The 8265 offered a very poor playability due to the standard LA (in manual version, for $80). So you had to buy the 8293 box ($30) to have a decent playbility (I said decent, not better, because it was impossible to combine arm and bucket movements, due to the gearbox). And this gearbox was only here in order to power the model with only one motor. If you correctly open your eyes, you will see 2 differentials on the 42209 and an electric motor under the bonnet.

Sorry, if the Sian is the 1.0, the Daytona is the Sian 0.5. No mechanism for doors, no AWD, no charisma :D -
[MOC] Mechanical Grader
Cypr-21 replied to paave's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That's a nice model with a lot of functions, in a small space, that's impressive. I think the playability could be better if you change the mLA by a worm gear for the front blade, don't you think ?- 13 replies

I have to find some time to present a tractor I made in 2021... Not very optimized, but functional.

I think it's not necessary to have different ratios if using a central differential, isn't it ? It's the differential purpose to make the speed difference between front and rear axles.

Is it better like this ? Seems to work in private browsing. -
This contest is an opportunity to make a MOC after 1.5 year without any creation... Since I restarted to build Lego and make creations in 2010, that’s the first long period without creation. I have so much ideas, but I also have a 2.5 y.o. daughter, and a playground for road bike, mountain bike and cross-country skis. Hopefully, I still built official models during this period to keep a "technology watch". So, enough talking about me, let's talk about my project. I want to make a spaceship inspired by the famous Benny spaceship, SPACESHIP, SPACESHIP. I will try That's for the global shape. I'm not sure I will have enough blue parts but there are alternative colours, that's not an issue. I know the 3 main functions I want to implement on the spaceship: - the wing extension, it’s a main function on Benny spaceship, SPACESHIP, SPACESHIP (probably I’ll never stop to do this :$) - the landing gears, there aren’t on Benny spaceship, SPACESHIP, SPACESHIP but Ianding gears brings more playability. - the motors rotation (even if it doesn't move irl, I want to add this for the show, but if this function is to hard to implement, I will give it up) I want these 3 functions motorized with a M motor, the rechargeable battery box and a gearbox like on the Airbus helicopter. I won’t use P.UP because I find the battery box very huge. I will probably implement other manual functions like cockpit opening, radar deploying, small spaceships on the wing, missiles, etc. So here is a little start :

Seems Santa is a bit early this year ^^ And he was probably mindfucked like me when he brought me a speed champions model instaed of a Technic model -
Just finished to build it : awesome moc, free professional instructions, and amazing building time ; I have no other word to describe it ! I'm a bit disappointed by two points : the car can't drive on the 3 and 4 speeds, even if I use the rechargeable battery instead of the big battery box, I think the car is too heavy :/ ; the second one is for the front lights which aren't as realistic as we can expect, but it's just to find bad points ;) I will go with it in exhibitions, I hope people will love it like I love it :)

Hi ! I just saw this topic (I have few time to explore all Lego technic forums), thanks for sharing :) Indeed it's a #41999 body on the RC unit (from supersonic RC #8366). I don't made building instructions bcause I haven't time, maybe later. More pictures : PS : after the crash, I didn't loose any part :)

I think all people who don't live in a cave saw my reproduction of the mini backhoe from 1H2013 :) I built the 3D file with SR3D Builder, and I posted it on Rebrickable. And here is the video : -

Hi, I'm back after holidays, and I'll present you my new MOC, a wheel loader with power function. It's full controlled by power functions, with one XL motor to drive (AWD), one M motor to control the steering system (with 2 LA), one M motor to lift the arm and another M motor to tilt the bucket. I spent a long time to build a 'clean' MOC, because I wanted hide all wires and PF elements into the loader. Here is a video to show how it works.
