  1. next! This thing is built around a mech chassis from MyFrame, website here: https://www.mybuildtoy.com/ here's a review photo aaaand here's another These guys sell some individual parts, a kit that's just the bare mech frame, and a few complete figure/mech kits. Those might be worth checking for other interesting bits - for instance one comes with two of these roof pieces in light bley, which lego hasn't made; anyway I ended up buying just two of the bare frames. My only real complaint is, the clip/bar connections are off. Lego clips fit loosely, trying to force a Lego bar through the MF clips makes me worry about breaking something, so this limits compatibility a little.
  2. Fantastic. And yeah, some of their figures are hilariously bad Save your fingers from the interminable torturous travails of stacking little bitsy sharp edged plates, that's what. and make you wonder who thought that was a good idea
  3. Enlighten makes a 1x2 version, that's all I know about.
  4. The magnificence and genius of this thing really needs theme music That's right. 1 X 1 X 2/3 BRICK From Gudi.
  5. How is Cobi, qualitywise? I've been thinking of picking up some of their tanks. That would be useful. I've made similar by cutting down these parts a while ago.
  6. Congratulations Kritch! and @Peppermint_M could I have the top hat please and thank you
  7. Oh, the next one will be really mindblowing, I have to think about presenting it properly.
  8. Nice, I really like that drivers' cabin arrangement. The little 6x6 is also neat.
  9. I don't have them, no. Would be great if you could delete all three.
  10. Towball joints next. Black, some dark bley, interesting variation like 1x1 plates with balls or sockets. These are from Sembo Block sets 8600 through 8604, sold as a set, but you have to search for Yeah. Here's a link to where I bought mine. And here's links to pics of parts inventories: 1 2 3 4
  11. Access yeah. I can view yours and there's a gallery option under my profile... that's all though, no images, no option to add or delete them. It looks like a feature left halfway disabled. I tried adding the attachments to a post, to see if that changes anything but it did not. here's the link
  12. Guess I'll spam slowly then. Thanks!
  13. reversers collection Most are thinner than Lego, 0.5 plate thick, equal to the narrow side of a bracket piece. The Tyco antistud-to-antistud parts are 1.5 plate thick. This is standard Tyco plate thickness, sometimes useful, when building around baseplates for example. The Wange parts are dimensionally standard 1x2 plates. This gray doesn't quite match Lego gray, color comparison here
  14. Sooooo I've got a couple of annoying issues. 1. "You have used all of the attachment space you are allowed. Manage Attachments to free up space." The 'manage attachments' screen shows me three images, but no way to delete them. 2. Replying to my own post merges the two. How can I instead keep them separate?
  15. by OVERWHELMING POPULAR DEMAND here is a thread for useful parts from clone brands. Everybody's welcome to contribute. I'll be updating it now and then with stuff from my collection. For a start, some hands. I haven't been too happy with what's available for mech building, so these immediately caught my eye. These are rather nice. Poseable, expressive, good for medium mechs. They can't actually hold things - thumbs are too loose and there's not enough finger segments - but there's an attachment point in each palm, either stud or pin-sized. They're exclusive to this one nameless action figure series. Since the sellers shove as many keywords into the title as possible to game search results, you can only find them by searching for character name (Xiang Yu, there's also Lu Bu, Gao Jianli, Han Xin, maybe others) and digging through the sellers' inventory for others. Welcome to aliexpress. Some of those sets have interesting parts, like the big sword blades in black. Quality overall is poor. The hands hold up well, but the parts often have sprue remains that have to be cut off, the face prints are terrible, and so on... still, most of it is standard bionicle parts, durable enough to be useful.
  16. whoa, frontpage? Huh! Neat, thanks! Something A-Wing-ish is coming eventually, but that's about it. Yeah. I really like the VERY old ones, set 442 for example. Nothing but lovely gray, with trans-color accents.
  17. Thanks guys! Huh, interesting..I thought I used too much blue. It's already in pieces, so a little too late to experiment.
  18. Y-Wings are nice, I've wanted to build one for a while, so I did. I hope you found this story exciting. optional astromech attachment:
  19. Nice sorta sharkmouth effect with the front panels, I'm going to have to steal that.
  20. Just curious, what's the record for thread necromancy? This is almost ten years, I am impressed.
  21. These look great. Really liking the camouflage, especially the gray striping on the German. I've got a question about some parts. the round plate with clip used for the Warwick's searchlight, and the driver's hatch on the Blackjack - those aren't Lego parts, are they? where'd they come from?
  22. Quite a bit. I'm redoing my sorting/storage this week so I'll be taking more pics. I guess I'll start a new thread to serve as a collection point, once I've got enough material.
  23. Sounds nice. I'll toss some photos in.
  24. 11 - 2 points 3 - 1 point bah, tough choice
