  1. Overall, I LOVE the Giant-Man build. That said, I have also considered reworking the arms, but have yet to do so. I'd love to see pictures of what you came up with.
  2. Agreed! I went for Nya and Cragger. I can't imagine a more annoying voice than Cragger's, but he was useful. You know it!!
  3. Deal. I'll throw my S16 at the screen, you throw the money.
  4. He has not, because the thought of having to play through the whole darn level for the umpteenth time just to get to Ralph fills Rob with a deep sense of "uggghhhhhhh". But what the hell, I'm not busy, let's go save Ralph RIGHT NOW! I shall report back shortly! Because I know we're all on the edge of our seats regarding this issue. EDIT: "Ralph Wiggum Rescued? That's unpossible!" Yay. It was kinda fun jumping into the TARDIS and bypassing most of the level, so not too bad. I forget how awesome it is when the Who-music takes over. Good times. Time to kill zombies in COD!
  5. I would very much like to play your version of the game over the originals. Or better yet, have both options available. Alas and alack. Still fun if you get it for a good price. I was saying LEGO Dimensions is the only LEGO game I have where I DON'T already have tons and tons of studs. It's so easy to do in the other games, I forgot that it isn't the case with this one. I don't have a lot in this one, at least not enough to upgrade everything with reckless abandon.
  6. Do you have a link to these rumors? I know, grains of salt and all of that, I'm just curious to read them for myself. Thanks for the info, though!
  7. Exactly. With the other games, there are so many multipliers, and I tend to look for those ASAP so I don't have to think about gathering studs. I've yet to do any "stud-farming" for this game. It's just too boring, for me.
  8. See, that's a damn shame, because they know what they're doing. If you wanna rip people off, take it to eBay.
  9. RE: Iron Man and Loki I'll start by saying that I own neither version of either figure and that the previously linked article is my only point of reference for any of this. Iron Man's printing is nearly identical, with the color variations being incredibly subtle. As for the helmet, there are some slight differences, but they don't seem to be significant enough to classify it as a new variation as far as I can tell from the pictures. I have a few Iron M(e)n, and their helmets all raise to varying degrees before coming detached. Personally, for this figure, I don't see the need for distinction, unless there is some greater difference in the helmet that I'm not seeing, or have already forgotten reading about. The inclusion/exclusion of the thruster pieces as a criterion is pretty asinine since they are standard, readily-available pieces. As long as potential sellers are clear on whether they are included or not, I don't see an issue. For Loki, the difference in color of the printed golden bits on his body seems for more pronounced than on Iron Man. I feel that the difference is enough, in these photos, to justify the existence of the 'a' variation-designator. However, colors often vary between batches of the exact same product, and I do not know how representative these examples are for each individual figure. And really, unless you have a huge population sample, who could say? Furthermore, unless I were holding both figures in hard, I'm hard-pressed to say whether I could tell which was which unless I were already thoroughly familiar with each one on its own, and that's assuming the printing is consistent for each production run. If this were a figure I really, really wanted (it isn't, though I may still get it for such a low price), I doubt I'd be disappointed in either version. But for crazy people (completionists ), I could see how this might be awkward. TL;DR - Eh, whatever. I don't really care.
  10. You do indeed get studs, so that's nice, I suppose. There are three score-based thresholds at which studs are awarded. Honestly, stud-gathering is so much slower in this game compared to every other LEGO game that I actually forgot I don't already have 50 billion studs.
  11. Agreed. While it is fun to play the individual games, I have free emulators on my computer already, and a buttload more than Dimensions offers. That said, it has introduced me to a few games that I've never played and never WOULD have played if not for this. Was it worth the $16 it cost? Eh. Probably. Because that arcade cabinet build, with the printed tiles, is pretty darn cool. I get 20% of at Best Buy due to the Gamers Club discount, but if I had to pay the regular sale price of $20, or, god forbid, the original full price of $30, I would definitely be singing a different tune. And I surely agree with your assessment of the artificiality of the level progression. Very, very odd. And, aside from the lack of LEGO-fication of the games, they are also based on arcade version rather than NES version, so they are all ever-so-slightly different than I remember. It was so disappointing how poorly I did at Paperboy on my first attempt! AND ANOTHER THING! This was the first LEGO game I have owned and played, but I've since gone back and bought some of the older ones. One of the most disappointing missing features in LD is the ability to skip to different chapters of each level once you beat it. If you want to get to the arcade cabinet in the "Painting the Town Black" level, you have to play through the whole damn thing again just to get to there. Personally, I find that it gets boring pretty quickly, and it often keeps me from replaying the game. Bummer. Unrelated, Stay-Puft looks AMAZING, and hearing Superman's theme when he flies warms my heart
  12. As far as I can tell, no one knows nuthin' 'bout 'nuthin. I think lots of us were expecting it to be a promo when the Brick Bank came out, but it never happened, and we haven't heard or seen anything since the originally leaked pic. Perhaps later in the year when the "Fun in the Park" set is released, but that's just a wild guess on my part. If anyone knows any different, please, feel free to update us all!
  13. Oh my god, I was about to post something along the same lines. That was.....different. If I hadn't stopped the video early, the theme song may have induced suicide. Yowza.
  14. US. Strange that you didn't get an email. I did, and in time to add it to my cart, but I already bought a couple from TRU, so I didn't bother. EDIT: Okay, Canada too, I guess? I have a couple extras if anyone is interested in making a trade or something. PM me if you're interested.
  15. Ha, let us know how they taste, I guess?
  16. OHHHHH MY GOD! MARBLE MADNESS! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! *ahem* Sorry. That's cool. I liked that game. A lot. I liked Spy Hunter and Paperboy, too. Some of the others sound familiar, but I don't know for sure. There was one old game that I played where you fly around in a spaceship from left to right while enemies stream in at you from the edge of the screen. The mechanic was very similar to some of the gameplay in LEGO Avengers (and maybe some of the Dimensions stuff and others? I forget..), but for the life of me I can't remember the name. It looked similar to Defender, but I don't think that was it. Anyone have any idea? EDIT: Gradius. I think it was Gradius. The name came to me right after I posted, of course. Anyway, thanks for the list! Looking forward to my Best Buy shipment this week. I got this, Stay-Puft, Superman, and Aquaman! Here we come, Ralph Wiggum!
  17. I bought the set strictly for the figures. I hated the craft itself until I got bored one day and decided to build it. That went a long way toward changing my opinion. The build was fun and I loved the angles they were able to create in the nose-area. All in all, I liked it a lot more than I did before building it. That said, it didn't stay built very long. I didn't like it THAT much. But I'm pretty picky in which crafts I decide to keep built. For one, those aren't my main area of interest, and I generally one buy ones that are iconic (to me), like the Millenium Falcon, Benny's Spaceship, and the GOTG Milano. The only other ships I own are the Javelin and the Avenjet. I bought both for the figures and only liked the crafts at all after building them. But they both still got deconstructed and thrown in with the parts. Actually, I DO want a Quinjet eventually, I just haven't been entirely sold on any one the sets that have one, as I'm not a huge fan of MCU-based figures. I probably would leave that one built So I guess, aesthetically-speaking, I prefer the Quinjet, but the Javelin build was still quite sturdy and fun to build and handle, as well as probably being the most swooshable one. I just don't swoosh much. I didn't mind Darkseid's weird hovercraft too much. I thought it looked interested with the bigfig on it. The problem is: I hate bigfigs! And Darkseid's New52 design! I want a Darkseid minifig with a cloth skirt, dagnabit!
  18. Nerdgasm! Loved the new CA:CW trailer! Ant-Man flying through the air! Spider-Man! I really dig his costume, too. It's a nice blend of the traditional costume and small changes, like the blue 'v's on the arms and boots, to help it to fit in with the Avengers-universe aesthetic. I'd say the design is quite nice, but I wonder how a minifigure of it would differ from the standard Spidey figure. "Underoos" indeed. Hilarious. If the Russo brothers weren't handling this, I might worry about this film being overstuffed, but I've enjoyed almost all of their other work, so I have confidence in this one too. Bring it on! To each his own, I suppose, but I seriously doubt that's his homemade costume. Notice the electronic whirring when his eyes squint. Sounds like too much tech in the mask for teenage Parker to cobble together. I could always be wrong, but I imagine that's the suit Tony helps him build.
  19. Amazo confirmed??? Lol, I kid, I kid.
  20. I dunno... ...maybe this? Uh oh. I surely hope the dome still fits the molded head, or all my plans will be for naught!
  21. I don't worry about "collections", so I'm not sure how to address that question, but yeah, like amazingbricks said, the printing looks to be updated. I'm just gonna grab the new one when he comes out and put the old molded head on there, since I prefer that one. Voila! My perfect Buzz Lightyear figure.
  22. Well, I sort of worked it out. He refunded the price for the head (71 cents), but I talked him into refunding the shipping price too, since that piece was the reason I chose his store. As for your generous offer, MysteriousSir (ha, that was fun to type), I already placed another order this morning. D'oh! But thank you! I figured it's better to order this early, since the new figure may possibly increase demand for the old head. As of now, it can be had for around a buck or so.
  23. Don't worry, I bought the only one available for Xbox One! Portal 2, I think. Haven't gotten around to it, but you can bet your Decepticons I will!
  24. Ug, every time you make a post, it just reminds me that I don't have my Ghost Rider yet. C'moooon, time, let's go!
