  1. Are you trying to join? If so, please read the first post and join according to the instructions.
  2. I recommend boxing things up and storing somewhere safe (not in the attic unless it's well insulated). It may take a few years, but you'll be back and you definitely will be hindered if you were to try and re-buy all the star wars sets if you sell them. This seems to happen to people for various reasons and selling it all off (unless you need the money) is usually not the answer future-you would want.
  3. I've been seeing the same thing for a few years now in the USA. I don't try to figure out why, I just buy what I want if it's cheaper than Brinklink. BAM isn't a very cost-effective way to buy figures really, unless like you mention you can get rare parts.
  4. Doubtful because Lego has already stated that due to licensing reasons, they can not release SW figures without actual sets. Of course, licenses can change.
  5. So, i just got off the phone with Lego Customer Service. They were unable to fulfill any of my requests for parts. I wanted the spider and tiger from jungle, a bunny (from cmf but based on what he said i think it might be appearing in city next year), lobster & kayak from Fun@Beach. As disappointing as the call was, I did get some actual info I wanted to share with folks. He said that "in general" any new parts are unable to sell outside of sets for one year after creation, he said the lobster and kayak will be available in January. The spider and tiger later next year. Of course we know it's not 100% true, because we are able to buy some of the new parts already. However, it's good to know that it's not fully random (just mostly) and the lobster will be available. YMMV
  6. It was my favorite ride at Disneyland. I went on it again after the movie changes started (2006) and was extremely disappointed in the many changes already. If I ever go back to the park, I don't think I'll be waiting in the 45+ minute line for that one again.
  7. They fit but are tight and do pop off at the slightest tap sometimes. I used one on my calendar
  8. Can you fix those links please, linking to the google search result is a bit silly and looks horrible.
  9. I use to use LDD, but tried Stud.io (because LDD is blocked from download and install on my work machine ) I was pleasantly surprised by the Bricklink offering as I found the whole thing felt more "grown up" as far as interface. I also believe that new parts are added in quicker, as long as they are existing and released - sometimes LDD does add in parts that are coming out soon if it's close to update time. Of course the integration into Bricklink is very helpful, and LDD doesn't integrate into PAB or B&P, so you have to compile a list and find hte parts on your own there. I don't know why being a product from Bricklink would make someone nervous about using it, their goal is to get more sales so it's a vested interest in having a product people want to use that can then create more and larger sales for parts.
  10. This was the most difficult round yet for me. I suppose it's only going to get more difficult to choose as time moves on.
  11. Oh yeah, I know how to do that. Use to do it to fix my D&D Miniatures (not the metal ones of course). I'll do it if I ever need to use all the masks, but for now it's just in the wearables container ignored and hated.
  12. I might drive down for the show on Saturday, haven't fully decided yet (6 hour drive).
  13. Well, not all cameras/lenses go that high. Mine was just an example :P But yes, the higher number the better for getting more in focus.
  14. You need a different background for one thing, your water is out of scale to the ship and the lighting doesn't match. These are things we don't always think of but the unconcious eye sees it as an error and the correction is "obviously, it's just flying over the water" is our mind's fix. Once you get the right scale and lighting image, like Capt Wolf mentioned you need to really get the ship embedded into the water with some more editing. Think layers!
  15. No only what you showed, but the mask is so soft it deforms on it's own and one of mine came unusably deformed in the packet. Very disappointing overall.
  16. I'm not impressed really, i mean they are fine for what they are but it's the most simple basic type of Brickheadz with a few printed tile. I'm definitely not sad to miss either of these.
  17. They are nice. I have 10 or so? I was using them one for each CMF line, back when I thought it was a temporary line. You can get 2-3 figures per space if you really want to, which is what I've had to do because there are so many CMF now. The online price is out of hand though, keep an eye out at your local Toys R Us and you might find better deal on them. I don't think Walmart carries them anymore, which was the lowest price I was able to find back in 2011. They do hang on the wall and protect figures very nicely.
  18. Eurobricks isn't for hosting images, you'll need to use a Flickr/Photobucket/Brickshelf/simalar site to host your images and simply embed them in your posts. The upload we have available here is for avatars and attaching LXF files to posts.
  19. What @x105Black said is accurate and your choice is appropriate for placing your thread, but there's no wrath
  20. The main reason is because the sensor in your pocket camera was the size of a pinky nail and the one in your 70D is the size of a thumbnail. Depth of field is the issue. As you mentioned, aperture is the solution. To get more of the field in focus, you need to set a higher number in your Av setting, such as F8 instead of F4. This will mean that you need much more light or keep the camera steady longer for a clean photo. Here's a thread related to DoF, hope it helps.
  21. There is a whole line of different locations related to this one, but the harbor in particular caught my eye. I'd been wanting to create something modular like this since at least 2009, but never got around to even conceptualizing. I would definitely buy two of these if it was released. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4b3d9845-93a9-4f4a-9cda-5d268f339f6d
  22. Didn't you say you were just watching it? Many folks who wait for the dvd will be watching it soon, so at least a couple weeks, but in any case it never hurts to er on the side of caution about certain things. I agree with your idea on the manor D2C set though, I'd buy at least one!
  23. @J3D1-T Please be mindful of spoilers for those that have not seen the movie yet.
  24. You can't link images that way on EB. You'll need to link to the actual image (the url ending in jpg). Also, HTML doesn't work here, just paste the URL to the actual image and it will load up.
