEGO Licensed
That looks very good. I've got the idea Tina is very dedicated to hotdogs if she still wants to eat them when she can get something from Jacobs shop.- 9 replies

That's an awesome turtle. I would love to see the whole turtle, but that's probably not possible.

@cebelicamya Yes, I found them in July in a lego store. But I found out they were special after I searched on Bricklink from where they from.

Thank you, I couldn't find these versions earlier there. But it is nice to know they made sometimes different versions for this.

Dear moderators, feel free to move this question if it's not in the right thread. I visited the Lego certified Store in Roma Tomacelli last week and I bought a BAM pack with some colourversions of a hat and a minifigwig I didn't know there was a version of them in that colour . It was the Minifig Hair Bubble style (afro) in Common blue and the CMF series 11 Scarecrow hat in turquoise. Now I searched for it on Bricklink from which sets they were and Bricklink says they don't exist. Does this happens before?
