  2. My ideal Christmas gift would be a cozy little room only for LEGO! And I added something extra after seeing the second frontpaged prizes image … Thanks a lot CopMike for this fun raffle every year! Good luck to everyone and have nice holidays when they arrive!
  3. As far as the canon concerns, I must say it's really cool to have such an item reference. The only problem might be two players claiming the same item ... but I guess it's first comes first serves. In CW series we all know Darth Maul was slain by Palpatine and that he had no interest in the blade itself, so it was most probably left lying on the ground. This way one must not even be Vizsla's son or grandson to own it now. Not even does he have to slay a mighty Sith for it. But I'd really like to find out how this particular character got hold of it! And I believe it's not about the points, it's just people sometimes try to use something well known from the universe to feel more connected. It's also more fun making a story around such items, keeping it as canon as possible. Besides CW itself has so many canon anomalies, it can clearly survive such a minor flaw - if there is any at all?! - even if this really is Vizsla's blade.
  4. Do I have to be a member of a guild to participate in this fun contest?
  5. I don't see all the fuss about this set being created. People were asking for a more adult or AFOL themed sets and now that they get one, they are complaining about TLGs principles and ethics?! I never really watched the show and have no idea what it's about. I can say that I didn't like it from the few glipses I had at it, but know a lot of people who do. I'll definitely buy this set, for I see it as parts pack especially for some new fleshy minifig heads. And yes it is simple as said - if someone thinks the set is inappropriate your best message to TLG is by not buying it ... I don't really care if LEGO decides to produce the "real" adult toys shop as a set. If I like the parts in it I'll buy, else I wont - no big deal about it.
  6. I have two new Darth Vedars (from 75055) for trade. I'm really looking for the Darth Revan polybag, might even add the hologram for that one :) or some superheroes minifigs in equivalent value: Clark Kent Commissioner James Gordon Doc Ock Electro Iron Patriot Loki Mary Jane Mr. Freeze Nebula Pepper Potts
  7. Very nice idea and execution! Although I'm not a big fan of brickbuild animals, this Smaug looks quite smooth. Just a minor sugestion would be to replace the rock where Bilbo is hiding with a pillar. Would be more movie accurate but the pillar should be cut so it wouldn't cover the dragon. Well done and good luck!
  8. Very cool build! The modular system is used in a lot of sets lately and it's a nice feuture. The play feutures are also nicely presented and the minifigs are stunning. This really is the one set that was missing in the official line the most and your entry just screams official LEGO set all around. Maybe there's only too many minifigs. Though this is how similar army building sets should look like, I guess TLG would simply erase one Gondorian and two hunter orcs or at least make most of them bald ... The only complaint might be that there's too many places with LBG and DBG only. TLG usualy tries to make sets more colorful. Maybe dark tan plates for ground might help with that and some more wooden pieces in the ruins. But as said, great entry and good luck in the competition!
  9. Very cool build! I really like the details of the computers on the wall and the trans line under the white platforms look really cool. Though the gaps bother me a bit - maybe you should just go for a straight corner build? The inclusion of other characters sure is fun and I see you used some of my ideas for swaping the yellow with flesh ... Isn't it nice to see all the figs in flesh!?
  10. Well I've been asking for a subforum for SoNE ever since episode II I think ... it could have a Rebel and imperial secret subforums instead of these (useless) ship threads, where RPG as character speech was never understood by majority of players. It could have tactics talk as well as WIPs if so desired ... but anyway, where's the point in keeping WIPs secret? Apart from the last and episode IV all entries were allowed to be entered as WIPs. As far as I recall the number of participants that took advantage of that could be count with the fingers of a (carpenters) hand. Rebel advice could abviously do us good too so I see no need in having a secret VIP area. Especially not somewhere outside EB. I don't use flickr and have no intention to in a near future. Five LEGO forums, 3 mails and a dozen of other sites is quite enough to check, plus I'm a very lazy person.
  11. Thanks again to MKJoshA for a great episode! Sadly I couldn't be all in for the lack of time, but I'll double my efforts for the next one! Congrats to the Rebels, I knew Bob was lying about the right side ... at least we're staying number 1 and the Rebels slipped down one place
  12. Very inapropriate people chosen you have ... One is so undecided, he can't even shoot a puppy-eye Ewok and rather kills his own mate, the other is obviously rooting for the wrong team! Congrats guys, hope all the indices are up to date from now on and that you bring some order to this part of the galaxy - the Imperial way that is!
  13. Is it really close in favor of the right or the wrong side?
  14. Glad to help ...
  15. You write in here: "I want to join as an Imperial stormtrooper", and thst's it! Then you start building the freebuilds to introduce your character ...
  16. Although Mustafar is not the nicest place to be in and there was not much going on there in the movies, that does not prevent the epicness of this creation! The lava and rock work is splendid and also the brown structure looks just as it should. Going microscale is a really nice idea so that you were able to capture a bigger area in the creation. The white ship is a nice touch and it's a shame there was not a major battle going on there, that would really revitalize an already fabulous MOC by a little. I wonder, were there both dark grey colors used for rock work (old and new) or is that just the lighting in some places?
  17. Great job everyone, some really nice entries for an interesting challenge. Since I'm not aloud to say it in the voting post, I'd like to point out my absolute favourite: the Chima wolf! :) And good luck to everyone ...

  19. Awesome! Finally a good reason to step out of the Star Wars for a short time ...
  20. Nice job BEAVeR, but I thinkk that some entries are pretty tiny. Is there a way to make a bigger version, so that it could be printed onto A2 or something?
  21. Hey, marcus and Disco, don't you two dare to eve think about leaving SoNE. Even if we loose a battle, the war still continues and we need every trooper availible! Thanks to MKJoshA for extending the deadline! Sadly for me it was not enough to complete all the entries, but I hope it's enough. Post grduation times are tougher than I thought ... I'm sorry to my team mates, but I wasn't able to finish my final two entries ... It's aleways like that - when there's a fun episode on, I have far too little time! :( Thanks again for an extraordinary episode, that's been the best so far I think! Nice to see the Rebels to fight along with this one, though they are no match for the Empire! Nice to see Jacob, Ninja and LegoFjotten return! Also another sorry for not being able to comment on all the great builds that were produced during this episode, but I was really short on time ... See you in the next battle!
  22. Our dark trooper diver reported from another scum infested planet - Mon Calamari. He had to go deep under water to make contact with some sympathisers of the Empire. Dark trooper: Commander I have reached the contact and we have some good news. MstrOfPppts: Finaly, and what is the news? Dagoh: As I have explained to your trooper, Boba is here. MstrOfPppts: Is there a safe way to get to him? Dagoh: No, the part of the city he landed in is full of Rebel troops. MstrOfPppts: So what is the good news? Dagoh: Boba is leaving soon and we are certain his next stop is Bothawui. MstrOfPppts: Good, we have our troops there.
  23. Maybe you should just post it, in case the judges will update your status during the night ... else it might just be taken out of competition?
