  1. I had a suspicion a while back that Saber’s an Aussie (I am too) so it would make sense if he’s never seen 53ft containers. I honestly don’t ever recall seeing anything over 40ft in Australia.
  2. Yeah that’s what I thought; unlike what @Saberwing40k said, 53ft containers for road travel are most certainly a thing.
  3. Do you mean for road travel?
  4. @Void_S Can you sacrifice the row of studs between the inner tyre and the 5x7 so it’s +0.5 studs on either side instead of +1.5?
  5. I wish the pullbacks were put into the racers theme instead. I’d love some small Technic sets like the bobcat and the forklift again
  6. Oh my lord, I’m so sorry hahah. I misread 42076 as 42078 and assumed @Maaboo35 was talking about how when you extend the large LA on the cranes the elbows don’t stay at the same angle relative to the ground like in real trailers. I admit, now that I realise you’re talking about the hovercraft that is a bit unwieldy, unless they indeed are connected below deck. I have no idea how I made that mistake. I must have seen MLA and assumed we were talking about the trailer, and glossed over everything else.
  7. I honestly think that’s a non-issue. Unless you’re like 5 it won’t be hard to get the hang of it.
  8. I know, right? This set could totally use a torque tube for the rear axle.
  9. @shimon That replica looks spot on ;) One question, how much does the drawbar flex under the weight of the trailer? From the released photos the one-stud thickness seems a bit thin
  10. Looking awesome! One question though - have you experimented with different designs for the nose? Looking at some pictures of the real thing it seems like yours’ nose is a bit stubby/blunt.
  11. Not at all, I bought the Arocs, which to be honest did have some inconsistencies, however they weren’t to the extent that they made it look goofy like the Mack. On top of that, the Arocs had additional benefits that outweighed any potential goofiness, such as pneumatics ,solid axle suspension and a motorised compressor. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to wish for proper proportions in a licensed set.
  12. Something's been bugging me about the Mack truck and I finally figured it out: 1. The nose is longer than on the real thing - they should have shortened it by one or two studs. 2. The nose doesn't curve down at the nose tip like on the real thing (at the top of the grill, not the bottom). It does curve, but from the wrong end, which ends up making the nose look a bit square. 3. The rear axles are about two studs too close to the rear of the truck. If these three problems were fixed, I'd definitely buy this.
  13. Isn’t there a thinner version of the wheels that the 49.5 tyres use?
  14. Not sure how to feel about the Mack Anthem’s tyres not being doubled up at the back.
  15. That’s exactly what I’m thinking, if that part count is anything to go by
  16. Hold up, I thought you were responding to @AOW’s comment about the orange 3L axle in 42074 and that you misread it as 42071. Never mind!
  17. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to believe that it isn’t impossible that I don’t not possess them
  18. Efferman I love you. I've been waiting for someone to build a scheuerle-style Technic trailer for years and you deliver <3 Is there any chance you'd do reverse building instructions for this?
