  1. "because the Storm Troopers are all clones..." I know they aren't, but that's probably why they do it. I think I actually preferred it when they used the black, featureless heads as you didn't get a patch of yellow showing at the back. It's very rare for me to remove the helmet of a Storm Trooper so I'd prefer a better look with the helmet on.
  2. People seem to be talking about a re-released version, like the Death Star. I don't want one that is essentially the same. I'm also satisfied enough with the smaller versions they release for around £100 to not feel an urgent need for a much larger version.
  3. It won't. Even if it doesn't sell well, it's not costing Lego much.
  4. Tbh I don't want them to do a Falcon, I don't think the old one looks very good - the top surface looks too busy. I'd like to see a smaller scale Star Destroyer than the last one. I love USC sets, but could never fit a 3 foot long Star Destroyer anywhere.
  5. Lego hasn't said a single word about this set. People reacted to rumours and discussion and jumped to conclusions. Lego didn't even release a set number or name for it, so you can't blame them for teasing people.
  6. I've googled the pictures. They are almost certainly A-Wings.
  7. I'm not sure. Whilst it is the oldest, it is also one of the most popular. If it's selling better than the PC then I can imagine it sticking around longer.
  8. The closest we have to that right now is the Friends Hot Dog Truck. I've been tempted to get it because I think it'll look good in a city scene.
  9. I really hoped that the reason the Ideas museum was not passed in the review because there was one already on the way (like the Helicarrier). Yeah, we are very short of houses on the Modular block!
  10. That's a Lego Ideas set. It almost certainly won't get through.
  11. Whilst it had some memorable scenes, I don't think the structure itself is that iconic. Unlike the Death Star, I am sure many people would struggle to even remember the shape of the building.
  12. It's an interesting idea, although I can't think of many good UCS locations... then again I am thinking of a single, consistent build such as the original Cloud City, not little bits like Hoth. Perhaps they could do a UCS Endor (more of a forest battlefield than the Ewok village), Bespin, Mos Eisley. I can't think of many other iconic locations - Dagobah is a possibility, but it'd just be a hut and some swamp.
  13. I was thinking along the same lines, but a Star Destroyer/Tantive IV combo, but then I remembered how big the 10030 was with the tiny Tantive IV.
  14. I agree entirely. I don't agree with the price, I can just see how Lego could arrive at the price. Compared to the Disney Castle it seems like very poor value.
  15. They've approved "boring" sets before - the birds (whilst very nice) are simply a display piece. The Big Bang Theory set is just people sitting on a sofa. The Research Institute was just 3 people standing on small bases. However, the reason they won't be approved is because they have had modulars in the ideas review before and they have never been approved. They never pick things up that can compete with current lines.
  16. We haven't seen photos of any of them, as far as I know.
  17. As a lot of people have said before, $400 when the set came out is $470 now due to inflation. Plus 200 more pieces would add another $20 at 10 cents per piece. Not difficult to see how Lego could reach this new price
  18. A lot of people have thought this, but I really don't think it's likely. The original didn't sell well, and whole some people pay a fortune for it second hand, I don't think it's as popular as people think. It's always for sale for a high price, but how many times has it actually sold for those prices? Plus, there are loads of ships on the box, not just the Falcon. This is exactly right. When I got back into Lego I thought anything more than £50 was a lot, but then I saw the modulars. I thought £120 wasn't too bad for an occasional purchase. Modulars then became a regular purchase (I picked up every one what was available). I didn't think I'd spend more than that, but then I saw the Simpson's House. It wasn't much more so I got it - only another £40 or so. I never thought I would spend nearly £300 on a single set, but I have a Helicarrier on my shelf. If it seems worth the money, I'll get it. For example, I really like Lego space shuttles, but never got the Spaceport because, despite liking the set, it didn't seem like good value to me. There didn't appear to be a large amount of building due to the large cockpit piece. If people are willing to buy a Death Star for $400, then buying another set for $500 is not far off.
  19. I'm not saying everyone does, and I'm not saying they should do so over something educational. Just that it does happen. Some people can afford to let their kids go out and spend a few hundred pounds on something.
  20. Parents will buy their kids trainers that cost hundreds, when they are no better than ones that cost £30. Why wouldn't they do the same for a collectable Lego set. It's not going to be a regular thing, but there are some who would.
  21. I'd rather have a finished building. If you want a construction site you can buy the Lego City construction sets and not finish building your modular.
  22. There are plenty of other Jedi/robed torsos. To me, this is like saying "if they aren't making a moulded armour piece, they shouldn't print the ARC reactor on Iron Man because you can't use the torso for something else." It's part of the character's appearance, do it should be there.
  23. Just look on Reddit. If you can't find it on Top, look on New.
