It looks interesting, but I still dislike the animation style. I'll still see it anyway though. Personally, I'm looking forward more to the live action TV series.

My favourite set ever! I'm tempted to pick 2230 up just for the raft, it's awesome.

Hey man, welcome to Eurobricks! You gonna post any of the Adventures of Jimmy the LEGO Man? PS: If anyone's curious, I work with this guy. Only just found out he's a bit of a LEGO fan.

What game are we playing at the moment?
Mr Hobbles replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm playing Mafia on the PC. Quite an old game now, but I'm really enjoying it. I would say I prefer it to the GTA's. -
I saw episode 1 a couple of weeks ago and episode 2 on Saturday. All I have to say is that the first episode kicked megablocks, and the second was even better. I just hope they don't do what they did with season 3. Which is spend their entire budget on the first six episodes and have to make the rest into a courtroom drama.

I got it on Friday too. It's awesome. Trouble is I only got around to playing it today, and I got a couple of friends round so I went out to buy a couple more Wii Wheels. EVERYWHERE is sold out! Mario Kart has always been one of my favourites though, since the N64 version. The online play on the DS was awesome and it's even better on the Wii. I love Mario Kart. -
I'm mainly into City and Trains, and of course the Modular Buildings line! However recently I've taken a liking to the Indiana Jones line; I'm planning the purchase of a few of them. :-$

May I recommend compressed air canisters? They're usually used for blowing dust off computer parts or as the propellant for airbrushes, but they come with this nice little "drinking straw" that plugs into the hole and can blow air whereever you point it. The ones I have are made by Badger for their airbrushes. Usually run about £2 ($4, €3) per can where I'm from.

Woohoo, Warmachine! My secret love. I've always meant to pick up a few of the minis but never really gotten round to it. Very nicely painted aswell! Well done!

Currently moved back to Red Alert 2, fantastic game! Playing it again as Red Alert 3 has just been announced. Woot! Also playing a bit of Advance Wars: Dual Strike on the Nintendo DS...as research for my dissertation! Ahem. :-P If I posted a link to the game I've been working on for my Honours Project could you guys play it for a bit to test it? :-) -
Thanks Dunamis! Great review, I sooo must have this set. I have to disagree about Market Street though, as I've stated before it's my favourite of the three. It has a perfect size - not too large, not too small. It has many interesting building techniques which I thought were really cool, and I really like the colour. I don't agree it looks <insert that tiresome argument> at all.

I'm a City fan, I've never posted in this section before, but after seeing the pic of 10191 (Or half of it), I may just be tempted. This is a VERY nice Space set, even so far. I like the little fuel base, and the little ship reminds me a bit of set I see mentioned all the time, set 918 (Link), which I think is kinda cute. 10192 doesn't really appeal to me, but I think that's because it's a bit "out there". I like the human theme of 10191. They both seem like very well designed sets though. :-) I think that $100 is a bit much, but seeing that the pics we've seen don't even show half of what's in the box, I'll wait and see what the other half looks like. :-P

This may be one advent calendar to get! Out of all the things there, the ones I most want are the photographer, palette transporter, guy with barbeque, ice-cream vendor, girl with snowman and the cat!

Any news or photos on Toy Fair London or NYC??

LEGO is really getting sooo much of my money this year. :-( Town Plan, Green Grocer, 4x4 & Jet Ski, Truck & Forklift, Mail Van...it's too much! I hate you LEGO. You're making me poor. :-( PS: Can I just say, look here! SHARKS WITH FRIGGIN' LASER BEAMS!!! -

New trailer! http://gizmodo.com/356366/indiana-jones-iv...s-wet-our-pants Hopefully there should be a better quality one before too long! -
Went back to see Cloverfield, but just as we went in my flatmate decided against it. So we went to see No Country for Old Men instead. Very good movie, as usual from the Cohen brothers. Very (ironically) funny, with great characters and story, and brilliantly executed. Acting was generally excellent, with the possible exception of Tommy Lee Jones who seemed to me like he couldn't be bothered. He's also looking very aged now, but that fit in with his role.

I saw Cloverfield on Monday with a friend and loved it. I thought it was awesome. I went back today with another friend who hadn't seen it yet, she threw up from vertigo. We had to leave half-way through. :-( She didn't make it to the bathroom either, it was all over the aisle. We were so embarassed. 8-| She loved what she saw of it though, so we're going back tomorrow to give it a second shot (Unlimited cinema passes rule!), with the advice of "If you start feeling dizzy, look away from the screen for the while".

At the moment all I've been playing is the excellent Fancy Pants Adventures by Brad Borne. You can find them here: World 1 World 2 Not had much time for anything else, spent most of it developing my own game for my Uni dissertation. :-) -
I'd quite like a Fire "House", like the type you see dotted around American cities. It could fit right in next to the existing buildings (Even plugging into them). A full blown Fire Station is unnecessary as there are plenty of them already. Not to mention it would likely be huge and very expensive.

I agree completely. I think the obvious intention is that the three of them are part of the same series and work well together in the same environment. I also think the only reason Market Street is a Factory set is because LEGO wanted to show people what a "normal" person could create that would work well with the modular building standard. (Market Street is also my favourite so far...although Green Grocer may topple it!)

Just had another thought - does anyone know the contents of the next BrickJournal? I was reluctant to pay for something that was free, but if it contains an exclusive on Green Grocer like Cafe Corner and Market Street then it may just tempt me. :-)

There are no words to describe how much I want this set. :'-) Is it by the same guy who did Cafe Corner and the Town Hall?

What got you back into lego after your "Dark Ages"?
Mr Hobbles replied to Joey Lock's topic in Community
Cafe Corner. When it came out, it was posted on Digg.com (A "social" news site). I saw it and I had to have it. It was literally all I ever wanted from a LEGO set since I was a kid. Now we have Market Street, Town Plan and Green Grocer. Thank you LEGO! PS: I definitely prefer Market Street to Cafe Corner, but Green Grocery may just surpass it! I also plan on getting Town Plan at some point. Must...have...money...
