  1. I definitly agree that this is a very cool set. This set is available through S@H in the US and is listed for $29.99. I was surprised that the price in Euros was the same as mentioned by Holodoc. I think this would be a nice parts set.
  2. Very nicely done GGG. Your MOC is very, very *sweet* . I definitly give you two *y* up. Your use of the locking hinged parts was fantastic. I have wondered what to use them for myself. Good idea!! I would like to say welcome to EB as well. Model On.
  3. I haven't bought this set yet either. I am very, very :-) to see TLC bring back the garage doors. I definitly *wub* the hydraulic boom mechanism too. I am certainly considering this set for the nice pieces.
  4. I definitly give this person two *y* up. I am definitly inspired from this photo. I *wub* how the buildings and sidewalks look so realistic. I thought of the comment from Wout. If this person is from NY, I wonder if he is the lawyer I heard about who quit his practice and went into model making professionally? If he is, his models are great.
  5. I am surprised that the list didn't leave the Pyramids in. I would have definitly left them in. The fact that after 3000 years, they are still standing. I find this the most fascinating along with the Colosseum. Especially since only a handful of buildings in the US have been around for probably 300 years. The US culture is a tear-down the old, rebuild new concept.
  6. I would agree that Hasbro would never have another competitor participate with them. But I would *wub* to see TLC create a similar theme. I thought the Exo-Force theme was going to be similar in the aspect of the "Robo Tech" concept. A piloted jet turns into a Mech robot. But I was disappointed when they didn't. I thought this would have been really, really *sweet* . I would have been more interested in Exo-Force had TLC created such sets.
  7. Thank you 007 for the pic. I *wub* the look of the minifig. I definitly cannot wait to see the new sets in 2008. I hope the whip will be posable too. That would be an awesome feature. TLC really did a good job at making the minifig look like IJ. I can't wait to see what other minifigs TLC will release with the IJ facial hair look. A definite new minifig look is on the horizon.
  8. Thank you very much Agrotic. I am definitly :'-) over these pics. I can't wait until this set is available in the US. I just *wub* how TLC created this set using the dark grey bricks. They certainly make the model look realistic.
  9. I would like to comment on your MOC. Your firetruck is very cool. I definitly give you two *y* up. I have one idea for you. Have you thought of using the next largest wheels? The wheels from set 4939 and the old soccer buses? I have been modeling my trucks with these types of tires. They seem to look much more realistic compared to the minifig. I just wanted to send you this idea, Model On.
  10. This is definitly awesome news :'-) . I can't wait to see the sets in Jan 2008. I really hope TLC will create the sets as well as they have been with SW. Even though JT was similar, there were some areas TLC had to tread lightly. Making sure they did not infringe on IJ's scenes. I am so *sweet* about the news.
  11. I was happy to hear that the judge ruled that Paris go back to jail. My thought is if she did the crime, then she has to do the time. People in the spotlight need to learn that your money WILL not set you free for a crime. If this happened to a middle or low class citizen, they would have to serve time. So she deserves the same treatment. YOUR MONEY WILL NOT SAVE YOU PARIS!!!
  12. I also would like to say welcome to EB Sinner. Your MOC's were very impressive and deserve two *y* up. I hope you enjoy it here and Model On.
  13. Very cool MOC Brickster. I definitly thought the waiter outfit looked pretty good too. I give you two *y* up. Model On.
  14. I would also like to say welcome Bob. Glad to see another "Townie" has joined us. I am also a fan of the new 6 wide "City" sets. They are certainly more realistic looking than the old 4 wide. Are you and the Mrs's into the "Trains" as well? If you get into the "Trains", definitly look for the 9V system sets. They are so much better *sweet* . Have fun and Model On.
  15. I would like to say welcome Artemis. I was down in Oceanside and So Cal last week. I think you call it So Cal, but I do not remember. Checked out the new Las Vegas set-up at Legoland, I *wub* it. VERY COOL!! if you get a chance this summer check it out. You will not be disappointed.
  16. I really like your idea Loco de Lego. I am also a James Bond fan and think a JB theme would be very awesome. I can see TLC taking some ideas from the Aqua Raiders and creating the under water scene from Thunderball. Plus I would *wub* to see a Lego model of the Vulcan. This theme would be very *sweet* . Maybe if enough of us AFOL's mention this, Lego will create this type of theme in the future. I definitly give you two *y* up for this idea.
  17. I forgot to mention in my last reply my purchase from May 19th. I know this late, but I wanted to add that I was finally able to find and purchase the garbage truck and green dump truck at my local Lego store. I *wub* these sets, they are awesome. I wanted to mention that Legoland California did not have these. I was quite surprised. I was glad I found them before my trip.
  18. Very cool layout you have going. I especially thought the AT-ST you added to the crossroad was :-D . Was this added as a joke for the SW fans? Looking very good, Model On.
  19. Thank you very much Cabby for that review. I have had my eye on this set since I saw the photos in January. I *wub* the pic of the mixing container and spinning mechanism. I definitly want this set. I can hardly wait for this set to be available in the US. I give you two *y* up for your review. Model On.
  20. Thank you simon for the pics. I definitly *wub* this set too. Thank you Mr. Hobbles for that price. This gives me a rough idea of the price in the US. Definitly affordable here too. I can't wait for the release in the US. TLC is definitly on a roll with a good thing. I can't wait to see the other buildings they will release.
  21. I definitly think this is a nice parts collection. I would agree that he will not make as much as he is hoping. I am very curious what his collection will sell for though.
  22. With the release of the new 6 wide "City" sets, I like them so much better than the old 4 wide. In the time I have been collecting "Town" sets, I have never really liked the 4 wide. I have always wanted to see vehicles that could carry minifigs side-by-side. I did not start creating MOC's in 6 wide with the side-by-side concept until TLC came out with the new sets. The new sets even led me to redesign my "Trains" to 8 wide. Now with these changes I *wub* the scale. This scale looks so much more realistic. I am so *sweet* to see TLC changing the sizes. Maybe they just might change the "Trains" here soon too. Time will tell.
  23. I definitly would like to see an Indy theme. I totally *wub* the movies and new minifigs would be awesome. But I agree with many of you that JT was similar. I saw the Adventurers line as a Indy spoof. Time will tell if TLC releases this theme. If the idea is on the drawing board, I can't wait to hear what TLC will do. If the theme is a go, I will be :'-) to see the sets they come out with.
  24. Well I would like to say that my purchases have been this last week. I have been on vacation in the California area. I bought some parts at Legoland in California and at a Lego store in the L.A. area. I found the yellow rig at the Lego store for $5 ea US. I saved $10 for each one. So far this is what I have bought.
  25. I would definitly say your MOC is very cool. I agree with Asuka about your entryway. You did a wonderful job with this model. I give you two *y* up for this. Model On.
