Inside Kaliphlin Day 13.5 -- Digging for History
Erynlasgalen replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very creative build, I really like what they are uncovering so far. My favorite part though is the poor little dirt shifter, everyone else looks like that are having a great time without him -
Inside Kaliphlin Day 4- Qar-Akhen Marshes
Erynlasgalen replied to Erynlasgalen's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions on this, glad you liked it! For the people who asked, I just uploaded a new picture of a higher angle so the whole MOC can be seen. Headpalm! I always wondered how people had such a nice edge, didn't even think it was that easy. Thanks for the tip, used it on my last MOC and it did disappear! Good memory! That was actually my inspiration for this one, I wanted to do something bigger and more detailed than that build. -
Excellent festival, the details you put into this are great for the size it is. I too love the gold roof, and the musicians and those dragon windows work perfectly here. For the people who asked, the red flowers came in the new Friends sets, I think they come in red and maybe light orange right now.

Inside Kaliphlin: Day 11 One Year Party
Erynlasgalen replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
What a great celebration, it is good to see everyone get together for it. I love the dome you used in the back of this, and the cake is spot on. I wonder how the Kaliphlin bakers were able to bake a cake that big? I reckon a bit of magic was in order by the looks of things -
Inside Kaliphlin: Day 13 - The Fighting Pit of Mophet
Erynlasgalen replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Congrats on being blogged! It is well deserved While I don't necessarily like the bear fighting, this is a great MOC. The textures on the wall, to the half round style, and the colors all work perfectly together. -
Inside Kaliphlin Day 9 -- The Triumphal Arch of Petraea
Erynlasgalen replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
I love the way this turned out- it is just grand enough for us Kaliphlins! The brickwork over the mosaics are my favorite part, I love the clean lines over the bright colors. You did a great job on researching the history of the arch as well, the lore behind it makes it even better. -
Inside Kaliphlin Day 8- Okatowan Gardens
Erynlasgalen replied to Mike S's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lovely vignette, every little detail you put in is great. I was just looking at one of those boulders the other day trying to figure out how someone could use them, and up this pops- they look wonderful here and fit in with the Asian theme perfectly. -
Welcome back to Day 10 of our journey around Kaliphlin, we have seen many great wonders and people so far but I know one thing everyone is missing. You have absolutely nothing to bring back to show anyone in your home countries of the wonders of Kaliphlin. We cannot possibly send you home without something, so our next stop will be at the Amrakect Market, where you can fill your bags with exotic souvenirs. A word of caution from your very helpful guides- while most people of the Siccus Badlands are very friendly and welcoming to strangers there are always a few bad seeds in the bunch. Please be watchful of your purse strings as you explore the market and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Most of all- make sure you are back to your camel before the sun dips behind the wall, we don’t want to leave anyone behind when our journey continues.

Let's see what have we done this week...Visited the elves, saw the jungle natives, went bird watching, got our boots swampy, surfed the dunes, and watched an epic race.... who else is tired after all this touring? If only we had a place to relax and cool off before we kept going.... yup too bad we don't have a place like that - lets just keep going full speed ahead! Just kidding mind you, good thing you are in the capable hands of the Kaliphlin Tourist Agency, we know just the place to head for the day. Welcome to the Arkbri Falls! Perfect place to relax for the day before we continue onwards to see the wonders of Kaliphlin. Remember to stay hydrated, don't stay in the sun too long, and above all make sure you check your boots before you put them back on for scorpions... nasty little buggers they are.

Inside Kaliphlin Day 6 - The Great Dragonboat Race
Erynlasgalen replied to robuko's topic in Guilds of Historica
LOL, the dragon boat races are great! The panda team is awfully cute, but I think I like the dragon boat more- great use of pieces on that one. I hope there are enough medics at the finish line, I forsee a lot of burned feet at the end of the races. -
Inside Kaliphlin: Day 5 - The Dune Sea
Erynlasgalen replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
I really like this build, the sand overtaking the house is just brilliant. I also really like the way you did the sand dunes to the back, the clean lines and color palate are perfect. -
Inside Kaliphlin Day 4- Qar-Akhen Marshes
Erynlasgalen replied to Erynlasgalen's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks everyone! We at the Agency wanted to give everyone a taste of the Kaliphlin they wouldn't normally see otherwise since we are so much more than just desert! Never fear though! After we are done, you will be finding sand for weeks in your boots, clothes, hair, camping supplies, beer, ect... -
Welcome, welcome... The Kaliphlin Tourist Agency is happy to have you along for our journey around the lands. You can throw away your coats now as we head down to the southern coast to explore the mysterious and oftentimes dangerous* Qar-Akhen Marshes. We hope you are enjoying your journey so far, so just sit back and relax and listen to the soothing melody of the Golden Arrow Frogs for a moment. Just remember to not touch, eat, lick or otherwise come in contact with them. Please come back tomorrow when we will present a new location for your enjoyment! *The Kaliphlin Tourist Agency is not liable for any mishaps, injuries or deaths sustained while touring. Tourists are encouraged to take the necessary precautions to avoid such mishaps and heed all warnings given by your guides.

Inside Kaliphlin: Day 3 The Lone Mountain
Erynlasgalen replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
The painter must have gotten it wrong, its not lava its an avalanche! Great scene, love the footsteps and photography on this one. I didn't know there were so many types of birds up on the mountain. Now that the Professor knows about it, he will have to make a special trip up there to study them. -
West Inner Mpya Stedor in a Celebration Time!
Erynlasgalen replied to Maxim I's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice- like Ska said- it was a great game of Where's Waldo as I was hunting out everyone's characters. Now you have to make a MOC of the day after, lots of Kaliphlin beer going around at this party!- 43 replies

The atmosphere on this is great and I love the palm trees on this, makes me wish I had some sword leaf pieces now! -
Inside Kaliphlin: Day 1 The Withered Woods
Erynlasgalen replied to Kayne's topic in Guilds of Historica
Love the way you portrayed the Wither Woods, the colors have a great weathered decayed look. The base is absolutely perfect too. -
Love the colors you used, the city has a very post apocalyptic steampunk quality I like. Perfect representation of what kind of ruler Victor had become!

Challenge VI - Battle for Historica
Erynlasgalen replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
The Mitgardian building is excellent- I liked that you used the two different greys for the roof, it breaks up the pattern ever so slightly and gives the building a really great weathered look. My favorite though is the scene with the elves, I like how you framed everything out and have a lot of repeating elements. Gives it a really clean look. Also like the fact that I recognize someone in the Kaliphlin build! Thanks for including me! -
Not much I can add that hasn't already been said on this one! Breathtaking MOCs, You really went above and beyond on all the builds. Really love the rockwork in the first build, and the mosaics on the floor are gorgeous.

For not having a lot of time or bricks available I think you managed well. The court scene is really well done. I think the story more than makes up for it!

You really captured a great cluttered feel on the first build, and I love the antlers on the wall. What pieces did you use for that? The only small critique I can see if that I would have raised that back wall up one more brick so it wasn't the same height as the bookcase and maybe tiled the top. It looks a little unfinished with the studs. My favorite part though is the gypsy caravan in the last scene!

I really love the colors you used for the Kaliphlin build. Great idea to use a darker background since it really makes the colors pop more and have more vibrancy. Reminds me of small town in Mexico somewhere. Great work!
