If 42082 B is a reach stacker, and I pray that it is, I'll get 42082 without a second thought. For some unknown reasons I have a particular preference for Forklift and Reach Stacker. The main reasong I bought 42009 is also because of the B model reach stacker. But the 42009 reach stacker is visually appaling, full of gaps, and, this is what I've just learned lately, isn't in the correct scale. It turns out reach stackers are massive, and by massive I mean the wheels are almost as tall as an average adult. It's like the Xerion or Unimog. So a proper Technic reach stacker needs 94.3 tyres not 62.4. 42082 may be the chance for me to get it. Unless TLG pull another B model like that heinous 42070 B.... -

@AVCampos That thing doesnt count because the A model already has a trailer Maybe I should limit my statement into "anything having more than 4 wheels and not having a trailer in the A model will almost get a trailer for the B model" -

I think it's almost a rule that anything having more than 4 wheels will get a trailer for the B model. -

For 42082 imagine BWE 42055 with the arm pointing upward. 42082 superstructure is 21 stud wide, the same as 42055 turret. -

For amazon.de 42070 has just dropped from 250 EUR (RSMP) to 180 EUR. That's a deep and rarely seen 28% cut. I guess that's what it's truly worth. Back to 2018 sets. This may be the first time, I really don't want to admit it, that I consider not buying the flagship o__O I've got flagships from 2010 to 2017, minus 2011 flagships Unimog. Even for the widely criticized 42070 I still thought of buying it because it looks really bulky, intimidating, and appealing enough. But this 42082 feels like a rehashed 42009 o____O If it turns out to have superior or cooler functions I may rethink. But now I'm thinking of a pass. -

^ No idea what you meant with that question. A couple of things I've noticed in the 42080: - There's some thing blue, 1 stud long on the surface of the back body, right next to the 3x5 lime panel. I think that's one end of the compressor. - There's something grey, rectangular under the white liftarm, and an orange 2 stud liftarm in the rear body. I think those can be the battery box and its switch. -

If the valves are in the back then the hose running from the back would be either grey or black. -

For the 42080, we can see a blue hose running from the rear body to the front body. According to the color coding rules for pneumatics, blue hoses connect the compressor with the valves. This means the valves are in the front body and behind the cabin. -

Well if the beam is 7 studs high the double bent lift arm wouldn't stick out either. -

Well so does the shape of the panels in 42042. -

I think this picture provides a perfect reference: Here we have also a 7 stud high boom and a 3x11 panel skewed at the similar angle. For me the 3x11 white looks clearly different in height with the something x 11 panels in 42082. -

And the vertical distance between two holes on the panel is longer than the height of one hole. If it's a 3x11 panel then only 1 hole should fit. Vertical distances get distorted significantly less than horizontal distances in perspective. -

For me it's just simply that, the bridge of the dogbone looks longer than the either 3L liftarms at both end. Recall that for a 3x5 dogbone the bridge is also 3L, which is equal to the liftarms at both end. So it must be longer than a 3x5. -

Given the new gearbox design style, and the large space in the undercarriage, I'd venture to say it's a two way switch for the outriggers. On another note, I see a 3x11 shell with 10 holes, and 2 small panels in red just in front of the cabin. This means the superstructure is 21 stud wide. All the more reason to believe in the XL turntable made of black quadrants! To put it in scale, the superstructure of 42009 is only 15 stud wide. -

Or we can think about it this way. The boom of 42009 is already 7 stud high. Does it make sense for this gigantic 42082 to have a 5 stud-high boom? -

I think this pic resemble the forklift pose on the box most Compared to this pic, the 42079 has a smaller cabin and shorter body, but roughly same wheels. So my point about wheels being oversized is not without evidence. -

@I_Igor Yeah the very first mod I will do with the forklift is to replace the 62.4 with the 4 spare 49.5 from MACK B model. -

I don't think it's motorized because there's no axle running through the crane arm. Whether it can spin manually I have no idea.
