MOC series: Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire

You did a great job with these, but I have to say the sub is the best, in my opinion. I also like how you included the exploding function in the barrel truck, well done! -

Yes, Pink Suit Batman is absolutely positutely coming! I don't know why I'm so excited, whether it's because it's so ridiculous that I want it or what, but that's honestly my favorite piece of info from this. Thanks, Catanas! -

Personally I would hope for the home-made Spidey suit. But no, I just talked to AB the other day, and he still doesn't know anything about it. -

I rewatched Man of Steel on FX the other night. For the mixed opinions it gets, you can't deny it has a terrific finale. -

LEGO Marvel's Avengers Video Game Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
So, just an interesting glitch I found today. By crossing either bridge in the Manhattan free roam, if you are using a flying vehicle (I use Lola) then you are able to not only bypass the roadblock, but also, so long as you hover/fly above the ground, cross into the "undeveloped" city you see across the water from the free roam. To enter you must go within a bridge, you can't accomplish it by simply flying into the zone. However, when flying through the undeveloped area (you must fly, otherwise you'll fall through the game), everything slows down.- 647 replies

I was thinking this could be the rumored fall 2016 polybag, actually. Considering he already has his suit on-screen, and this was in the Civil War film, I feel they would do another variant of this for the film. Lego knows Spidey sells.- 5,808 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hey guys. For anyone here in the US or Canada (?), does anyone know anything about the free ToysRUs build this weekend? The build itself, a mosaic of Captain America, is admittedly horrifying and ridiculous, but the free 16x16 base plate is a great freebie! Anyone know what color it is? Thanks, I can't tell. I will check again, however. Edit: I'm thinking blue, but I can't really tell. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-marvel-super-heroes-captain-america-mosaic-toys-r-us-building-event/ -

Marvel Super Heroes General Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
A bit late but I feel this would be terrific! I'm not sure how to acquire the badges, but I would love a bit of digital Marvel swag for my profile! We can't let those Rebels in the Star Wars forum have all the fun! Nope, it was a bit before your time. Last summer there was a member named "Nekchir" who, when 600+ posts in started claiming he had inside info and catalogue pictures, claimed we would be getting Kang rather than Thanos in the set we did this year. It caused a lot of hype until he claimed it was all untrue and was hence banned for Eurobricks. That's where our sad tale of treachery and heartbreak ends. -
Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, for kids (remember, the initial audience for these things? It's a tough thing to say out loud ), maybe children are expected to have seen this episode, at least those who want this set. Look at the SW Rebels line, and the sets produced off of that series. I suppose it's all in context, or heck, all in imagination.- 5,808 replies

This is so great. It's adorable, fun, and simply all-around bursting with creativity. I like how you spun the City angle for Star Wars, and it came out very nicely.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Alright, if you're sure, I'm sold. The new look is welcomed though, I believed there was a look like that in the portable version of the Lego Marvel Superheores game. I'm interested to see what he looks like, more-so than the Adaptoid, anyways. That would be amazing...with that shield.- 5,808 replies

The difference: the fact that we have 12 of the Star Spangled Super Soldier and 10 are Steve Rogers, 1 is Bucky Barnes, 1 is Sam Wilson, and neither of the latter 2 were available to the 7,000,000,000. Its simple math, really.- 5,808 replies

I don't get the whole diversity argument in cases like these. Any white character can be cast of a different ethnicity, such as Mary Jane (potentially) or the Human Torch, but when it comes to casting a character of color or minority ethnic descent, like White Tiger, it has to be spot-on casting for them? You look over in DC TV: the members of the West family (originally white characters in the comics) on "The Flash" were cast as African-American (and yes it turned out to be great), but you cast a minority character such as Trajectory gets cast as white and people flip? I again have no doubt of Zendaya's talent, and she may very well do a fantastic job. I just think that's a classic comic personality such as Mary Jane Watson should be spot on. Kirsten Dunst fit the appearance by dying her hair, and ironically, Emma Stone did the same for Gwen Stacy. I don't believe she was necessarily miscast, i just don't look upon this as the set choice for the film. I'm sorry if anyone sees this as possibly insensitive, but that's how I feel about this, and in cases like this..."to each their own." The MCU is headed on the right track. The upcoming film Black Panther is a huge step in the right direction, and is the first of its kind: a minority-led superhero film (Unless you count Blade, 1998). And if you think about it, Guardians of the Galaxy technically included a lot of racial diversity, for any film.

Right, like if we got a Star Wars set with Peter Griffin as Han Solo instead of Harrison Ford...oh, I see what you mean. But that would sell well, and personally I feel Lego does make an effort to diversify their minifigure roster for AFOLs.- 5,808 replies

^No, the villain of the set is indeed a Super-Adaptoid; the character in question is Captain America himself, and which one he will be, given the adaptions of the Super-Adaptoid- 5,808 replies

^I was hoping that as well, she would no doubt do fantastic in that role, given her take-charge attitude and slender physique. I suppose we'll have to wait and see, but for now nothing is set in stone.

So, how does everyone feel about the newest Spidey news. For those of you who are unaware, Zendaya is supposedly playing the supporting role of Personally, I'm not keen on this casting. With a character as pivotal and beloved as Spider-man, one of his main compatriots should not be cast out of appearance, such as the Human Torch was. Don't get me wrong, she's a great actress, but I don't feel she was the right choice for the role.
