  1. Well now, THAT is interesting. Thanks for the heads up! Well now, THAT is interesting. Thanks for the heads up!
  2. Personally, I wish the Corn Suit were a lighter shade of yellow, something paler than the standard minifig skin. It doesn't look right as it is. But that's just my opinion. I like the dark green for the legs, though. Contrast is good.
  3. And I hope there IS one! The first wave was a delight! But my opinion might change once we come up on Ninjago. By that time, I may be feeling the same way, craving some good, old-fashioned CMF goodness. Yay for opinions. EDIT: I didn't notice there was another page of discussion before I posted. Oops! For myself, I definitely enjoy the regular CMF line, but I also enjoy some of the licensed/themed series. And for CMFs, I only get the ones that interest me. I'm not a completist. But so far, out of ALL the CMF series that have been released, the closest I've come to getting a complete set is with the Disney and Batman CMFs. I like those themes, therefore I end up liking a larger percentage of the series. I guess we're all just here for different reasons.
  4. Is it different? I haven't seen the leaked fig you refer to, and I haven't played that level you referred to in quite a while. What are the differences you speak of? I'm guessing the Oz versions didn't have the Faun legs? Other than that, I have no idea. *MODS: I tried to delete the embedded bit, but couldn't*
  5. These are pretty much my exact thoughts! This happens more often than you might imagine. Release dates vary between regions. Sometimes we get stuff first, sometimes they do. For the U.S., the new Marvel and Star Wars (and probably other) sets are scheduled to be released in March.
  6. I know, right? I'm just glad to see that Baby Groot won't only be in the largest set, a.k.a. the Milano rehash.
  7. Oh my, that Bat-Merch gun looks hilarious!
  8. That would imply that you know what's in the sets. But you don't, correct? Just making assumptions based on "reported" pricing info?
  9. Oh wow, I completely forgot about that and hadn't even considered it as a possibility. It doesn't really resemble the Kryptonian Nightwing either, as far as I can see/remember, but they'd have much more room for interpretation with that one, so good point! Time will tell!
  10. Hey, thanks for sharing @npgcole! I sincerely hope that isn't what they meant by "Nightwing" though. Either way, definitely looking forward to this pack!
  11. Oh. Man. I really want that as a minifigure. Bring on ALL the colors for that mold. And the Bat-belt in white looks really good too.
  12. Of the two, I'd go with Banjo. Amazingbricks often says things as if they're facts, but they aren't. They're often speculation, whether baseless or not. Drax looks good. If it is indeed still grey and not green, as it seems, I'll be disappointed, but not too much, since I won't need to get it. But Drax is SUPPOSED to be green, dammit.
  13. Wait, so...amazingbricks ruined the game for everyone?
  14. The Mission: Impossible pack was more entertaining than I expected. My familiarity with the franchise ends at the 2nd film, so the focus on the first film still hits those "ooh, 'member that" buttons. I don't particularly care about the figures and builds, though new fleshie LEGO pieces are useful, especially the dual-molded arms. The main reason I bought the pack was for Ethan Hunt's abilities, but I wasn't disappointed by the content either. If you get it for a good sale price, I'd say it's a fair deal. As for Sonic, I love everything about it, the figure, the builds, and the content. I admittedly have more pre-existing fondness for Sonic, and that surely plays into it, but I still think the Sonic levels and adventure world are genuinely better. Everything is so bright and fun and fast. Sonic zips around quite well. The figure isn't much good for anything but Sonic, but if you're interested in that, he looks damn good. I bought this on day one, sales be damned. Sonic is now one of a handful of characters that I almost always keep on the toypad while playing. Hope that helps. Merry Christmas!
  15. Speaking only of US LEGO brick and mortar stores, no, they will not. March is what I'm hearing. Whaaa? Cool. Hm. I took that to mean one regular torso and one stretchy-armed torso. Curious.
  16. Hm. Possible. Let me rephrase what I said. The LEGO Store won't have anything but the Mighty Micros. If Hulk/Red Hulk is releasing on the 1st, then maybe it's a store exclusive, and perhaps available online. But I don't know anything about that. (EDIT: I'm just talking US release dates.) There isn't a single official release date one the first page of this thread. Strange?
  17. There are no new Marvel sets being released on Jan 1st other than the Mighty Micros. No word on the actual release dates of these sets as far as I know, but I do know they wont be for sale on the 1st.
  18. Well, thank goodness you pointed that out to us. Yeah, that's what he's talking about. The reviewer didn't know the name of any of the characters, so he guessed that Calculator was Hello Man. And so he shall be know, in certain circles, forevermore.
  19. Meh, the whole set was on sale from Amazon a week or so ago for around 60 dollars. I'd hold off. Unless you just can't wait
  20. Hmmmmmmmmmm. VERY interesting. I don't suppose you'd like to tell us which one? If you even know, that is
  21. Yeah, I'm curious why you would say that, J2G. Do you have any reason for thinking that? Hasn't it always been a 3-year-plan?
  22. I don't think it was as bad as people are making it out to be. Ignorance of the subject matter was a large part of the style of that particular review, which was stated at the beginning. If you're not a Batman fan, and get the CMFs strictly for parts and archetypal figures, this might be your perspective going into it. We are clearly not the target audience, although I actually found some of the blatant ignorance kind of funny. Hello Man, indeed. Anyway, who cares?
  23. Not to mention that not all LEGO fans are train fans.
  24. The bird did not specify, but he and I are both American, so that's all I can speak for. The bird said everything intended to release on the first, which should include CMFs. It was not. Again, this isn't certain yet. And really, I suppose it applies to more than TLBM, but hey, here we are. (Incidentally, if you're interested in the upcoming free Gingerbread Man offer, there's some new info about that in the seasonal thread.)
  25. A smallish avian creature told me that LEGO stores may or may not be releasing the rest of the new sets on December 26th, rather than January 1st. Dunno if it's true, but that's what the bird said.
