  1. @Aleh OMG that commentator got me laughing like a maniac
  2. Here's the Ponsse that you all've been waiting for
  3. Yeah I forgot to dye the wheels. Will get it done by tomorrow.
  4. Here's a 42080 with Yellow and DBG. I tried to make it Yellow and Black but can't seem to figure out how to turn the dark green into black. I know I'm gonna get a ton of bricks for this, but I've come to like the official garish color scheme. This edited version looks dull.
  5. I'm doing some photoshop tricks to overlay the lime with yellow and dark green with black to make it resemble to the Ponsse Scorpion King.
  6. Since 42080 is not a licensed set, some distortion, or "creative liberty", must be exercised. @Maaboo35
  7. I beg your pardon. 42080 is based on a real machine. The only thing that is perhaps not real about is the color scheme.
  8. One of the thing I'm concerned about lately is how to reuse spare parts from B models. The 42078 B leaves me 8 small panels in DBG. I think I would bricklink parts to build the 42082 B. And I'd change all the dark green into DBG, so that the only prominent green is lime. Lime and DBG is quite a good combination, as evidenced in the 42054 Claas. @Maaboo35 42080 A 42080 B
  9. I'd love to see if someone can turn this thing into a reach stacker.
  10. Echo Jim. Can't really fathom the attributed superiority to Technic sets of last generation. As a person who buy sets for display, I care most about the appearance and aesthetic value. On those terms current Technic sets beat those of last generation by a long long shot.
  11. On another note, there must be some magical ways to quickly separate the superstructure from the under carriage. Or if there's not an easy way to separate, maybe it could be like the 42042. The undercarriage is the same, but the instruction goes over the steps for the undercarriage again.
  12. Another thing I don't like about the B model is that the pile holder is too short. With all the panels and beams that make up the long boom, why cant the pile holder has similar length?
  13. Maybe Olav ran out of steam after designing the A model. According to Markus 42009 took almost a year to design. I'd expect 42082 to take that or even longer. Probably 1.5 years. Designer resources are needed for 42083 as well. So probably there wasn't anyone with free hands to develop a completely new B model. The monstrous 42055 A was designed by Markus, while the no-less-monstrous 2907-piece B model was designed by Aurelien. Maybe even Markus can't take on two monstrous models at the same time. So Olav gotta go for the easy way.
  14. If history is to repeat itself, next year we will have a less-than-stellar lineup. I'd venture a guess that next year flagship is another Uwe-ish, RC, with big wheels. Maybe 8x8 Terrain Adventure Truck with only drive and steer.
  15. This summer's gonna hurt my wallet like a you-know-what (Maroon 5 song reference) 42083, 42082, 42081 x2, 42080 x2, 42079
  16. B model superstructure motorized functions: - Dropping weight with winch - Deploying pipe holder - Raising cabin
  17. Am I the only one who find Claas tyres extremely attractive
