  1. Thinking about it though, would we want a high-torque-low-speed or low-torque-high-speed PF S?
  2. What I would give for TLG to make a PF S motor or a flagship backhoe
  3. Thank you so much for being a part of this. Me getting told off by Jim for acting as Jim telling someone else acting as Jim to not act as Jim is just pure Jimception at its finest. Regarding the sets, I don’t see the new valve people are talking about. I see the gear but the rest is hidden behind the watermark so it’s almost impossible to see. I can see some blue but I don’t know whether that’s pneumatic tubes connected to the supposed valve. The first time I saw 42080 I thought the gear was to rotate the cabin and boom (from the angle I thought it kinda looked like they were slightly out of line with the front chassis). Although thinking about it I couldn’t think of a reason for them being able to.
  4. *also acting as Jim* Please do not act as Jim
  5. Make the conveyor much longer and of a thinner material, and it’ll begin to sag down in the middle.
  6. Give it some time, I'm sure you'll be able to soon
  7. God damn would I be thrilled with a Technic F40
  8. Ah I see. I was under the impression that the Porsche was already on the roads a few months prior and they did the camo just as a sort of joke or nod, since when photos of prototypes get leaked they always have the camo.
  9. It’d need to be a well known car. While I’d hate for it to be a Bugatti because the price would be insane, it very well could be. The Ford GT also comes into mind. Also, I don’t know why it couldn’t be a McLaren. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a P1 - there’s no rule saying that it has to be a brand new vehicle. Why 401xx? Surely it would become 421xx, then in five years 422xx, then 423xx, 424xx all the way for a few decades down until we reach 42999 and need a new prefix.
  10. You know, I honestly reckon it exactly is that.
  11. That makes a hell of a lot more sense than mine. I was hesitant to say reach stacker for 42082 though because 42079 would be so similar.
  12. I dunno whether this is breaks the rules because, while it technically is discussion, it’s somewhat speculation. 42079: something that can use the Arocs gear rack. It wouldn’t make sense to scrap that piece in the B model. Maybe a mobile crane or off-road tow truck? 42080: Wheeled excavator perhaps? It’s the only thing that comes to mind that can use the two large pneumatic cylinders. That being said, there’s 8 wheels that would need to be used for a B model of that piece count. 42081: I have absolutely no idea. Could the designers have teamed with Volvo for two concept models instead of just one or not? 42082: Maybe a tractor? I want to say it should be something that uses the BWE ring as a turntable, but the B model of 42055 didn’t.
  13. I agree with @agrof. It’s unfair to say we placed our expectations too high when the way Lego themselves hyped it up gave good reason to.
  14. Oh god no, the price gouging on the Porsche was already too much ):
  15. Ah I see. Although, I’m willing to bet we’re gonna see the CLASS hubs.
  16. Do you have any pics? I’m away from my Lego.
  17. Gear reduction only matters if the wheels are driven, which we shouldn’t expect since it isn’t RC, and it’s very unlikely that they’d put drive on a vehicle with HoG steering. I’m not sure how planetary hubs necessarily improve the pivot point.
  18. We’d see the gap (where the curved ends meet, shown by a shadow) between the 3L beams and the pieces you suggested if that were the case. I’m looking at it now and there’s no such gap.
  19. I don’t really see a reason to. Regular portal hubs will work just fine
  20. Omg thank you, finally. That picture is exactly what I’m trying to say.
  21. But it also looks goofy because the nose is a stud too long. In the actual vehicle there’s about one wheel’s diameter length of front bumper, whereas in the set there’s more.
  22. Maybe it does look too small. Either way it’s 5L high. I feel like we might be overestimating the size of 42082. Judging by the side picture in the top right, its wheelbase and height are pretty much the same as 42030. Like it’s big but I don’t think it’s some enormous behemoth.
