With Skrall and Cronk's words echoing in his head, Tarn meets Atramor also going North (and up a staircase to the second floor?). Tarn smiles grimly at his friend and follows him.

Tarn relayed a message to Skrall through Vipera: "We have taken out U'Vires, Blackenord has taken a beating and Cronk is targetting him this go around, one of the 4 Chimera Guards are down. Shall I start slicing through the remaining Chimera Guards or do you want me to move anywhere?"

Sorry for a noob question, but do free hits count in full even though Tarn attacked from the back row? Seeing that he was proctected by Cronk's guardian angel, Tarn wielded Helbaerend once again and attacked Lord Blackenord from the front row.

Am I still using Helbaerend as my Power has not changed? I only ask as it does double damage to mechanicals. Therefore my action is as follows: With a defiant roar, Tarn targets Chimera Guard A from the back row, knowing his axe would make up for the further away positioning.

Tarn nodded at the Ogre. He liked this guy's 'take charge' attitude immediately. "By your command"' he said, looking over at the rest of Team Blue. De'kra, he knew, the Orc Paladin he had only met very briefly, during the tragic standoff with Constance. Lord Knyghton he did not recognise at all.

Zeph, if anyone is reading or playing in these Quests and thinking "this is rubbish, the heroes aren't being allowed to make their own decisions" then they don' t understand that the story is driving things, not the characterisation. I am having a great time!

Tarn, mind reeling from the sequence of events since his KO, spoke softly to Atramor. "I would love to get my hands on that bastard's sword." He then spoke aloud to the other heroes. "It is good to see everyone's again. I will follow the orders of any one of you party leaders, but we must keep the Emperor and Ella safe."

I know OOC comments are somewhat frowned upon but, I always knew my luck would run out at some point!

"It's down to us now. All or nothing. I suggest two of us take the Commander and one takes Lyons. I would dearly love to finish Lyons but I think Phil wants that honour, so I will take on the Rogue Lion Commander from the front row."

Seeing the crazy look in the Rogue Commander's eyes as a result of Atramor's Hexing, Tarn confidently assaulted him from the front row. "We almost have this, keep up the pressure!"

"I believe Phil is attacking Lyons regardless of his health despite our pleas, so I am attacking the Commander to make sure there are no free hits. If you use our last Essence on Thothwick and Phil falls again, we all lose."

The long, drawn-out battle continued. With both Thothwick and William down, Tarn did not know whether to risk another full-on assault on Lyons, to take a more measured approach against him like Phil had just done, or to change tack and attack the Commander full bore. He didn't think he'd do anywhere near enough damage to Lyons from the back row, due to his armour, so he instead focused on the Rogue Lion Commander B, charging him from the front row.

I think Sandy has a lot of plans for the main Houses that we are yet to see. They post a lot about 'storylines' so I think the main narrative thread will continue for a while yet. Plus there are the great QMs with their ideas, and I have an idea I am working on, and I am also currently trying to brainstorm ideas for the conclusion of the Sorona/Haroka situation as I want to have a very solid idea of where I want it to go. Can't really wing an ending!

Tarn watched in horror as both Thothwick and Phil fell to vicious blows, whilst he was once again unable to connect with Lyons. He poured his Phoenix Essence into Phil's mouth, cursing himself for not having the foresight to load the potent consumable into his Hollow Bladed weapon before this battle.

"Mr Thothwick, I have sensed an animosity between you and Atramor since we began this Quest. I do not know what you have against him, but I really think you should put away personal feelings and let him heal you, so that you can attack from the back row. We are already down William, with myself and Phil at risk too. We need you to stay in this fight."

Tarn frowns as his team-mates plan their strategy. "Mr Thothwick, fighting from the back will not save you against such an encouraged foe, unless you were to be healed, which isn't all that likely considering Atramor's attempts so far. Atramor - Phil, like myself, will fall to Lyons blade if he gets hit even if he were at full health. You are best off trying to heal Mr Thothwick, at least that way his staying in the back row could save him should he get hit."

Yep, Tarn has practically nothing left, and no gold to buy any more

Tarn grinned at Phil as their weapons found their mark on the domineering Lion Knight. "Let us finish this, for Dastan!" He raced at Lyons, hopefully for the final time, from the front row

The Shield roll should overwrite Nyx using the healing staff and become the Battle Mage special, not sure if you did that? Tarn knows that he is riding his luck and that soon Lyons will land a devastating hit on him, but undettered, he once again attackedLyons from the front row. "Let us worry about that after we have defeated you and your vaunted Lion Knights. All I want right now is to smash your self-righteous face in!"

"Gratitude, Nyx, but I shall fall regardless of health if Lyons hits me with his blade. Mr Thothwick would be a better choice at this time."

Tarn felt better once they only faced two enemies, but knew that without healing any of them could fall with any successful attack against them. It was a shame Nyx had not used her Dragon Scale earlier to help counter her appallingly bad run of luck, but hopefully now the tide of battle had turned in their favour. "Now might be a good time to revive Mr Harkenshire!" he called to his comrades. He knew that most of them carried Phoenix Essences, but really wanted to shut Lyons up. He held Helbaerend up high, the gems embued in its hilt sparkling. "This certainly has been a battle, Lyons, but your Lion Knights are falling, and soon, you will join them. I don't believe you to be true Lions of Dastan, you are trying too hard to convince us of that fact, but know this; we are true heroes of Heroica, and your time is at an end!" Tarn runs at Lyons, attacking from the front row.

"Your end will come by my blade, Lyons, just not quite yet!" spoke Tarn, more in control of his rage for the moment. He looks across and takes on Rogue Lion Commander A from the front row.

I am worried we are missing a trick by not reviving William. Also we are leaving one of the commanders with a free hit - madness when we are all so low on health. Despite Tarn's awesome role playing characterisation seen above, I am happy to either use my Phoenix Essense on William, or target the other Commander.

All those great pictures of Bag End and yet I just can't get over how cool Bofur's hat is. That's gonna be my favourite Lego piece ever!
