  1. To be fair it is hard to put a differential in here A differential has a diameter of 3.2 studs, which requires a one stud space in front of and above and under it.
  2. This is very helpful! I'll add it to the Osprey reconstruction thread so that people can get around the requirement for the dumb hub.
  3. My guess for the IP Vehicle is that it's either a Bentley or an Audi. These are the brands owned by VW Group. Among the brands that have not been featured in Lego Technic, Audi and Bentley are probably the most well known. I have no idea what Seat and Skoda are. Scania and Man are truck brands, and there are two trucks in the lineup already.
  4. Dont worry, I'll conduct regular inspection at my local toy store, just like I did this summer
  5. Heavy Duty Tow Truck should be the next one in the midscale truck lineup. At 149.99 EUR, it share the same retail price with 42078 and 42098. A 4-axle 1000-piece truck at that scale only costs 100 EUR, with reference to 42112. So I guess it either comes with a secondary vehicle, probably a car at the Corvette scale, or is motorized. The car can have a switch that lock and unlock the rear axle, so that when the axle's locked, the tow truck can properly demonstrate the towing function. And if it's motorized, then the Osprey battery box will finally return.
  6. Maybe this Bulldozer can have a rotating seat for a motorized function.
  7. So for 2H we're gonna have a 4x4, possibly RC set, together with a licensed 400+ EUR biggest-of-its kind construction machine. Are we living in 2019 or what?
  8. I was willing to put down a heap of money for the Liebherr because it's a clear step up from the previous RC excavator. 42100 has 7 functions and is based on a real behemoth. It oozes grandeur. I don't feel the same for the CAT D11. So if the rumor's true, I will be quite discouraged to buy the next flagship, despite possessing only 1 bulldozer so far (42028). I did pass over the 2020 flagship already.
  9. https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-technic-42131-cat-d11t-bulldozer-highlight-fuer-das-zweites-halbjahr-2021-110515/
  10. Oh you are right. I didnt know that the pullbacks are placed after the 1H flagship in terms of set number. All this time I've thought they come before it.
  11. Since I've managed to PF-convert 42114, I intend to do the same to the remaining C+ models. Is that a wise thing to do? I do enjoy very much the immediacy and tactility of the good ole PF IR controller.
  12. As a working adult and a busy AFOL, I don't really put much emphasis on playability. What I look for is mostly a good look. Good look is not the same as displayability for me. I live alone and my models will inevitably be wrapped inside plastic bags a week or two after the build to avoid dust, so I don't have a need to display a model both to me and to others. I also welcome a well-thought design. A design and some details that carry purposes will delight me. I bought a 42076 and still haven't built it. It's been collecting dust since ever. What I don't like about it is just that it doesn't look good.
  13. Not really. In 2014 the 1H flagship ends at 42025, but the next set in 2H starts at 42028. There hasn't been any year lately in which there are 6 sets either. I would expect 4 sets. 42128: Something small and unusual or rarely featured in the Technic lineup. Price should be <100 EUR 42129: Something 1000-ish pieces 42130: Something 1500-ish pieces 42131: Flagship. Let's look at the patterns. I excluded the supercars. 2015: 42040, 42041, 42042, 42043 2016: 42053, 42054, 42055 2017: 42068, 42069, 42070 2018: 42079, 42080, 42081, 42082 2019: 42097, 42098, 42099, 42100 2020: 42111, 42112, 42113, 42114
  14. Yes it is. It's based on a type of compact BWE.
  15. If this bulldozer is to be done properly, then it should have at least 6 functions. This pattern has been apparent since 2014. L350F is the biggest loader in Volvo's loader lineup. BWE is the biggest land machine. A60H is the biggest hauler in Volvo's hauler lineup.
  16. Same for me. The design language and use of Lego pieces are very inconsistent and jumbled.
  17. I've just found out that the whole fictional Rescue logo and typeface aren't things that started with the Osprey. They first appeared in the 42092 Rescue Helicopter.
  18. Panel 5x11 tapered in orange? Did you take it from the Osprey?
  19. Too bad kinetic scultures as a separate theme isnt commercially viable. TLG ran a pilot named Lego Forma and it was shut down after 6 months or sth.
  20. I took some photos of my modified 42114 in the same pose as the official 42114 and the real Volvo A60H. Compared with official 42114 Compared with the real A60H
  21. Names should be out in this or next month though.
  22. TLG already released one. The name's 42070.
