1. Well that's just...amazing! Thanks for the info! Can't wait to see which other Spider-variants (and to an extent, which villains) are in this set, as that's gonna determine whether I get the set or just BrickLink Spidey 2099. I'm assuming it'll be the classic Rick Leonardi costume and not the disappointing (IMO) new design. That classic costume is one of my favorites, and I always liked Miguel too, so I'm supremely stoked for this! Yeah, no dual-molded legs are needed since he's completely blue from the waist down already. But if they do it right, he definitely has to have arm printing, right? And seeing as how this will mostly likely be our only shot at the character, I hope they do it right. I'm also hoping they see fit to include a cape-style web-foil for him. Huh, now that I'm thinking about arm printing, I wonder if we'll ever see a regular ol' Spider-Man with arm printing. He does have that stripe of red webbing down each arm. How has this never happened? Would he look too out of place or over-complicated? Any thoughts? Hi! Welcome!
2. Arg, exactly this! It feels like Christmas again. Except I misplaced my calendar and I'm not certain exactly how soon it is.
3. Hm, the same thing happened while I was searching for donuts in Springfield. Utterly futile. I sympathize but have no suggestions Hey! Hi! Welcome! HOLY EXPLETIVE. I am seriously excited for Adventure Time, if this is indeed true. I already know it's impossible to get a minifig for every character I want, but man oh man: EXCITEMENT! I'm hoping we get a full-on Level Pack for this, and not just a new (A)dventure world. Speaking of which... Am I wrong to also expect (demand??) Level Packs for the franchises, especially licensed ones, that only have adventure worlds so far, like Wizard of Oz and Scooby-Doo? I don't care two bits for Jurassic World, but I'm sure someone wants that, right? I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to make demands, so...I just gotta figure out who to email them to. Having watched the last 7 seasons in the past 2 months (largely spurred by my enjoyment of the Lego Dimensions shenanigans), I am absolutely on-board for this. She surely was one of the more intriguing characters I encountered before I knew anything about anything. I'll add it to my list of demands. Cheers, all!
4. I just wrote a really long post about Civil War and the Iron Spider suit and...well....none of it mattered. Do we know how many figs are going to be in the Ghost Rider set? Spidey, GR, and a villain of some sort, but does anyone suppose there's room in the price range for a 4th figure? Because that would be the perfect place to include Daredevil!
5. I am expecting him. But only because I'm pathologically addicted to disappointment. Ben Reilly gets no love. It's hard to believe we got Iron Spider before Reilly. Who exactly was clamoring for that figure? Maybe he showed up in one of the animated series I'm unfamiliar with. Well, seeing as how my only two hopes for this set were Reilly-Spidey and Spidey-2099, any chance you (or someone) can rule 2099 out? Or maybe confirm? Yeah, I'm grasping, sorry.
6. Hey J2G (or a mod?), is it possible to update the first page with the list of everyone confirmed so far? I'm not totally sure where we're at now, and the first page still has that full list which was already debunked. Anyone wanna provide a recap?
7. The two have become visually conflated over the years. To really see the differences, you'd have to look at the original Johnny Blaze version, before they updated him, and the mid-90s Danny Ketch, before they toned him down.
8. Ah, Frank Gorshin Riddler! I hope this set is gigantic, with tons of figures! Just give us everyone and be done with it! Not like we'll ever see '66 Batman LEGO every again... My fondest wish is to be able to see Cesar Romero's minifig mustache beneath the facepaint.
9. Holy cow, I read too many comics to list, but I just found this thread. Cool! Tons of Marvel, DC, and Image, as well as some other stuff here and there. My computer lock screen is the cover art for Sandman: Overture #1. JH Williams III rocks the house. Grant Morrison rocks my brain. So do Soule and Hickman. Can we hurry up and finish Secret Wars already, though? The momentum on that was absolutely destroyed about halfway through. I hate the New 52/ DCYou for the most part, though I still catch up every now and then. My fondness for DC's heroes will live forever, despite whatever nonsense is happening in today's pages. All-Star Superman is one of my favorite books of all time, and I'm looking forward to All-Star Wonder Woman, despite the controversy. I'm a Morrison fan, but we'll see how he handles these particular themes on this particular outing once the context of the whole work is available. What was the last thing I read and liked? Hmm. Oh! The new Vision series from Marvel is surprisingly wonderful. Thoughtful and beautifully illustrated. It was nothing like I expected, though the cover gives a better indication than you might imagine. Saga rocks the casbah! I <3 BKV+Fiona Staples. And Squirrel Girl! Ryan North makes me laugh fit to split. His Adventure Time issues were great, too! And Dinosaur Comics! COMIIIIIIIIIIICS!! Phew, okay, I'm okay now.
10. Ooohhh, a bountiful day, in terms of news! Thanks again, J2G! As someone else mentioned, I don't know if I'd rather have Croc as a minifig or a big fig. Although as I'm typing this, I think I decided I'd rather the minifig, but that might just be me. The prices on these are crazy! I can't say that I'm on board for any of these strictly based on the names. It's going to depend on what other neat figs get thrown in. I know certain members of EB really want that missing Teen Titans minifig, and for their sake, I hope they get it. Those Teen Titans were never my favorite version, though. I always liked the evolved Young Justice crew. I can't see it happening anywhere anytime soon, but I'd rather an Impulse/Kid Flash fig. Scarecrow, though! This will be his first release since I got back into the hobby, so that's cool! I love the name, and I hope it's a set I can get excited about! "Combine of Doom" indeed! Ha! 100th post?? Woo!
11. You and me and plenty of others. Unfortunately, we will never get it. Ever. Ever. Ever. Unless they first decide to release the Fantastic Four. Not that I know anything, but yeah. Marvel Studios and Fox Studios, they aren't known for playing well these days, and with all of their issues surrounding the FF, those are some of the least likely Marvel characters to show up. Well, if you look again, he capitalized 'ALL' and 'MAY', so I'm assuming a mid-range set with multiple alternate dimension versions of Aunt May, including one based on Marissa Tomei, from the new film series. The villain will be May's dimension-spanning sense of loss. Includes the ghost of Uncle Ben. A perfect compliment for the Web Warriors set! But for real, two of those sets are definitely of interest to me. And if they went the Superior Spider-Man route with the Doc Ock set, I might have to be interested in ALL of them. I'm all over that Ghost Rider set, regardless of what else is in it. Hopefully something/someone cool! The Web Warriors set sounds amazingly full of potential! I'd be happy enough with a 10-piece bridge build and nothing but minifigs. I can dream! If it were just a general Spider-Man bridge set, I could definitely see a focus on the remaining Sinister Six figures we don't have, but with the Web Warriors moniker, I instead expect them to focus more on the Spider-Variants than they do the villains. My top picks are Spidey 2099 (classic, not the recent redesign ) and any Ben Reilly version (though Superior looks awfully close to Ben's Spidey in many respects). I also love Spider-Gwen's costume, so that would be neat. As for the villain, as much as I don't care much for him, I would expect Morlun, because of the Web Warriors tie-in, and yet....as someone else noted before, in the Spidey mythos, bridges often equal goblins. So many questions! Thanks, J2G!
12. I hope they use the head of the Shakespeare fig somehow as the bust which opens for the big red button! Wasn't it a bust of Shakespeare in the show?? Am I remembering that wrong?
13. I got Cragger. (I think that's his name. The crocodile-dude) His upgraded sub can destroy silver LEGO underwater. Very useful for the couple of spots where you need that ability.
14. Is this some sort of insider info hint that there are two more figures of which you are aware, that have previously been discussed in this thread but are not currently on our running list? Cuz that's kind of how that reads.....which would be neat
15. For Christmas, I got 'x105Black' (the member above and friend of mine) the Back to the Future Dimesions Level Pack. For the New Year, I got him a surprise new bumper sticker. Happy New Year, J! Did you notice it yet?? Loooooove yooouuuuuu!
16. THIS IS A TEST. When I first joined, I remember seeing a thread specifically for test posting, but I can't seem to find it. My apologies, but this was the best place I could find. Haven't posted any pictures yet, just joined Flickr, wanna give it a whirl so I don't screw it up elsewhere. <a data-flickr-embed="true" href=" title="20160101_223924"> TEST. Couldn't find the test thread, sorry. First try with posting pics, trying to figure it out.
17. Had the Target employee check the back room, she brought out a fresh new box...of series 14. :/
18. Fair enough. Thanks!
19. Hmm, that's not working for me. Where are you getting that?
20. Hey guys, does anyone know the bricklink name/ID for the new 1x1 pyramid pieces? I'm having trouble locating them...
21. I can tell you that it isn't nearly as good as Series 256
22. Most excellent! Thanks! Will one or two of these princesses be using the new dress piece? Or are they ones better served using other means?
23. If we are indeed getting one small set, similar to Ant-man, I would hate for a minifig slot to be used on a 'civilian'. If R. McA is playing Clea, that would be sweet. But my bet is on the good Doctor, obviously, with Baron Mordo and then the third slot being Madds' character. As for Madds, if that quote isn't misdirection and he really isn't playing Dormammu in some way, my only other guess would be Nightmare. Could be cool, but the name is a bit on-the-nose. In a movie about a character called Doctor Strange. Ha, maybe not. In the end, I just really want a Dormammu minifig. EDIT: I was considering that they could reuse any theoretical new flame-hair piece for Ghost Rider, or vice versa. Then I started wondering if TLG would release two such similar-looking but distinct characters so closely together in the same line. Does anyone suppose that the rumored GR might affect Dormammu's chances, given their similarity? Really, it's only the one similarity, but it's a big one. Meh, I think I'm putting the cart waaaay before the horse. But thoughts!
24. But...but...but...why? Seriously, I do not understand that line of thinking. Unless you're concerned about it's value on the secondary market, why would you care that it remains exclusive?
