  1. You’ve been awarded ( 2 ) points. Judges’ comments… Pictures are a little better for this one but still need some help. You might benefit from taking pictures out side or in a better lit room. As far as the build goes, there is a decent amount of detail here but it looks a little rushed. Slow down on the number of builds and go for quality. Again, there is more building effort going on, but I see many of the same issues from your previous builds. If only there was an overview shot of the entire build? Please, take the notes we give you into account. Work on the lighting. The wonderful thing about digital cameras is you can take many pictures of the same thing from slightly different angles and then choose which is the best shot to include. Too many pictures and your audience may get bored. Please apply these points to your future builds and your scores will increase, I guarantee it! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  2. You’ve been awarded ( 2 ) points. Judges’ comments… It looks like you put some effort in on this one, but again this suffers from lack of good pictures. We want to see your WHOLE build, not just a zoomed in scene. I see a bit more building effort going on here, but I need to ask; why does the interior room have a stone floor with a hidden door? Maybe a smooth tiled floor with an opening door would be a better choice? Your interior of the one room is very, VERY detailed...but it's a shame I could not actually see how well the rest of the build was detailed. If only there was an overview shot of the entire build? Please, take the notes we give you into account. We aren't trying to act as if we are better than you, we are trying to give you observations to help your builds improve. Gotta figure out the lighting as well. Yellow can photograph well, you just cannot aim the light source directly at the yellow or it will be washed out. Again, please apply these points to your future builds and your scores will increase, I guarantee it! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  3. You’ve been awarded ( 2 ) points. Judges’ comments… So the spots where you built stuff were nicely done. The vehicles have a good amount of detail and the overall build is very clean. There wasn't too much building going on for the size of this though. My only suggestion would be to fill this in a bit more since your using open road base plates. Nicely done overall and presentation is on point! Good concept, but I think your last build was a bit more detailed. You made an effort, I could clearly see that with the grass and vegetation. These smaller builds are great to pack detail into because you don't have to detail 8 baseplates, just 2. Pics were good, always helps when you have a solid color contrasting backdrop. Good job! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  4. Who makes those helmets you're using?
  5. That's how you do it!. Keep raising the bar my friend!
  6. The Campaigns you're seeing people refer to are Solo Campaigns that players have either earned during the last run of the game or have decided to purchase with their in game credit. At some point we will have an all encompassing campaign for everyone to do, but that will be a while out.
  7. Glad to see you guys have carried on posting builds. I had a real life emergency take over for the past 2 weeks so I should be back and on here. Have some new content coming your way soon and put out notice to the staff to get your builds scored. Those of you who haven't posted your Campaign builds, keep an eye on what is going on around. The longer you wait, the less effective your builds may become (not in terms of points but in effecting the overall game) @sigpro I'm hoping to have your next Solo Campaign build sent over to you by this evening (my time)
  8. Having a slight delay with getting scoring up for the new round of builds guys. Just hang in there a few.
  9. You’ve been awarded (2) points. Judges’ comments… Not a bad build getting back in the game but not a whole lot going on here either. This is more of a display of minifigures than a build really. Your camera work is excellent though. I don't think an awards ceremony requires everyone to bring their rifle...but maybe things work differently in that country? Not a whole lot of action or events going on here, just an awards ceremony. It's very basic, and that's not bad as you've got that down; some grass, a temple type building/pavilion, and some concrete walkway. Maybe if you had expanded out and had more detail with grass and the surrounding area? Maybe add a bit on the roof? Good background, solid color works very well here and doesn't seem to wash out the color of the build, but beware your lighting. Big dark spot on the right said. Good start. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  10. You’ve been awarded (3) points. Judges’ comments… Nicely done! Lots of detail through out the build has me looking to see what I missed. I really like the design of the fence around the entire place. Key advice I can provide here for this is to maybe work on the presentation a bit. Images seemed to be lacking a little in terms of light and color. Outside is always the best place to shoot but if you can't, a good lit room will work wonders for you. Overall, nice job! This was a very detailed build for your first entry. The entire surface of this build is covered in details. The lighting for your photos was my only concern here. I think the lighting wasn't bad, but with the white background, it kind of washed out the color of the actual build. Something to look at for the future. Great job though, welcome to the game! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  11. You’ve been awarded (2) points. Judges’ comments… Not a bad build for your first go at this. A few things I would have liked to see better overall shots of the build. Also, never really got to see your whole vehicle. Think about the pictures before you take them. Keep your perspective in mind. You might benefit from looking back through some of the older posts to see what others have done picture wise. Build wise, it was a little bit basic but we'll see where you go from here. Lighting was very good on this one, but the fact the pics are so close up without giving us a sense of the full build worked against your point total here. But it's early and we're all learning. The terrain is extremely flat along the river/creek bed...may want to add a little bit of a rise with the dirt to show how the water washes away terrain? Be sure to include an overview shot, even if it's hidden at the end in spoiler tags; this is good because it shows everyone what you had at the end of the post. You can also include any thoughts, ideas, plans you had, or modifications used. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  12. You’ve been awarded (2) points. Judges’ comments… This one didn't really have too much in the way of building. Focus a little bit on your landscape like texturing your base plate to look like more than what it is. Also same goes as before with the pictures. I did like the design on the bike. Well, it's an early build and your guys are running around in full black gear with night vision. Slow down, I know you're excited, but be sure to think about the setting. Your troops are using night vision gear in a fully lit display! Imagine how much wilder this could be if the lights were low, the lighting was behind you or very low, and then that forest is a lot more creepy! Your lighting, once again, is good, but I want you to start throwing down some variation in terrain. NO ground is that flat unless a sports team is playing there and you are paying over $50 a ticket to watch! Slow down, get some feedback so your builds can grow, and you'll be fine. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  13. You’ve been awarded (2) points. Judges’ comments… This build has a lot more going on than the prior ones. The dam concept is nice. You could focus on showing water moving or maybe a little texturing along the bank there. Again I do need to stress the photos. You might benefit from better lighting to really bring out the details in your pictures. Also, don't get carried away making multiple builds in a short period of time. I know your anxious to gain some points, but quality over quantity my friend. Nice work! This is a very detailed build, which is good. But I see some areas that are very detailed and other areas lacking. A dam should have a fairly active bed of water and there is nothing going on. Let's see some ripples/waves/foam; anything to draw me in! The hill to the left was good. Try to use smaller pieces to create a large area. Example, you have 2 different shades of gray going on in the dam at first glance...light grey and light bluish grey (light bley). This can add a ton of detail when used properly. Instead of big stripes of color differences, go with the 'less is more' idea. Sprinkle it in, and then if you need to, go back and add some more. The light wasn't as great in other builds of yours, but the close up shots really show how dirty your blue plate is. Be sure to wash it, or dust it as that really makes a build look bad. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  14. You’ve been awarded (4) points. Judges’ comments… Grand slam. Awesome Build! The only thing I will say is I think you went a little bit overboard with all of the stickers/posters on the walls. Not a whole lot for me to say otherwise and you hit off the new round with a bang. Quality job my friend, expecting more of this from you! Fantastic amount of detail on this build...maybe a little too much from the outside? This doesn't look like an overnight build so good job with the effort. Lighting wasn't bad, maybe try to get a light directly over the top as the shadows and dark spot upstairs in that first overview pic really stands out. Great start to the second round. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  15. You’ve been awarded (3) points. Judges’ comments… Well that is one way to make a first impression, very nice job. Loads of details from things littered on the table to the lamps and floor design. I particularly liked the desk and the chair. It is apparent you have a sharp sense of detail so we know what to look for scoring your future builds, look forward to seeing them! Good start and welcome to the game. I think a second wall on one of the sides of this room would have added a lot to the build. The room is well detailed. Lighting is key when taking pics, it can make a picture seem lost or hidden, or at times even wash away all of the color. The solid background is great, but just be sure to put plenty of light on your build to make it pop! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  16. Players from the last game got to carry over some of their points for the start of the new one. Use the map to determine which country is which. Swintoc has a lot of varying terrain.
  17. Contract Missions -A list of known / suspected insurgents and their affiliates will be randomly distributed with an award listed for each. (Points, Campaign Intel, Etc.) -Each target will have a description listed with criteria needed to capture them and what the cost is to take on the contract. -Players post in this thread publicly to take on a contract. -Players have to do a build showing their team taking the target out with the above criteria. -Missions are Pass or Fail based on meeting the criteria required for the build - Extreme detail required for passing regardless of size. -First come, First Serve. -Each player can only do (1) Per Month. -If one player fails to complete the mission, another player can attempt the same mission. -Build does not count towards side build limit. - Build title should be formatted as (GBW) HUNT - YOUR NAME - MONTH/YEAR - TARGET #. EXAMPLE (GBW) HUNT - BEEZE - JUNE 18, TARGET 02
  18. HMMMMM where did you get those custom printed Map Stickers?

  20. You need to use the BBC Code from flickr to insert your pictures so they are visible here. Go back and edit your post to try that. Also, let's use a normal size font so we don't have to squint the entire time reading
  21. In the interest of keeping ourselves sane, it is per calendar month. Good Question!
  22. First round of solo campaigns have been distributed. If you have one saved up from the last round or have enough points to buy one, contact me. With the campaign open, you can start doing sidebuilds as well to start earning points and create your background stories.
  23. I see only 1 tiny island there, those wooded areas are connected. A note on islands that are not labeled, they are not labeled because we want to have things for the future to be able to breathe life into the game and to be able to use them as needed. The beauty in the new map software we are using is that it allows to update things quite easily so as things are used, revealed, and added- we will update the maps. See first post for back story. Welcome to Phase 2!
