  1. Well damn, that is unfortunate for you guys. I really dislike when they restrict the qualifying purchases. Here in the US, there are no stipulations about what type of sets you buy, only the $75 threshold. Classic Superman DOES look great with dual-molded legs. He looks AMAZING. And fortunately, Spidey's dual-molded legs are $2.22 on Bricks and Pieces (USA), so I got them for Supes, Captain America, and Spider-man, as well as a pair of Batman's dual-molded legs to give to Ghost Rider, eventually. We'll see how that looks when the time comes. For the record, Superman and Captain America both look better than Spider-Man does with Spidey's own legs, in my opinion. Not that Spidey looks bad, but standing next to the other two, I become more aware that Spidey's boots are supposed to have printing as well. I promise, that's not intended as a complaint, just a testament to how awesome the legs look on Supes, in particular. And, of course, I switched out the blue hips for red hips. My Superman wears his undies on the outside. I definitely agree about some dual-molded legs for Flash, but I would absolutely hate little lighting prints being added to him. I much prefer the clean, red look. Opinions! I understand that lots of people want lots of different things, but I don't think anyone on either side is being too outrageous in voicing their opinions. Either way, TLG will keep on keepin' on.
  2. In the video which was posted a while back, I seem to remember hearing that the arms don't move, so I don't think you'll be able to position them both standing, side-by-side, holding hands, since the baby's arms are permanently angled downward. That's ridiculous... ...but not as ridiculous as this. Lol. A.B., I hope you won't ever try that for real. (I just needed an excuse to say WON'T.)
  3. Huh, I remember straining to hear correctly, but I thought he was saying it was a standard neck-piece size. But maybe you're right! I'm not gonna go back and check it right now though Agreed, there could be tons of applications, and I definitely like some of your suggestions. I can't really picture the joey (which is what I assume you mean by "little kangaroo"), but I love the idea of a marionette or robot! I'm definitely looking forward to the babysitter and a certain infamous ventriloquist.
  4. Oh my. "Willn't" drives me just as crazy as "won't" drives you. But the point is.... ^This. That is going to look so freaky. I'm not sure if I'm in favor or against.
  5. Where are we seeing the Iron Man vs Loki set? Did I miss something? (I mean, obviously I did....BUT WHERE? C'mon, Google...) EDIT: Finding the pics took less time than the original post. MOVE ALONG, NOTHING TO SEE HERE. Ah, too late. Thanks, Mapashote! v
  6. I believe this is going to be dependent on what console you are playing on. Xbox 360 had no dinosaurs (as of 4 months ago, though some posters say this has changed), whereas Xbox One does. I have no idea about the other consoles.
  7. Oh wow, thank you so much for that link! I hadn't seen that yet, and it definitely provided some definitive answers! It seems odd to me that the head is removable, yet not interchangeable with standard heads. I'm also disappointed that the arms don't move, but oh well, what the hell, I still love these guys and I can't wait to amass a creepy, jankily-toddling army of soulless babies.
  8. Thoughts! - I <3 Scarlet Spider. I'm sure I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again. His logo placement is a bit disappointing from a purely fanboyish, slight-changes-induce-rage sort of perspective, but it's understandable, considering that the hood piece covers up a significant portion of what would be the proper place for the logo. All in all, it's a minor quibble that will on slightly affect my sheer joy at having a real LEGO Scarlet Spider. I <3 Scarlet Spider. (Toldja.) - $99 (USD) for the Web Warrior Bridge Battle! Thank you, Gods of Commerce! I was afraid we poor Americans would once again be screwed into paying the converted monetary equivalent for our LEGO sets. Seriously though, I was expecting this to come in at closer to $120, ala Jokerland. I know Jokerland had a modular, more decentralized aspect that can be deceptive, and I'm not sure of the piece count of the two sets, respectively, but they seemed comparable to me. Except I hate nu52 Harley Quinn. But I <3 Scarlet Spider. Green Goblin looks great, too, as does Scorpion. Ultimate Spider-Woman is a neat, "cost-effective" figure that I can't imagine anyone really wanted, but will be appreciated by some, including me. Aunt May surely does...exist. Honestly, I'm not sure what else to say about her. I'm not a fan of civilians. Or damsels and dames in distress. Or old people. (I kid.) - About these...comments...about Kraven, which I swear I have seen more than one of: I don't even get it. He looks bored. Or boring. Or both. (Are gay people stereotypically bored and/or boring? Is that a thing?) The rest of him looks amazing. He looks like everything Kraven should look like. Except for that face. Bored and boring. - Hobgoblin and Ghost Rider look superb in close-up! That set is so drool-worthy, for me. Minor quibbles/thoughts about Ghost Rider include: wondering if maybe a trans-orange head with skull printing, combined with the new flame hairpiece (similar to G. Goblin, Esq.'s new pumpkin bomb) might better convey a skull fully engulfed in flames; being glad I bought some extra dual-molded Batman legs to give to Ghost Rider, so he can have some wicked motorcycle boots. - Civil War sets = meh. I love the movies, but I'll take my LEGO comic-based, thanks. I know plenty of people disagree, and I'm happy for them (or sad, depending on whether they get Hawkeye and Vision), but I just don't care. Crossbones looks pretty great. Giant-Man looks insanely fun, but is the only part of the set I want. Black Panther looks, let's say, "suited to the movie universe", which isn't my cup of tea, but I doubt I'll get a chance at a comic-based version of him. Or Black Widow. Or Vision. Or Hawkeye. Or Aunt May- CRAP, WAIT, NOOOOOO!!!!! (I still <3 Scarlet Spider) - Still looking for some Strange.
  9. Heeeey, nice list! But questions! Is Slimer really necessary? Follow-up: why? Related: I bought Gollum, partially because he is able to access mini-hatches underwater, and partially so I can smack someone in the face with a fish. Is there anything the Slimer can do that I can't do with combinations of Gollum, Venkman, and the tons of other characters I already have? I really had no intention of buying Slimer and would hate to change my mind, but I am buying for pleasure as well as completion of the game. Semi-related: I got lucky when I chose Cragger over the other Chima stuff. I feel like I could not have chosen a worse character for voice-acting abilities, but he was definitely useful. Hmm, that's a tough call. My first impulse would be to say the Wizard of Oz world. I can't tell you how delighted I was when I found Kansas. Who knew?? I also love the boldly-outlined, cartoony look of the Scooby Doo world. As for the most disappointing levels*......drumroll.....Jurassic World and DC Comics world! As a huge DC fan, that was THE first world I visited, but I was a bit shocked at how small it was. In retrospect, my expectations for that aspect were faaaar too high and I will admit that it really has been fun since then. Swimming around in Atlantis almost completely made up for that initial sense of disappointment. But Jurassic World.....just....wow. I originally bought this game for Xbox 360, and I naturally assumed that there would be some instances where details are not the same, due to the older generation console, but I was completely appalled to see that there were absolutely NO dinosaurs in Jurassic World. Not a single one. What the expletive. Since then, I actually bought an Xbox One, and since some of the deals were so good on the starter packs, I bought a second copy. There are dinosaurs in this version, not a lot, but some. So that's cool I guess. BUT DAMN, that was really terrible. I was so stoked to be the Wicked Witch and fly through the iconic Jurassic Park gate and cruise around with some dinosaurs, but instead: nothing. It nearly broke my poor, little, 33-year-old heart. /endrant * - This doesn't include Chima or Ninjago, which can't be disappointing since I'm already loath to play them and have yet to do so.
  10. So here's a question: does anyone have any further information about the supposed Mr. Freeze '66 polybag? The '66 Batcave set has been announced, and it's got an early VIP release in a little over a week, but still nothing concrete about this figure. Just trying to plan ahead. Surely someone here knows something...?
  11. Not if it's digital Seriously though, every figure he mentioned was real, except for Talia. And she seems incredibly likely at this point.
  12. Way off base. It's a medieval space-ninja. That's what I heard.
  13. I surely hope you are incorrect about Hobby's legs. In every picture I can find, they certainly appear dual-molded, so I'm going to assume they're reusing Deathstroke's legs. Ha, I panicked when I saw your comment and went scouring the internet for pics. And since we're talking about Hobgoblin AND Deathstroke, I had to double-check what thread I'm posting on. Sheesh, old age. I was also hoping Green Goblin's new legs would work with Battle Armor Lex, you know, give him some sweet purple boots, but even if the colors work out, that underwear printing kinda brings it down for me. I'm going to figure out my perfect BA Lex one of these days. I can feel it.
  14. I assume you meant Superman I was happy (and grateful!) to read this, so I went to Bricks and Pieces to check around for various dual-molded legs. Maybe someone else has noticed and can confirm, but it looks like Hobgoblin's legs are available as well. And Katana's, I think, though they look darker red on B&P than the photos portray. It's just a render, though, so I'm not sure. Plus there are a few more that I don't recognize. (As I'm typing this, a thought occurs: does Hobby use Deathstroke's legs? Is that why they're on there? Bah, I'll figure it out after I post!) Same here....except I don't have the original. So, basically, just sadness. Follow your heart, my friend. Bring money. Ah, well, there you go! Yeah, Armored Batman is sweet. And just to throw another opinion at you, I also have a few Batmobiles (who doesn't?), but I gotta say, the new BvS Batmobile is pretty neat-o. Me like. And I've never had a LEGO forklift before, but I'm not sure if I really needed one. Yay for thoughts.
  15. Yeah, definitely belongs in the speculation thread, but I would snap that set up in a heartbeat!
  16. Wow. I was going to give a one-word answer: Portal. But really, your answer is completely on-point, in my opinion. I own all of these, and I agree with pretty much everything you've said, with one difference: I wasn't a Portal fan before I got LEGO Dimensions, but I sure as heck am now! I even went back to my Xbox 360 and bought the old Portal game. I love GLaDOS! So delightfully wicked. And her song at the end of the main story (Dimensions) was hilarious and sad and amazing. Yeah, I picked this one up because it only cost a little bit more than buying the old Harley Quinn minifig, one I've always wanted. Playing as her in-game is just an added bonus!
  17. You're a terrible, terrible man. No, but seriously, welcome! There's a customization thread around here somewhere, which sounds like it would be right up your alley. I have no idea where, since I can't bring myself to do that. I bent a few 5x6 leaf pieces one time and felt bad enough about that
  18. Is there a better quality picture of the box art than the one that's on BrickSet? It seems like people are talking about details I'm just not even seeing. @Legocity2713 - I definitely agree about the green legs
  19. I was all worried about the yellow vs bright light orange (or whatever it's called), I didn't even suspect the green might be different. I am crestfallen, my friends. CRESTFALLEN.
  20. No. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOO! For realsies? UGGGG, that was THE biggest selling-point for me. EDIT: is there some weird coding thing that changes U-g-g into "stupid dead sheep shoes"???? Every time I type that, it gets posted as "stupid dead sheep shoes". WHAT THE HECK??? TEST: stupid dead sheep shoes (U-g-g) stupid dead sheep shoes (u-g-g) stupid dead sheep shoes (U-G-G) Uggg (U-g-g-g) UGGG (U-G-G-G)
  21. I disagree! I think Scarlet Spider has all the detail we could hope for, assuming his logo is correct, and that's the only angle we haven't really seen for him. He's got web-shooters printed on his wrists and his belt printed too. And Kraven, wow, what a jumble of animal printing! He looks so fabulous! I can't tell how much detail Scorpion has either, but he also doesn't require much. As for Spider-Woman, well.....yeah. Pretty darn plain. But again, they all look fantastically representative of their comic counterparts. Totally on-point. But that's okay, we can disagree I do think the ramshackle, half-destroyed look for the bridge was taken a touch too far, and the same-old-same-old Spidey is boring, but neither of those are a big deal for me. On a separate note, I just got my Iron Fist figure from eBay. Now I can't wait for Doc Ock's new set so I can steal his legs!!
  22. Hm. They mention the chrome C-3PO, but mention it is referenced on the box. All I see is a Battle Droid. No C-3PO whatsoever. Is it just me?
  23. Do I have it backward? Cuz that's not how it shakes out on the exchange rates. Maybe that's why the Brits hate LEGO's pricing structure so much. 99 GBP equals around 140 USD. EDIT: I knew there was an example I was thinking about with pricing more in line with exchange rates: The Brick Bank! 119.99 GBP, 169.99 USD.
