    Same. I'd been wondering what set those tiles were from, but then saw a FB post about the 60234 People Pack - Fun Fair set.

    The tax issue is certainly true in some places, some places not. For those not familiar with them, US sales taxes are imposed by states, counties, and even cities to cover costs of a number of things that are administered by the municipality. They can even vary from year to year because of ballot measures for limited term tax increases for things that pass locally. Where I live sales tax this year went from 6.5% to 7% because of two .25% ballot measures I voted for in 2018. I don't do much traveling, but when I did I'd seen some appreciably higher sales taxes. One was as high as 12%. That is why the US version of the Lego Shop@Home has a zip code line on the shopping cart page to determine the taxes. Try it sometime, find the zip codes for a number of areas and compare the tax calculations for the same item. Thank you, @Itaria No Shintaku, for sharing what you can.

    When it comes to the DC series, I think it has license specific costs that warrant the increase. Read my post in the Future Series thread. I doubt it will affect other series. On the actual subject of this thread, it looks like we can legitimately call the upcoming series Anniversary.

    Remember that this is purely a licensed theme, and may have other considerations that WW, Disney, and Simpsons didn't. Look at the purely DC sets. Given their piece count, they are slightly overpriced for the parts you get even factoring in new molds. We also have to consider that some new molds might be theme specific (possibly contractually so like the baldric) which would increase LEGO's production costs. A modest increase in price is not unwarranted.

    LEGO did something similar with Bombur though they built it into the headgear.

    What is being discussed is debtor's prison, a convenient excuse used to jail someone wanted put away for some other reason. Totally consistent with the era, and a government largely beholden to an organized religion.

    An in-house theme would be great, and new factions the ideal. Still, a small bit of nostalgia in the flagship set would be welcome. A Nexo Knights shield plate used to simulate a small wall hanging to which a sticker would be applied could give us the nostalgia aspect. I would have a sheet with several factions' symbols, each getting it's own plate. The area where the "wall hanging" is in the set would only have a spot for one or two, so that the builder chooses what faction's "wall hanging" (if any) to display.

    The Crahaish neh Triuri are generally into missionary work right now, with some small shrine building. There is a Royal sized Theological Institute planned for Salida Este, but that's on the back burner for now. Here's a general rundown of the culture/religion I created, so others can begin to include them in storylines. I'll post a full write-up thread, with timeline and holy days. when I have time to consolidate all that I have posted.

    I thought that was a chemical formula issue with the actual ABS, to improve the longevity of the parts. LEGO is doing this again with their new "green" parts, made from a plant based material.

    If you get away from the idea of baseplates, and consider large standard plates, the base of the build could be six 16x16 plates in either tan or dark tan, with some longer 6 wide plates in dark blue or dark azure wrapping around at least two (maybe 3) sides.

    I would love for LEGO to get a license deal with Wizards of the Coast, for the fact that The Legend Of Drizzt is my gold standard for fantasy storytelling. LOTR/Hobbit is too rambling, and George R. R. Martin is a hack compared to R. A. Salvatore. HBO could have done better. Wizards has an animated Magic: the Gathering TV show coming to Netflix, but we would have seen some kind of promotional release by now if LEGO had gotten the license. The World of Warcraft movie bombed, so I doubt LEGO would pursue that license. It's main demographic is teens and adults. More on the adult side, too, given some things that can be done in the game. Still, I think the next Castle/Fantasy theme will be in-house. The market is there, and with an in-house theme they can have it run without too much overlap with it's existing themes.

    Western is pretty much dead. The last gasp it had was The Lone Ranger, which pretty much bombed. It would take serious media interest for Lego to take up the theme again. As to the hopes for Castle, the latter half of 2020 is probably the earliest the actual theme could resurface. With the properties Witcher, The Wheel of Time, and LOTR all getting series on streaming platforms, it is possible that LEGO might want to capitalize on the interest. I don't think it will happen with a license, though, so we could get a very kid-friendly theme or expensive adult-targeted nostalgia sets.

    I believe LEGO did a Creator 3-in-1 vehicle set that had steampunk elements.

    Who else uses their BOBS figs/builds to lampoon real world people/things/events? I've done this on occasion, and I'm pretty sure @Darnok and @Mesabi do it more often than most realize. And there's the answer to Darnok's "builder's block", find something to lampoon.

    The upcoming Frozen II sets, added to the existing Harry Potter theme, make me think that Castle won't be seeing a reboot anytime soon.

    How about using status e-mail system? That would keep the locations private. You can already get status listings on your freebuild forms and property licenses. Make it so that it includes all MRCA forms filed the previous six month that include a ship's name, so that convoy filings made my another player gets included.
