  1. A cool set, with many useful pieces and the other builds are also splendid; the skull island looks really mean, like a pirate hideout should.
  2. Funny how the barber puts on the shaving cream. Truely a great moc!
  3. Well, as expected the buildings for the City theme are practically non-existent, and no wonder since the main plane is 8studs wide. But the sets are colorful so kids will like them. 60260 is a poor set though. It has no spectators and personally I have never seen helicopters which compete during an air show against each other.
  4. It's the same hull (from 60095; U shape) back to back? I thought it's a different one. That would mean the ship has a hole in the center... they must be joking if that's true.
  5. Yes, 60095 had more accessories, but the boat hull was useless. The new ship can be easily transformed into a cargo ship for instance, and it comes with a small helicopter. I like this one better.
  6. I'm looking at the pictures and still wondering if the bow is made of big elements. The shape is surprisingly smooth.
  7. It's such a shame and waste on Lego's part, that the roller coaster tracks are to steep so they can't be used for a city monorail remake... Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this year's diving sets. The polybag is really promising, and hopefully I will be able to grab it.
  8. But why? We will get at least the blacksmith this year!
  9. I voted for the idea submission at a late stage and I did it primarily because I wanted a pirate set to be made. And here it finally is. The darker colors were never in my eyes realistic, and I see the playability for kids really improved. Imagine being 10 again! Certainly I would like this set more than a huge 6270 Forbidden Island without a ship. Perhaps a new pirate vessel, with realistic looking sails, instead of a BSB remake, would have been more innovative, but that can easily be mended.
  10. I don't have the BSB original but I think not. The shape looks rather similar to the 2015 version.
  11. It's full of surprises... other pictures show even coconuts on the palm trees. All sins forgiven LEGO, now pass me the rum!
  12. So cool that we get sails to build a complete ship... I LOVE IT!
  13. Perhaps it's a torso from the brick built Creator ship? I really like it and can't wait for the final pictures!
  14. Looks like a curved printed tile for the control
  15. Pirate girl is a huge disappointment... sounded much more promising; the knight, viking, diver and Mexican boy are must buys for me
  16. I see, thank You both. I'll wait better than.
  17. Excuse my ignorance, but what is the point in preordering the set now? Wouldn't it make more sense to buy it during the May the 4th event... with all the SW gifts available? Or are preorders excluded from minimum buy for the gifts?
  18. According to rumors on instagram the prices for 2 upcoming ideas sets are $199.99 and $349.99. Which is the Pirate Bay do you think?
  19. User TurboTj-DK has posted pictures in the Hidden Side forum of a castle with ghosts in the shape of bluecoat soldiers... I wonder if we can expect more surprises soon.
  20. I'm really happy Creator expands into the Classic Lego seas... hopefully other subthemes will follow soon. I expect that they will use some 12 stud bow pieces for the front similar to the solution found in 31083: Cruising Adventures. Hopefully the New York fair will reveal the finished model... and explain what the Leaf set code means for us Pirate fans.
  21. I was hoping for some info about the future Pirate Bay set, but the current speculation is totally unexpected! I keep my fingers crossed and can't wait for more inside news!
