  1. This contest was difficult to vote for. I had a tough time deciding between the light house, the flower shop, Barbossa's pizza place and the auto carrier. I also thought the rest of you did an excellent job. I give two *y* up to everyone for their MOC's. Model On!!
  2. Very cool Vig. I would agree with the others about your fireplace. I *wub* the effects you did. Is it possible you might tell us the secret how you got the effects like that? Please tell, please tell. Model On!!
  3. I would have to say that my theory is the plane will not be able to take off. With the conveyer moving in the opposite direction, the conveyor will keep the wheels moving, but the plane will not go anywhere. The plane would stay in place. How many entrys will you wait for before the answer?
  4. Thank you again Legomilk for this information. I can't wait to see what the Holiday House will look like. I definitly am excited to see the others as well. I am just *wub* the 2008 year as well. Model On!!
  5. Very Cool MOC, SirNadroj. This will definitly go well with the new truck set coming out. I definitly liked your use of the bananas. A definite *y* *y* up. Model On!!
  6. Thanks Legomilk for the info. I definitly can't wait to see what these all will look like. I *wub* the sound of more airplanes. I hope they are going to be at least 8-wide as the passenger plane was. I think even 10-wide or 12-wide would be a nice cargo plane size. I am glad to see 2008 will be another great year for us "Townies". Model On!!
  7. Very, very cool MOC Henning. I definitly give you *y* *y*. I would *wub* to see TLC come out with WWII planes, but in the same scale as the Sopwith & Red Baron planes were. I do not understand why TLC stopped after the Baron. I know TLC would have a definite market for such models. Lets hope they get the hint. Model On!!
  8. I am 30 years of age and I still build with Lego toys.
  9. Great review Lasse D. A definite two *y* up. I bought this set for the swing-wing concept. I was very curious what TLC's design was like. I have been working on modifying it just a little to look more like the F-14. So far I have completed the back section, but I need to finish the cockpit. Overall this is a great set. I *wub* TLC's swing-wing concept. Model On!!
  10. Very cool find Hinckley. I liked the design of the Monorail train better. I have been playing around with the idea of modifying my monorail to a 6-wide unit, and this is a *sweet* design. Model On!!
  11. Thank you *yoda* for this news. I am very, very happy that City has been a success for TLC. This means that they will keep this theme going which is great news since I am a "Townie". I wonder if Trains is also considered a Classic. I hope TLC will keep the 9V system going as well. I think they have much more they could do with the Train line. ARE YOU GETTING THIS LEGO!! I HOPE SO.
  12. Very, very well done *yoda* . Your review was excellent. I have been thinking about buying this set for the treads and the technic disks. I plan to use the treads for a bulldozer or 2 & the disks for Locomotive fans. Thanks again for the review. Model On!!
  13. I am glad you started this thread Ogel111. I have noticed the price hikes at TRU too. I don't understand why TRU has jacked up their prices either. I worked for TRU from '99 to '01. I never noticed this practice then. So I really have no idea when they started to raise the prices. I noticed the change about a year ago. I try not to buy Lego sets from them either since this happened, but I like to check them out to see if they have received any special sets. I get :-X every time I walk through the aisle and see the prices. I have been to Wal-Mart lately and I am happy to see that their Lego aisle is getting better. They are finally starting to carry more of the newer sets. Target on the other hand is starting to look like Wal-Marts old Lego selection(NOT TOO MUCH). I have a theory on TRU's price hike. I heard rumor that the company wasn't doing so well. Maybe the price hike is to compensate the lack of sales. Well anyway, we all know how big business works. We are left guessing, and they will never tell the reason.
  14. Very, very, very coooool SirNadroj. I would agree with imperialshadows, a definite dead on likeness. You do very awesome work. I give you *y* *y* up. You should try to contact Harrison Ford and see if he would ever buy this from you. Your work could one day hang in an art museum. Model On!!
  15. Really cool MOC doug7172. I give you two *y* up for the hoverboard. Did you get the idea from Back to the Future II? Your MOC looks like it to me. I like the car as well. Model On!!
  16. Thank you sam89 for the report. I definitly cannot wait for these sets to come out. I definitly *wub* them all. They all look really cool. Way to go LEGO.
  17. I definitly would have to say that I do not have a favorite. I *wub* them all. I give two *y* up for each one. I really thought they were very creative. I even *wub* your mosaic Sir Nadroj. You did a wonderful job. Model On!!
  18. Thank you Legomilk for this information. I definitly liked them all too. I would *wub* to see these in the US. Hopefully they aren't just a European item. Does anyone know which fast food restaurant sold these?
  19. These custom pieces look soooooo cool. I have been thinking about designing and creating a "Farm" scene for my town and these parts will be a perfect addition. I also think these would be perfect for Stock Cars for you railroad fans out there. I *wub* the look. I wonder if TLC might get the hint from this website? Thanks for the info Hinckley39. I can't wait to read your review. I hope they are as you expected.
  20. I definitly *wub* the Nautica sets. I would have liked to see TLC take the new Seaport and create another similar sub-theme with it. I think TLC could have even added a Cruise Ship w/ dock to the mix. Plus I think two other sets I would *wub* to see added would be a Tanker w/ dock & Bulk Ship w/ dock. The list is endless. I really hope TLC will keep expanding on the "Seaport" concept.
  21. Welcome to EB, AMK152. I know you will enjoy this site alot. What type of building are you into? I am a "Townie" as I like to call myself. Have a good one. Model On!!

    4 City MOCS

I think your MOC's are very cool Zeki. I definitly give you two *y* up for your models. I noticed the wheels on the Hauler. I am using the same wheels for my trucks. I found these wheels more realistic than the wheels TLC is placing on the Garbage Truck & Cement Truck. I have modified these models with the larger wheels. They look so much better with the larger wheels. Model On!!
  23. Very, very *sweet* pics of the Town Hall. I *wub* this MOC too. I definitly give Jamie two *y* up for this model. Model On!!
  24. I have bought this set and I would like to add that it is a very *sweet* set. I really *wub* the color scheme. I have modified this set though. My modification was redesigning the cab in order to seat two minifigs and extending the back to fit two axles instead of the one. The overall set was a good base to modify from.
  25. I have recently bought this set and I would like to add that it is a very cool set. I particularly *wub* the new cement mixing part. I really think the auger concept inside is very, very *sweet* . I hope TLC will expand on this concept.
