  1. A very, very cool MOC Brickminer!! You have done a wonderful job creating this. I definitly give you two *y* up for this MOC. Again, VERY VERY COOL.
  2. I was thinking on the same lines as Bonaparte. I figured the track and accessories were available in Hong Kong too. Especially since the speed regulators are manufactured there. Maybe the 9V track is too. Thanks for the pics Paul, they are pretty crazy. But being a 9V train fan myself, if I found a good deal, I would probably do the same. Model On.
  3. So far, I haven't had any sets missing pieces. So I haven't talked with a customer service rep yet. But I have heard that TLC is very polite and helpful. I am glad to hear the great experiences you have had with them. This is comforting to know that if I run into any problems they will be there to help. Thank you for the information Mr. Hobbles. Model On.
  4. I have not seen this before. From the looks of the set and the description talking about the set, I would think this is a copy. I have heard rumors about manufacturing practices in China. There are companies there that copy other products. Sounds like they are copying more than shower heads from Waterpik, now Lego toys. Thank you for the information about these sets. Definitly something to keep in mind and look out for. Thank you again. Model On.
  5. As I have mentioned before, your MOC of the Hudson is grrrrrreat! I just wanted to add that naming it "The Tequila Sunrise" and pulling the Santa Fe cars is perfect, since Santa Fe is spanish. Very unique name :-D . Very cool model, definitly two *y* up. Model On.
  6. Thank you Steff & Sam for the pics. I definitly *wub* the tank. I am sooooo happy to see that TLC used the technic treads for the set instead of the rubber. I think the technic treads look so much more realistic. The tank is a set I will definitly look into buying. As for the other, maybe on sale. Model On.
  7. If you think about this set, this set will definitly be a collectors item. This is the only set that you will find that particular plane and color scheme for the plane. In a way, I would definitly think about this set too. I think this set looks pretty *sweet* . Definitly a set totally different than the regular one in production.
  8. I would definitly recommend the 9V system. Nothing compares to this type of system at all. I agree with JINZONINGEN 73, SAVE 9V. Model On.
  9. Very, Very creative Athos. Your MOC is :-P . The City Park idea is great. This would definitly look great in my town. I give you two *y* up. Model On.
  10. Thank you Holodoc & UniqueBuilder for the answer. The reason I asked was trash cans in the US look the same as yours. I have not seen a hand cart on our trucks either. Thanks again.
  11. You did a great job on the review SW4J. I give you two *y* up. I would have to say that I am only interested in the figures too. I really like the skeleton figures. They remind me of the Warhammer figure sets. I thought the price was just a bit much. Definitly priced at a little more than 10 cents a brick. This could be one of the sets I would look into when it goes on clearance. Thanks again for the review, Model On.
  12. Yet another great review *yoda* . This is a definite buy on my list for 2007 *wub* . I think this color scheme looks pretty good too. I have two questions about this set: Do all the garbage trucks in Europe have a hand cart? Are they located on the roof, or was that Lego's idea? Model On.
  13. Another great review *yoda* . I would have to say if you keep reviewing these "City" sets I too will go broke :-) . I really liked the details that TLC added to this station. I will definitly have to think about this set. The one thing that puzzled me was the size of the main store. I think it would have been cool if TLC made the store the same length as the car wash. This way there could be merchandise in there too. Oh, maybe something I will add if I buy this. Thank you again for the review, Model On.
  14. You have a very good idea Athos. I definitly think this would make a great theme. Since TLC has done about four themes based on history, this would add to the list. I give you two *y* up for your idea. Have you thought about sending the idea to TLC? What did they say if you have?
  15. Great review again *yoda* . Even though I am a "Town/Train" collector, as a Lego fan I would agree that the alien figure does not seem like Lego. I also like how TLC took the CS logo and incorporated it in this theme. This definitly brings you back to the "old days" of Lego. Again great review.
  16. I really like your list of sets for "City" snefroe1. I definitly would agree with you. I would like to add that in order for a town to grow, we would definitly need construction vehicles. Have you noticed that TLC has not released any new tractors. The new construction sets are awesome, but they need buldozers & front-end loaders. The new dump truck and cement mixer is a start. I hope TLC will expand from here.
  17. Thank you so very much *yoda* for that review. Your reviews are excellent *y* . They really show the great details that TLC has created. I do have 2 questions though. 1) Does the containers have doors like the old containers did? 2) Since the ship floats like set 4030, does the new ship come with weights too? I am definitly thinking about this set from your review. Your reviews make it so hard to resist certain sets, especially this one. Thanks again for the info.
  18. I definitly like the railing *y* . I thought it finished the side of the boiler. Your MOC looks just like a steam loco with it. *sweet*
  19. This will be my first competition. I definitly would like to try *sweet* . Model On.
  20. Youy review was excellent *yoda* . I definitly like the skeleton figures and horses. I would agree that I thought the black looked weird too. I also thought the Kings figures were really *sweet* too. After this review, I may think about these small sets. Thanks again *yoda* , Model On.
  21. I would like to say welcome Tom & Verena from across the Atlantic. Happy to meet you both. :-)
  22. I definitly agree with IS on his comment about the parents. I was happy to see that the guns in the new SW sets looked like the movies. When I first saw them the only thought that came to my mind was "Why didn't TLC make the guns like these back in 1999 when they released the SW sets." As for all the others, they are no different than the toys we all grew up with. Maybe the only difference is our parents took the responsibility and actually educated us. Now we need to take responsibility and educate our children.
  23. Thank you for the information on these new releases through S@H. Even though some are not available in the US, I can still set the browser to Denmark. This enables me to see the sets. Thank you all again for the info. *y*
  24. I would like to send a thank you to Legomilk for the release date, piece quantity and price information on this set. These details are very important. Thank you again.
  25. Very well done *yoda* . Your review was excellent. I wasn't really sure about this station, but with your review and the photos, I am definitly thinking about buying this one. I really liked the windows and the columns. I thought it was really cool to see TLC make columns in yellow. This is definitly a very neat set. Thank you for the review *yoda* . Model on!
