  1. Ah. I guess I get it now. I'm late to the game, though. They've always been $4 for as long as I've been buying them. Less than that sounds heavenly, but I'm okay at $4. But yeah, increases would be hard to bear..
  2. Looks pretty good though. Could make for a nice variant. I had not seen this, so thanks for sharing, even though it is disappointingly OT...for now...
  3. I don't think this discussion is going anywhere. You guys obviously disagree on this topic. For the record, I lean towards agreeing with gamejutzu. They get stale fast. IMO of course, so let the argument continue
  4. That is indeed the one I was referring to. I really want that fig, but haven't been willing to spend that much, yet. As for my GameStop trip, it didn't go as expected. They did not, in fact, have any Silver Centurion polybags, but they DID have two Iron Patriot polybags, which they gave me after some schmoozing I don't know if I care for that one at all, honestly, so if anyone wants one and is interested in some sort of trade, PM me. RE: Iron Sub vs Black Panther Jet, my answer is the Avenjet. I won't be getting either of the other sets. EDIT: Just saw you already have the Avenjet. so I'll change my answer to "undecided".
  5. Wow, this is the only thing in the history of ever that has tempted me to sign up for Twitter. Oh well, it's a fleeting impulse, it'll pass. Much better on the updated posts, BTW. Can't wait to see this flick.
  6. Considering the author of this post, I knew this had to be sarcastic or a joke ( ), but for the life of me, I don't get it either. $4 is a bargain compared to some of the figures out there! I figured I'd just ignore it, but since other people mentioned it as well, yeah, sign me up: I don't get it. This sounds suspiciously like logical thinking. Take it easy, there, fella!
  7. I'm not generally the kind of person who literally laughs out loud when they type "LOL", but for the record, this got a really loud LOL, so thanks. But having only joined earlier today, I doubt they've finished that particular novel yet. Welcome, just_one! As for this series, I love a lot of them, like some of them, and am indifferent to some, but there aren't any that I actively dislike. Except Syndrome. His face bugs the heck outta me. And bleep the naysayers, Genie looks awesome. (JK, I <3 you all.) Yes. Utterly disappointing. I wonder if you were there before me or after. Duluth TRU has nothing either, FYI. I don't think I've seen them anywhere locally except the LEGO Store, and, very, very briefly, at the MoG TRU. Got Silver Centurion Iron Man Iron Patriot from GameStop today, though
  8. Your post made me think to call my local Game Stop again. Two of them actually. One of them is now holding a fig for me to pick up this evening! So, thanks! As for yours, you could always arrange a trade. Say, if anyone had the old Hulk MINIFIG polybag, that might be a worthwhile trade. (HINT HINT, WINK WINK, PM if interested!) Or give it away! Sponsor a build contest, or some sort of something.
  9. If your post has the words "not trying to spoil anything, BUT", then yeah, you should rethink that.
  10. That's exactly what I'm hoping for. Fingers crossed... STEVE HOLT!
  11. Well, what SHOULD I worry about? Hmm, I have an important meeting next week. Maybe that?
  12. Agreed, Zola would definitely have upped my interest in this set. As it is, I haven't bought it and probably won't, though I have seen it up-close-and-personal-like. I don't care too much for the sub build, though I do like black pieces, but more importantly, I don't care about any of the figures, since they are all variants I don't care about of figures I already have. The Avenjet, on the other hand, I snapped that up the second I saw it! Mmmmmmmm, minifigs......
  13. I was reading the main Star Wars comic, but lost interest after 10 or so, and neither Obi-Wan nor Leia ever hooked me. The Vader series is the only one I'm current on and still loving. (Murder-bots!) As for the C-3PO comic, is that the issue that supposedly explains his red arm? I can't see that being important enough to warrant it's own one-shot, but who knows? I am slightly curious, but only in a looky-loo (looky-Lou?) sort of way. I loved the heck out of Secret Wars! I've been reading Jonathan Hickman's Marvel work since he started on Fantastic Four, so it really was the culmination of years of stories. The delays and padding bugged me a bit, but all-in-all: loved it. (MURDER-BOTS!)
  14. For sure! I love Aphra and the murder-bots! Good stuff!
  15. BURN THEM! Ha, I kid, but seriously, BURN THEEEEEE-*ahem* sorry, sorry. There isn't anything New 52-related I can think of off-hand that's better than the original, design-wise. IMO, of course, as always. No matter, though, since we're getting Damien instead. I'll definitely be picking up the Ra's set. I imagine Damian will be a rehash of the previous version, since Ra's, Talia, and apparently Batman will all be new figures. As for the build, I assume (and sincerely hope) that it will be a Lazarus pit-based build. (Really, the only way I can picture it not having a Lazarus pit is if it's based on the Nolan movie trilogy, and I don't see that happening.) Oh, how I pray there will be no vehicles! Unlikely, maybe, but...fingers crossed!
  16. Lol @ "in ever". Sorry, haven't read those. Never been into TF comics, but perhaps I'll give 'em a shot. But if you want an engaging Marvel comic, the Vision limited series that's currently running is pretty darn amazing.
  17. You could do what I did: upgrade to an Xbox One. Yes I know, super-unhelpful, but it honestly was a worthwhile upgrade, for me, and LD was part of the impetus.
  18. Huh. Before seeing these, my thoughts were, "sure, they might look funky sitting down, but it would be nice to be able to make them walk." But after seeing them, I think my opinion has flipped: they look funky when walking, but they look great when sitting down! Doesn't matter either way though, I suppose!
  19. Holy cow, was he trapped inside a hollow chocolate bunny? Seriously though, what the H...?
  20. Got this yesterday. Built it today. Tons of tan and black bricks and tiles, which is cool, and the maze is quite fun to play. They are minor issues with the ball sticking, due to the mold indention on the ball as well as the gaps between the tiles. Nothing too horrible, but in can be frustrating, especially considering the game in and of itself can be quite frustrating at times. Similarly, the movement of the technic pieces isn't 100% smooth, but still not a big deal. I wish they had included extra plates to build another maze level without having to take apart the first one, but what can you do? All in all, if I wanted a perfect maze, I'd buy a regular one. This one is made of LEGO though, and for what it is, it is, yes, amazing. I think half of my reasoning for buying this was to support all of the wonderful stuff that Jason Alleman does, but after building and playing with it, it really is super-cool in it's own right. Plus, I got Mr. Freeze I hope the Eurobricks-maze-level-competition becomes a real thing, because I'm looking forward to making something. I wonder if I can incorporate some jumps or other crazy Marble Madness-style fun.... Looking forward to seeing what people come up with, competition or not!
  21. ^ Exactly this. I was planning to buy the 'Cave, but changing financial situation, yada-yada, I will now just be using a gift card to snag Mr. Freeze. The Batcave will still be around when life settles down. You know, hopefully
  22. A friend of mine complained about the CMF 15 Ballerina because the he said the torso looked wrong with the flesh printing on the white torso. I said it wasn't that big of a deal, and couldn't see why he would be that bothered by it. But yeah, Ursula definitely looks....off. Maybe it's the higher contrast between black and lavender than yellow and white, but that stands out to me quite a bit. Still not too big a deal, not going to make-or-break my purchase (still undecided on Ursula), but I didn't expect it to stand out to me that much. I'm unsurprised that everything looks nicer in HD. Seemed par for the course. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are all still too tall, especially since their molded heads make them taller already. IMO, they shouldn't be the tallest of the bunch, unless they are "supposed" to be representing real people in costumes, but that isn't the case here. I'm conflicted on these (still) since I know I'll never get them exactly as I want them, but I would probably like to have them. Pan, Hook, Genie, Aladdin, Alice, Cheshire, Maleficent - still awesome! ( Except, yes, I also noticed that Aladdin's chest printing seemed a bit too light compared to his arms...) The lack of accessories is disappointing. Someone mentioned that they don't seem necessary, and I can agree with that, but the lack of pieces is still, you know, disappointing. Love the new skirts, though.
  23. Not me! Come summertime, I'm all about Marvel! Okay, I'm down for the Ra's set, but that's all. My main DC-excitement is for getting the '66 Batcave and Mr. Freeze next week! But, as ever, to each their own. Welcome, Master of Fear!
  24. Loving the ridiculous bat-suits, but man oh man, I want that Green Arrow! I couldn't be bothered to hang onto the one from Darkseid Invasion, but I would jump on this one. I guess I'm biased towards Super-Friends era designs for some characters. *cough Firestorm please cough cough irrelevant, i know cough* I didn't realize it until I read it, but this comment goes a long way toward explaining by mixed emotions on this piece. On the one hand, cool, a new piece, but on the other hand....yeah, Bat-Fanny-Pack. I'm also not really a fan of things that raise the standard minifig height. Backpacks, cool shoulder pads, etc, often look cool, but that small height differential bugs me in the back of my mind. In this case, I don't know if I care to make that trade. Though, being honest, I totally want one, but I definitely DON'T want it to become a standard, which, now that I say it, seems extremely unlikely. Screw it, bring on the fanny-pack! I whole-heartedly support your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Don't get me wrong, I adore Hamill as the Joker (coincidentally, B:TAS is actually on playing on my TV screen RIGHT NOW), but I'm curious to see a different take. I don't think Galifianakis would have been my first choice, since he is often relatively dry-humored, but I like him well enough and I'm certainly interested to see what he does with it. "From the studio that brought you Every Batman Movie Ever*....comes....Another Batman Movie! But this time...IT'S LEGO." Yeah, that was amusing. SMH @ Batman Forever
