  1. I'd like to mention at this point that, as a very excited Smash Bros. fan who's looking forward the newest game, I already get trolled by Sakurai for at least a week now, as he plays with the expectations of the fan base for character announcements. The comments here made me just realize how dependent I am on things like LEGO and Nintendo, to the point that I'm practically dying for every bit of new information.
  2. Alright then, I'll review him. (And I promise, I'll make this review for Dragon Bolt soon. Really.)
  3. Depending on the price, I'd surely buy some of those 2-in-1 sets, as they do look nice. Heck, I'd even buy sets I'd already own just to get a few more parts.
  4. Quick question: Has anyone already made a review for Brain Attack Evo? I bought him some time ago and still haven't unpacked him, so I might write a review for him if I find the time for it (though I'll make the Dragon Bolt review I've been promising to make for 3 months by now first).
  5. Makes sense, since you got the Brain Attack sets later than we did.
  6. I don't know about other countries, but in Germany it's already over.
  7. On that note I'd like to mention I got a Rotor with the new 2011 sockets, bizarrely enough (though I also bought him in 2011, he was on sale in my LEGO store back then). But just like most other folks here already stated: The new joints remedied the issues the older sockets had. They hold more weight than the old ones introduced within the Slizers, but they don't tend to crack like the later Bionicle joints. In 2012 LEGO also introduced the friction joints, which can even hold more weight than the regular joints.
  8. I meant in general. I believed that some of the leaks for the 2011 line had confidential watermarks on them, that's why I was so confused about that.
  9. Brain Attack Stormer and Surge also got flick fire missiles. Regarding pictures... weren't the pictures we always got in the previous years leaks as well? Because I'm now a bit confused about which pictures are allowed and when.
  10. Actually, I still store my parts in all the canisters I have around (or in the boxes of the larger sets), but I prefer the bags nonetheless, since they are easier to store away if not in use for parts storage. But should I ever need any more parts storage, I'll probably get some other canisters for this. I like to grub through canisters or boxes for parts. On the topic itself: As long as I won't see any official pictures, I won't trust this list.
  11. As I already said, I'm super-lazy when it comes to LEGO recently (or my tabletop miniatures). I do intend to change that. Well, maybe I'll get on this review in the next days...
  12. I second Aanchir's opinion on this MOC. The overal design looks very good, but if you add a secondary colour (orange would be perfect for this, since it was Tahu's original secondary colour) to it, this "very good" would become a "fantastic". I also really love the sword design. And the bulk of his torso. Overall, great job! I'd recommend you to try taking pics with a different background, maybe that could improve the quality of the pics a bit.
  13. I've got this symbol too, yet I haven't participated in the Chima contest/raffle at all (because I'm terribly lazy - I feel super-sorry for everybody who's still waiting for my Dragon Bolt review, which I still intend to write).
  14. Sure you can, here's the MOCpages link. Don't worry, I never thought that his limbs has to be removed for the transformation. I'm just wondering where they get stored in vehicle mode.
  15. I also ventured into transforming Bio-MOCs myself once (my version of Rocka can transform into a lion), so it's nice to see others doing so as well. Your Speeda Demon version works pretty well in both modes, though the vehicle looks more like a jet than a bike, which was the mode I expected when I saw the robot mode. Funnily enough though, the way how the feet form the nose of the vehicle reminds me of the transformation of Hasbro's Construct-Bots toys (at least the toys of the first wave unfortunately rely all on the exact same transformation, as far as I could tell). But the rest of your transformation is far better. I'm still trying to figure out where all his other limbs store (or where the smokestacks are in robot mode). Overall, it's a pretty decent modell, especially for being just an alternate model. Keep up the good work bacem!
  16. You also get all the other neat parts from Surge multiple times that way, like the thunder piece.
  17. The Wave 1 Brain Attack sets are already hard to find here in Germany. Apparently, most retailers learned not to overstock these guys.
  18. I'm currently trying to make parts to customize a Transformer, and I avoid creating ball joints as far as possible just for that reason - I still haven't figured out how to make cups in the first place.
  19. I think some of these would be also really great to incorporate the older limbs from Bionicle into the current HF system. Leewan, you really also make me rethink my ways of being a purist. Let us know once you've got past prototype stage with these things.
  20. That's an interesting topic! I'm not a member of a LUG, mostly because I don't even know if there are any LUGs in my region, especially LUGs for constraction figures. I'd gladly join one if there would be one though. As far as the online AFOL community goes, I wrote reviews for most of my Hero Factory sets since summer 2011 (which reminds me I still have to write the Dragon Bolt review), and I'm also otherwise quite active in the Action figure discussions (in fact, Eurobricks is probably one of the boards where I'm the most active in overall).
  21. That's strange. I just checked my Stormer and Surge again, and their visors were fine. I guess you can get replacements by LEGO in that case. Can you make pictures of the visors?
  22. Oh, I actually meant only the summer wave. I passed on many sets from the first Brain Attack wave, though I bought a few more since they went on sales. Originally, I had only Breez, Ogrum and Furno XL, but just recently I bought Pyrox and Bruizer. I don't care much for Brain Attack Bulk (though I start to regret passing on his Breakout version), and I'm anything but interested into the golden fellows.
  23. It's nice to see how other reviewers tackling sets I've also reviewed. Plus, your pictures are better than mine. And I can really agree with you on Cragger. The only thing that bothered me was his staff-like weapon, but as you said, it's LEGO, so it can be easily rearranged. Oh, by the way... Seems like you forgot to put some here?
  24. Since I buy sets more for their parts than their design, I rarely go out and collect an entire wave. I'm dangerously close to get this wave as a whole though, since there are only two sets I don't own yet (and since I own Aquagon, I'm really keen on getting Evo too).
  25. While it's only a minor detail, I can agree with you now that you mention it Aanchir. I might be wrong on this, but I guess they didn't went with the triangle piece because of the costs. The gap exists because the sight of his helmet is wider than his visor goes. That's also the reason why it's only noticeable from the side, but not the front. It certainly is a bit of a bummer, but on the other hand, the wide eyes of the helmet were kinda vital to keep the look of Surge right, so I'm fine with that. I'm also kinda surprised how well all this stuff works on him. I was at first also a bit sceptical about him having trans-blue shoulders, but once he's finished, everything just fits together nicely.
