The trailer surely looks great! After watching the thriler, I expect it to be a mixture in the style of THX1183 (or whatever the number was... :$), Clockwerk Orange and Minority Report. And seing a young McGregor is just crazy... After the first scenes of the trailer I thought: "Hey, cool! There is this guy who was also in Episode 1!... Wait... wasn't this the same guy from Episode 2? And 3??? Hey, it's Ewan McGregor!!!!" :oo

Great job, dude!!! Now, what about those guys: http://www.stargate-sg1-planet.de/screensh...ffel1/00/46.jpg And here you can find many, many more pictures, just click on the left menu on Stargate SG-1 / Screenshots!!! -
:/ I am really not sure what to say... Something positive like "Wow, those are some fine vignettes!!!" maybe. But you have heard this so often... Something to tease you and to show that I am so envious about your amazing creativity and building skills? I dunno. So I will go along with a standard comment, a question and a suggestion: Great work as always. Do you keep all your vignettes build or do you take them apart afterwards? In the first case you could try to set several of them (e.g. the western vigs) into a larger diorama so they fit all together!
-
So what about you? After my dark ages I started with point 1 (Star Wars sets) but nowadays I can identify with the third point!

Ooops, actually it's a MAJ.com find... :$

Dude, I... really.... I... I have NO idea what I can say..... :oo :oo :oo Really, this is... it's.... phew, I can't find ANY english word that would fit to those amazing creations... I don't think I have seen ANY sculptor out there that does as fantastic work as you do! Awesome!!!! Qhat about doing some Goa'uld head gears? A snake helmet! Or an even harder challenge (though I am sure you will solve it perfectly!) would be a horus guard from the original movie!!! ;) Come on, do it! :D -
Dude, you are the one and only vignette master!!! Impressive and creative as always! :oD

Bought some beer marinated steaks for barbecque some weeks ago.... They were SO tasty!!! *wub*

Okay, I'm satisfied with point one ("biological" ships or at least mind controled ones). Point three is clear now too. (Hadn't known that EMPs only affect systems that are running). But... For point two: What still annoys me is the fact that the aliens aren't a bit more careful about their health. Finally they jump off their vehicles (where they probably were save!), don't even walk around a new and unknown environement but ALSO interact with it (drinking water). This means in my eyes that they a) were lazy about checking out for bacterias or b) they just didn't know about this danger. Both points would mean that they hadn't done their homeworks properly. Seems unrealistic for me because if somebody plans such an invasion for millions of years they should have been able to see every single little aspect of this invasion!
-
So they have to push a button instantely to keep the shield activated??? "Whaaa... too weak to push it anymore...." Save in their robots? Why are they running around the farm house and drinking water then? The car started working because thue car workshop guy replaced one magnetic device! (Which was damaged by the EMP lightening I think)

A friend bought the DVD of the 53's movie and we watched it! Soooo cool!!! Bad acting, bad stages, cool (for the 50's at least) "cgi"... I really enjoyed it... *wub*

*Update* Plo Koon & Pablo Jill Custom
ApophisV replied to Vader's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
:() Dude.... .... WHOAW!!! Really impressive work! You should become professional sculptor!!! I like your Plo Koon so much, he's looking just perfectly besides two points: First the black thing at his face looks too dark at the pictures, maybe some dark grey tone instead? And what about some clear spray paint to give the head a more plastic like look? -
I`m not into bionicles, but since we will get the cool playsets (with those super cool "replicants" bugs) I vote for them! ;) Bionicle back to the roots!!! :^D
-
Oh, they did! Their figs, furnitures, accessories and such stuff became more and more detailed (wish we had such cool things from lego...) and they also have this "new" system for buildings. You don't put complete walls of a house together anymore, but you have several panels and small blocks and such which connect together in many many cool ways. I once made a cool looking train station and a train bridge out of an orient palace for my sister some years ago... This new connection system is really awesome!

Really? Don't remember that scene. But might be possible, have seen the movie when I was ten or eleven, so many years ago... Oh, another thing I really liked: The last scene were the pilot of one walker dies and his hand hangs out of the opened "door": So classical!
-
Whoaw... That was... frightening.... :() 8-| This really is a crazy and amazing movie, really worth to watch!!! Dakota Fanning is one of the best actors I've seen recently, she did such a great job, especially considering here age! :oo ++++++SPOILER WARNING!!!!++++++ Some negative things: - Why did the son survive? (THAT he did isn't the problem, but an explanation had been nice...) - Strange alien design, but a bit too cute. - The aliens are shown too soon, I wish they had done it like the original and just shown them at the ending. - What about the deactivated shield / bird thing? Is the deactivation related to the desease? If so, why is the walker itself still working??? The shield controling guy died first? (Not possible because this thing has just one pilot) - One point of criticism that also goes for the book: If those aliens plan the whole thing since millions and billions of years, WHY THE HECK don't they think of their own health???? - Why are all the electrical things at the electrical things (temporarely) destroyed while one guy is still able to use his camera at the scene where the first walker appears? And some coooool points: - As already mentioned: Fanning plays :')... Great! Cruise also does great work! - The first scenes with the walker are just soooo shocking.... :() Same goes for all the other scenes where they are pursuited by the walkers and such... - The overall effects are really cool - Snake camera scene: 8-| *sick* Scary - Mass panic scenes (especially the one where they lose the car): :oo Shocking - Nice design of the walkers and aliens (though those are somehow cute) NIIIIIICELY DONE!!!!! GO WATCH IT!!!
