  1. Fantastic oil rig 'peddi0027'. I've been waiting to see someone MOC. Excellent classic styling on a large rig. Great job
  2. A few bricky BL orders, a 6415 Res-Q Wave Racer, 6596 Wave Master, and 4588 Off Road Racers
  3. Does Lego S&H not have those EN slopes and the dark red slopes for the CC in PaB? ... And I too have seen outrageous prices on Batman... I wanted to get a Batman minifig for this Tumbler I received from a friend a while back but, not for $15+ Sooo glad I just collect city
  4. The price of this will probably drop after the new one comes out in 2012. I believe it inflated because TLG doesn't release ambulances, hospitals, etc as often as police and fire. I managed to get a couple of those from eBay but, I paid about $20-$26 for each. Some sets just seem to take off a year or so after they are discontinued. Just look up Market Street or Cafe Corner
  5. Neat bus 'danim'. I like the new roof redesign much better! It looks much more like L5G. Keep up the good work
  6. That is awesome! My favorite gun in the game, I want one of these. I wonder if the barrel had to be glued together?
  7. I found this 4-bay Fire Station. I'm not sure if it's the same one but, it looks very similar. Hope this helps
  8. Wow that is BIG! I'm looking forward to see it's continual progression. Are the tables standing alone or are they connected together in some way? Keep up the updates!
  9. Welcome 'fitzi'! First congrats on becoming a father and coming back into Lego, especially accompanied by your wife! Hope you enjoy these forums and don't fall prey to the darkness again! It's great you kept all your original sets, I too kept mine. BTW you hardly have any mistakes in your post
  10. So true, I can't wait to build my GE and buy the Pet Shop. Neat layout so far, 'eliminator'. You have some choice sets. I am, however, very envious of 6339 Shuttle Launch Command. That has been on my wanted list for quite some time. Keep us updated
  11. Finally won a 7734 Cargo Plane. It only took 9 months and $90 but, I really have wanted one since getting into those giant planes
  12. That is awesome! It put a huge smile on my face with a couple chuckles... I cannot believe the complexity of gearing on this thing and it's fluid motion. This is really neat to watch!
  13. May sound crazy but, DW-40 and a toothbrush should remove the sticky mess. At least any I've come across. It will not damage pieces even translucent ones. It should even add a bit of shine to them. I've used it for really mucky pieces from eBay as well as to lube tire axles. I do wash with Dawn and car wash soap to remove the greasy feel and smell of WD-40 on all pieces apart from those squeaky axles
  14. Mine was a second hand buy from eBay. I didn't have any misprints on the instructions but, had a few missing piece scares. Either you're lucky, or unlucky, depending on how you want to look at it. Hope it comes together well
  15. I've been building a Dr. Rockso, the Rock n' Roll Clown costume for a couple days. Getting close to crunch time. It better dry a bit faster, otherwise I'll be shivering in my boots Halloween is an annual holiday that pretty much celebrates spooky fun and mischief. I believe we just celebrate it with costumes, pumpkin carving (and chunkin'), trick-or-treat and other activities just for fun. Children still have school and those that have a career or job have work but, come the night; fun! It's origins are linked to the change in seasons, annual harvest, and celebrating the dead. That's about the best I can explain it
  16. Fantastic build 'spacepilot3000'. Very impressive build. Great detail, awesome size! Congratulations

    Stadium

This is quite the stadium 'zeki'. Its huge! Very nicely done
  18. BL orders and a lot of 6 road plates and two more 8403 City Houses
  19. Very nice part of town 'Serengeti'. The details are fantastic. It seems like it's a bustling city. Hope you post more photos of the other parts of your city
  20. 'lightningtiger' made a good point, try a good duster. If that isn't good enough I have taken my larger sets out side and with a garden hose (on mist or soak mode, nothing harder), or squirt bottle, and a toothbrush and washed them that way. If it is just dust, you don't necessarily need soap. I angle the set so the water runs off over the top layer of bricks instead of seeping deeper in the structure. As for stickers, they can handle water but, it can also damage the sticky side. That said, I had accidentally left a sticker piece on a brick and left it in a container of soapy water for two days and it was completely fine, zero damage. If they are on right, no air gaps or peeled sides, water should stay out. If you uncomfortable getting them wet just remove the piece or sticker piece section and clean them separately. On to drying; air drying is fine but, time consuming. I use an electric oscillating fan for quickest results. Make sure you DON'T use the sun! Best of luck!
  21. Excellent semi 'lm'. Great job building the trailer, making it functional. The tractor looks awesome, as well. Looks just like one right off the farm. Very cool truck, keep up the great work
  22. Thanks 'lightningtiger' and 'HighFlyer' for your kind words on this build
  23. Today, I thought I'd show my new boat I built a couple weeks ago. I received a couple of these, awkwardly colored, wedge plates from my buddy's collection along with two long, printed wedge pieces from BL. The problem was I couldn't figure out a good way could be incorporated in a traditional boat (well, mainly the wedge plates due to shape and color). I wanted something sleek and long, like a cigarette, but, the wedges were too wide. Then it hit me a flat bottom sprint boat! So, here is my spin on a twin turbine, flat bottom, jet sprint boat... that doesn't actually float. Apart from that, tell me what you think As you can see, it has a very low profile, just a bit shorter than it's driver. At a width of 8 studs it will require an escort, however it probably won't have such a large hauler unit without a new shorter trailer configuration. It does sit well on it's current trailer. As always, thanks for looking, Q & C welcomed
  24. I'm finished! Yay, my opinion matters <img src="http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/default_laugh2.gif"> It was a very nice thorough survey, though I did not see any mention of Brick Factory... Or did I miss it? <img src="http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/default_classic.gif" alt="" class="bbc_emoticon">
  25. Great bus and public transit scene 'Skrytsson'. You really captured recreating the bus, the opening doors are awesome. Great job on this build, keep MOCcing
