  1. Great review 'typo'. I love this set, and was lucky enough to get one as I started collecting 9V. It remains one of my favorite, all time, sets. Thanks for reviewing it
  2. It sounds expensive, especially on those few $7.5 buck-a-part orders! I suppose get them while you can for as cheap as you can. Your train system sounds huge. Is it all PF or an integration of other systems?
  3. Nice review 'Widdi'. It's nice to see you have the box, and still in pretty good shape. I haven't been able to get any Paradisa sets but, this is one I wish I had, mainly for the car, baseplate, and large windows. On a side note, I DID have that exact Ferrari F50... Did you buy that new or off eBay? Anyway, thanks for the review
  4. A classic tow truck would be awesome! (I like older tow trucks better than fire engines) I'd love to see one. Any color ideas or is it just a pondering thought?
  5. Another fantastic line up of cars and trucks 'L@go'! I love them all especially the "rat Rod', "Buggy", "Supercar", and the modern take of the classic delivery van. I like the untraditional colors used on a few of the cars. And very nice job building that interesting truck... I've seen that picture before and wanted to build one but, both builds turned into airport fuel truck Keep up the awesome builds
  6. Excellent gingerbread house 'lorax'! This looks very sweet and tasty! It's very detailed, great job
  7. Unfortunately that is the sad part on the grey... I was looking for the same parts last week but, I paid only $5.85 for 6 orange. I'm debating whether I will paint them, as I too need them grey for a bridge. The layout is getting better, that raised rail should be awesome! How much more track needs laying before buildings go up?
  8. Nice creation 'lt'. The mods to the back suite it very well, keeping that 50's look. Keep up the great work
  9. I too have many old/rare sets and hundreds others in near mint condition. Though I don't have any children now, I have always wanted a couple. As a collector, I am very particular about my things, or is that OCD? Either way, I'm pretty sure they will not be having play time in that particular room but, they will have their own. Probably have a lock on the door so they won't know it's there
  10. Great city, 'Dakar A'. It looks as busy as one should be! Any plans to expand?
  11. Great set of MOCs 'AFOLEGGODT'. I really like those three green container cars, and the full train is great, as well. Keep up the great work
  12. Cool truck 'AllanSmith', great color and nice design on the tractor unit. It's a nice blend of 4 and 6 wide and I like the trailer's new lift gate. Seems much more convenient for getting it loaded/unloaded. Great job
  13. Great boat 'de-marco'. Lots of detail packed on this thing; good SNOT tech on the hull. Keep up the great builds
  14. Fantastic build 'Ralph_S'! You caught all the right lines of the aircraft. Awesome job building the wings and operational engines and congrats on first page status! Well deserved for this great MOC. Keep up the great work
  15. I have updated my train count, from June 2011, since reorganizing my storage room and apparently I missed a few and bought a few... There are actually 41 Engines, 124 rolling stock. 16 MOCs and Mods on the list on page 2... and it continues
  16. It's coming together well 'lt' (literally) . I too really like the lift. Does the gear system add resistance when a car is on the rack? Or is it just for a smooth lift operation? The Stihl sign is pretty neat as well but, why in a car dealership? Special promotion or joint partnership? Can't say I've seen power tools at any dealership around me. I figured you would have stuck it in your tool store. Keep up the great work
  17. That too was my priority; modulars first. Now I have time to hold off on the PS but, I'd like to get the airport as my next big spend With holidays fast approaching, its going to be tough... Not bad, is it used as a ped. bridge?
  18. Technically it wasn't mine at first, my younger brother received his first Lego, the original 7140 X-Wing Fighter in 1999. When he quit collecting Lego in 2004, due to our youngest brother destroying all his sets, it became mine. Since then it was built into an old, messy spaceship I built years ago. While not a SW collector, I have always loved the X-Wing. I have been thinking about resurrecting it as 95% of the pieces are there
  19. Neat mansion 'Kumpelkante'. I too agree, the masonry work is very nice, as with the detailed interior, especially the downstairs. I must take my leave but, I'm afraid I left something in the basement; be right back! *snatch* Great job and good luck with the contest
  20. 10193 Medieval Market. I figured I better get one while I can with a decent price of $84.50/free ship. My minifigs will be excited to finally have turkey for Thanksgiving
  21. I knew that was coming as soon as I hit "add reply"... Should have found better examples . I automatically associated those sets (Maersk, SF) with city. Those were bad, not, proper examples. I suppose better examples come from the airport or hospital. I see 7734 Cargo Plane and 7890/6666 Ambulance demand quite high prices over their original
  22. Yes, a very nice spin on the original unit. I like these colors a lot: WV > Blue and Gold! Great job
  23. Such a cute little house, or is it a cottage? It looks very cozy, I like the look of outside. Is the inside furnished? Keep up the great work
  24. I've had that same thought floating around. Combining a couple TB's to make a minifig scale car bridge. If only they weren't so expensive... But a pedestrian bridge would be almost as nice IMO. I'd say go for it if you can. If you end up not liking it, you could alway resell it later and make your money back; maybe a few extra, as well
  25. That's too bad. I guess it will stay as "pocket burn pieces". I wonder why it isn't available at PaB? Is it the fact it's only used in one set? Granted, City doesn't offer as many collectable sets as movie/comic themes but, they do put out a few sets with potential each year (Sante Fe's, anything Maersk, Mail Van, etc). Same thing goes with other themes. I know Boba's original Slave I hasn't done nearly as well as on resale as Jango's. I am one of those crazy city only freaks but, as far as "completing"; its next to impossible. There are way to many older sets and way to many outrageous prices. I very seldom pay up to, never over 50% markup. Maybe once a year and only on a set originally under $50. I average paying 0-23% markup prices overall to keep this addiction going
