Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Doge replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
You should find more info on your Lego shop page, it depends on the country you live in. (For instance in the Netherlands there will probably be a 20% discount on the BB) Also about the possible postoffice; its still a rumor, so it also might not be true :/ -
A small bump here, hows it going with the reviews?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Doge replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I remember from a video on youtube that Jamie said on a tour that the average time they need to make a creator expert is 3 months... Perhaps its the same for the modulars, so they're maybe not completely done yet with this one? -
https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/11/14/lego-introduces-new-rollercoaster-system-lego-batman-70922-joker-manor-review/ Brothers Brick suspect from the design of the rollercoasters cards a mechanized possibility, enough fuel for new discussion?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Doge replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
On a completely other topic: Sometime ago I got the Lego Architecture Guide. Its a quite visual presentation of the first years of the Architecture branch, which presents every building with all kinds of details and other info. Maybe an interesting idea regarding the Modular line? 11 Sets and 10 years so far of buildings, sounds quite abit like a potential book with background info and designer notes! Bellow a presenation sheet of the Architecture book and a visual impression of the book. I'm curious if my vision is shared! ;) -
When can I expect that the first wave of the Architecture Skyline series (aka New York, Venice and Berlin) will retire? @Fairsy Could I ask about how much your collection costed all together?
-
@EddieZ Thanks for the nice video, gives a good impression! @Tragic Banjo Good point will take a look at it, thanks! If anybody else got an opinion/video or picture, feel free to share! :)

I'm currently looking into buying a fairground themed set (10244 Fairground Mixer/10247 Ferris Wheel/10257 Carousel) to go with my Modulars! Can somebody advice which set fit the best with Modular themed building? Also, does somebody maybe have pictures where both modulars as fairground sets are visible for comperison?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

It's a 'shop@home' exclusive, aka a sales way that there won't be any party selling it besides Lego itself. Lego hardly does any kind of (worthy) sales on their website, and I never witnessed any sale on Exclusives as the Modulars... (except maybe Cyber Monday, but I'm not sure about that) -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Welcome to the club, here a collector who got the first 11 houses! :) If you're interested, here's a nice summary of the history of the Modulars - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Modular_Buildings Its indeed more possible that the Palace Cinema will retire, but that can also still take some months... In my experience the houses have a longer time span than previous modulars, now they usually run 3-4 years before retirement... (I dont know about the role of 12/31 in this) Here a usefull website that indeed states the fact that the Palace Cinema will retire soon - http://retiringsets.com/lego-retiring-soon-2017/ Good luck with your decision, feel free to ask if you got more questions ;) -
Thanks for the fix, a shame it appearantly isn't a tradition for Fairground themed sets...

Ever wondered where the balloon on the Ferris Wheel comes from? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=40108-1

Well seen! It looks like both the swing attraction as the rollercoaster are getting closer and closer to the scene... The next fairground attraction will probably also be a classic one, but which one is a good thing to speculate about for the upcoming year

Glad there's finally the official info, but do I see it correctly that there will be stickers as the golden mirrors in the middle part of the carousel? Finally the mystery is solved, thanks! Its possible, like the Ferris Wheel, that a polybag will be released at the same time as the set. Since there won't be a sixth animal, it will have to be somthing else though...

Maybe because one of their friends is missing? Anyway it seems that every animal is contained by a grey pilar at each side, aka whats between the frog and elephant? I'm affraid that can be true, kinda logical since the text (previous page) states that its 'easy to transport', meaning the ticket boot and turning mechanism can probably be fit in the empty place! (The place mirrored from the swan, between the frog and elephant) I'm curious now how that will look like, when there's (probably) an empty spot between all the animals.

Did anyone else notices that the pictures shows five animals, but they aren't placed symetrical to each other? To me it kinda looks like there's a sixth animal behind the middle part of the Carousel (mirrored to the swan) which can't be seen... Or were the animals moved abit just so they were all contained in the picture?

Awesome! Hopefully it will rotate better than the last Carousel. I'm kinda annoyed though that the animals are positioned like there's a sixth animal hiding between the frog and elephant... Shame that there isn't a soundbrick though...

It means that the Lego company now (as at this moment) sees the Fairground as an official theme, just as Modulars and Seasonal sets, so basically yes :D Ok thanks for the info!
