Just found that pan0.net can share panorama quick and easy. Here is my first attemp to make a virtual tour, so I make it quick and simple. There are many softwares can make full functions VT. Just found FSPViewer is free and simple, so I try it. Please tell us if you found better one. http://www.fsoft.it/...a/FSPViewer.htm First made three ldd2povray panorama renderings, then make three small .text file for three hotspots. Put these six file in same folder, then use FSPViewer to open one of the *.fsv and click the red hotspot icon to start virtual tour. Background music is live piano performance by my child. Eurobrick's 4th LDD RCB
Nachapon Bricks replied to Piratedave84's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thanks, Now I am learning to make a minifig virtual tours using hotspots feature. It should be fun to make something like classic Myst game in lego models. "Hotspots An typical feature of viewers are hotspots: an hotspot is a portion of a panorama that can be clicked to open another panorama. With FSPViewer you can define hotspots inside the FSV control file. You can specify the viewing direction and angle of view of the opened panorama, in order to create immersive virtual tours." -

Some improvement: -Random decals at foot / side of leg / hat or wig / head back & top. -Random multi-colors of hat or wig. -Skin color control. These funny hundred of random colors/decals/wigs minifigs took less than one minute! Finally a beta version of excel minifig generator. The idea is to separate lxfml bricks strings into many cells for excel functions to vlookup/randbetween/calculate/duplicate the colors/parts/decals/transformations. Then another cell concatenate them back together, copy and paste into lxfml then open in LDD. Maybe a mirror build generator also possible. LDD Tricks

No, but you can edit the .lxfml to move the unwant sub-part high above the model or hide it somewhere inside the model.- 62 replies

Thanks, The above one took less rendering time as I expect. Maybe because I deleted many unseen blue lights before process. Total render time less than 20 min. Below with 2600+ lights, it took 80 min @ 4K 4096x3072 pixels. -

The Fox Hound 's LDD Super Star Destroyer below use 70,000+ pcs, about 10 times more digital bricks! Thank you, I am glad you like it. The lighting help a lot. Most of the rendering in this topic use low quality setting (no bevels, no LEGO logo on studs), so the rendering time is around 10 min each only. I found that it is not nacessary to excel-generate every decor-able bricks to make templates. Just use the first one as universal template. Simply use wordpad to replace-all part id to any other decor-able bricks you want and use it as userpalettes. They work well weather the lxf/lxfml can be open correctly in LDD or not. Please refer ot this post: http://www.eurobrick...50#entry1841282 Capture by Nachapon S., on Flickr The generate process is semi-auto. This method should be also use for batch generate light source for LDD2Povray. Change the value of 1.2 in cell A3 to change distance between parts. (unit cm) then drag copy A1-B6 to A7-B12 for 2nd brick ... (repete) Excel will auto fill correct Brick refID/decor code/transformation. Last number in colum B represent quantity of bricks to be generated.
