Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Coca-Cola replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thats because you are young. You look maybe 14-15 and I remember at that age I'd have opinions and be stubborn as hell with them (still am I guess), nobody could tell me otherwise, same with you now. Toy Story while being a huge success and an iconic Pixar property, hasn't been utilised in over 5 years. It isn't as much in the public eye and until the new movie comes out it most likely won't be. It would be reasonable to assume that the characters may be left alone to give other characters a chance to shine, considering they also have another opportunity to have sets with the new movie. However it also would be reasonable to assume they'd leave them in. It's unreasonable to say it's likely because it really isn't. It's 50/50, and saying they will appear with certain accessories and then saying other characters (who also may or may not appear) will be included in second waves and so on, really belongs in the speculation/ wishlist thread. Because as of now most characters have that 50/50 shot.- 4,155 replies

Buzz and Woody have been done before so they have a chance of appearing but thats also why they may not. Not to mention the new movie scheduled they have more of an opportunity in future as opposed to other characters and titles. Popularity of the characters wouldn't play a huge part as it could be argued the emotions from Inside Out are currently more popular considering they are fresh and we haven't gotten any huge Toy Story content since 2010. It could go either way and would make complete sense no matter what they choose. I'm sure that is what he meant by "huge" as in bigger than the actual figure. Assuming it fits a Buzz inside it would be too "huge" for the plastic CMF bag. Would be like packaging a Vampire with a coffin, it's just too "huge" to fit in the bag.- 4,155 replies

If I remember correctly, though this is unconfirmed, it was rumoured Doomsday evolves quite rapidly during the fight scene rather than over the span of multiple films. So by the end of the film Doomsday should be the rocky and more menacing beast he is in the comics and games. For example it was reported Wonder Woman either cut off or rip off an arm of Doomsday's, but he just grew one back only it was more boney and had his signature shards almost resembling a claw. I'm not sure if there is truth to that rumour but if it turns out to be true a big-fig of Doomsday wouldn't be something to pass on. I think the chances more sets come out are slim but indeed possible and again if we were given more sets this would also give us an early chance to get an Aquaman and any other rumoured but unconfirmed characters (Flash and Cyborg etc.) and as someone said Knightmare Batman as a variant maybe? It seems strange to have a Batman set without an actual threat. Like Iron Man vs Ultron drones or Captain America vs Chitauri is one thing. But Batman and a Batmobile against henchmen with a forklift seems real silly.

Captain America is doing it next year. Star Wars has done it with their movies. Batman even was late to get a set for The Dark Knight Rises. While it isn't the same thing with neither Batman or Star Wars it is another example of getting film sets after the film. It is totally possible but as you said rare. Although stranger things have happened and this is sure to be a huge movie so if we stay somewhat optimistic...

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Coca-Cola replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Actually dude it's a simple question, the original question was wether or not Goblin had a new face in the prelims, because i had lost my set of photos. A yes or a no would be appreciated. I fully understand it may change in the final set but considering I asked; the prelims are out, and wether or not he has a new face there can be easily checked and told. And yes, thank you to those who have told us information, I do appreciate it. I may be coming off as arrogant or greedy for information, but when the answer to my question is already out there and has a solid answer... -

Marvel and DC are simply two different companies who own different superheroes, Spider-man and Avengers being Marvel, Batman and Justice League being DC etc. It's like having Call Of Duty and Battlefield, wherein it's the same basic thing just presented in different ways. Hey guys, I got new information on Civil War sets, -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Coca-Cola replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah I know, I'm not hopeful either. And everything J2G has said or has been talked about in general is on the first page, and I dare say all of it is true. I think the matter only rose when the trailer came out, people saw the airport and made the connection that J2G said airport and minds kind of blew and yeah haha I only disagree because Hawkeye I believe hasn't been done justice in minifigure form yet, whereas War machine has. I would prefer the more classic comic based costume as well but this is an opportunity to have the character represented in a new hopefully better way, so if there is the smallest chance to see either, i'm hoping for Hawks. Although, each to their own I suppose. But again, will the Green Goblin have a new face? -

Dude, Hawkeye looks nothing like he did in AoU. Hawkeye is actually purple for once, which is his signature color and he doesn't have that jacket thing going on. I would like to see both, but if I was told to choose I'd pick Hawkeye. Simply put, he has purple now. Besides the War Machine we got in 2013 works for me. Sure he could be recolored and made to suit his more modern adaption but it isn't as big an issue because you can tell what character he is. Also, just to clarify because I've lost my images of the racers.. Goblin had a new face, right? -

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

The movie sets from my understanding don't have huge spoilers at all, and still come out in January which is a few months before the movie releases (which totally ruins the whole idea of not showing the sets because of spoilers anyway). They could be shown just as easily as the AA sets and it is strange we haven't seen either by this point. Although January is literally a month and a week away. So hang in there bruh, not long now. -

You killed it man, like wow. This is beautiful. I can safely say it's one of my favourite MOC's i've seen, if not my favourite. Well done! -
While I agree we shouldn't rule this theme out, I can see why people would think it is "dead". I mean the first wave had all the main characters and all the memorable monsters/ bad guys. It had the iconic Mystery Machine while also having many iconic Scooby-Doo locations. And I know of late the cartoons have had those planes and boats and whatever else with the same pattern as the Mystery Machine and so the other vehicles in the first wave were technically not anything made up just for the sake of sets. Though, looking in the future, I think its a matter of how much more vague can this line go without crossing into TMNT territory where each set becomes somewhat dull and unimportant. Like TMNT the first wave started off amazing, although all the main parts were covered. They wouldn't give us the same location more than once without there being a significant gap in the release of the sets while also not giving us another Mystery Machine or another less than magnificent vehicle. And even if the second set line-up for Scooby-Doo ends up alright, it wouldn't rival the first and again in the long run, it just wouldn't hold up. EDIT: I just realised everything i said has already been said, which kinda sucks after typing that out but hey, great minds think alike i guess.

While I haven't experienced "rudeness" with mods, I have seen snark and in all honesty I really enjoy it. Nobody is hurt, the issue the mod is addressing is often times cleared up, and everybody goes on their merry way respectfully. But say there is someone in a forum who is acting immature or maybe being annoying (for lack of a better word and lets be honest it has probably been myself once or twice) and then the mod addresses them with a little sass (although i don't think I've directly spoken to a mod ), i don't know but it puts a smile on my face. Like "please stop whatever it is your doing, change the direction of the topic blah blah aaaand POP!" Like the snap of the comment just gets me every time. In all seriousness though I do believe maybe instead of a change of attitude, have more than one moderator in a thread because sometimes things are looked over and not picked up when they, at least in my opinion, should be. And also, if a mod makes a ruling and people have an obvious problem with it maybe another one can chime in and give an alternative that is not completely blowing off the original mods comments but presenting them in a light that seems more fair. Kind of like good cop, bad cop. Just a suggestion though, one that is for the most part totally unnecessary, although reading this thread it seems some may take comfort in that? I don't know. But no complaints here, I think the moderators are doing a fine job.

Favorite/Least favorite/most wanted licensed minifigure?
Coca-Cola replied to Zoshi's topic in LEGO Licensed
Carnage from Marvel Superheroes was an incredible minifigure, it had a simple design but also was extremely detailed which is hard to pull off in a minifig (as most times it's one or the other). I also have an attachment to my original Boba Fett. Man-bat is definitely not a bad figure by any means, it had nice printing and some real nice parts but it's the only minifigure I own that I just don't want to put on display and I don't know why. So while I have nothing against Man-bat, he seems to be my least favourite. I don't really have a most wanted minifigure that isn't already created. I would love a new Mister Freeze (as the 2006 one is outdated and the 2013 one makes him look too angry for someone who claims to be "dead to emotions"). I also would like to see characters like Cheetah, Hawkgirl, Raven etc. because it seems weird to have their counterparts without them.. and also X-Men preferably in their 90's/ Jim Lee attires (not only just Nightcrawler, Jean Grey etc. but evil characters as well, Sabretooth, Lady Deathstrike, Juggernaut etc.)- 25 replies

I couldn't agree more with this statement. With the larger characters like Sully, Genie, Baymax or Baloo etc. like, they need that special treatment because a regular minifigure IMO just won't do it. Like they would make cool figures sure.. but the display would drive me crazy.- 4,155 replies

May 5th. Portugal. Google is your friend. And yeah it is by all means possible, but also unlikely. I'm happy to wait until WS clarifies though, and I hope I'm wrong. -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Coca-Cola replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
ahh okay. Not to offend Winter Soldier at all, but I've noticed he does have a tendency to just guess some things.. wouldn't be surprised if this were another guess considering the movie premieres on the 5th of May (May 4th being his original date) and it seems way too specific for someone to know already. Plus if that was the new news he was trying to get at why is it the one thing he got wrong and had to edit in that entire post. Again not to disrespect WS in anyway. I just am not buying it at all and think anyone who is should tread with caution. -

There isn't even any new information there is there? If you mean the numbers of the sets they were written underneath of the prelims of the blank civil war boxes (but i saw the photos when the other prelims were leaking so surely that isn't 'new'?) and the age groups (I'm assuming because there is no way he could know yet) are just some of his guesses.... Although the guesses seem to be about right considering the box sizes. The rest seems to be just stuff thats been rumoured for a while? Am I missing something? -

hmm.. do you think Kim Possible be classified as modern? I mean it's been close to a decade since it canceled (2006-7 I think?). I think a Dr. Drakken and/ or a Shego would be real neat as a minifigure!- 4,155 replies

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I can see "why not". While a few of the live-action movies have turned out okay they don't even scratch how iconic, magical, and popular the original animations are. Alice may have made over a billion dollars, but the film itself has very mixed reviews and is regarded one of the Burton movies where it shows he is losing his touch. Excluding maybe Into The Woods (which has a handful of characters that have been done in animation anyway) the live-action appearances of the characters just aren't as iconic or even child friendly to an extent (I say "to an extent" because while it is child friendly it does have a much darker, grittier approach than the original) as their animated counterparts. I mean sure it is possible and maybe even preferred (at least with Mad Hatter and Maleficent in my opinion) I wouldn't bet any making it into the series at all...- 4,155 replies
