Who else saw that coming Seriously though, if it's not too expensive, combine a couple and add an interior. At least that's what I'd do. Great bit of info Klaus-Dieter! It looks to be a decent line up, too much Fire themed sets, but I'll bite

Thanks for answering mawich! All that work for a one week display?! I would have guessed it would take more than a week just to set up! 22x10 sounds like quite an undertaking, looking forward to seeing it built. I'll keep an eye out for new pics of your old layout

It's great to know you're still around and into LEGO City mawich! That new city sounds like quite an undertaking, but am very interested to see it built. Best of luck! As far as your previous city (wish there were more pics ), I loved looking at it, numerous times over, but where u able to reach all the parts or vehicles? Or where the central items "stranded"? I've had the same idea for a great, self-sustaining, city since 2009. I have since been growing my already large collection of City (modern and classic) and I'm in the process design a layout in which I can access all vehicles with relative ease for repositioning to keep things fresh. Like you, I need a lot of space, as well

It's nice to see this resurrected after a couple years. Very impressive setup indeed, to bad mawich hasn't been back in a while, I'd love to find out more about this layout. Ti was the reason I quit lurking and made a profile! I think I' read somewhere 'round here that he has since taken it down... too bad

Wow, THAT was a very awesome thing to see on the home page! What a beautiful bird, one of your best yet, Ralph_S. Great job on the build

Nothing more to say that hasn't been said, but man that is a fantastically beautiful MOC! A real pleasure to look at, great job Blake Baer

Great idea Locutis! I like the below ground safe, though I wood've kept the door vertical and added a staircase or elevator. I am looking forward to it's turn out

I'm afraid if there is a burning house, it'll be more of a burning shack! Something small ($40<), low detail, etc. I am good on the PD and FD scene, but because I'm an idiot with some spare cash, and no other theme interests, I would end up buying them anyway. I am looking forward for the lot of vehicles, those are always my favorite

A lot of eBay of,7991 Recycle Truck, 7747 Wind Turbine, and 7639 Camper, for under $50, two set lot of 6553 Crisis Crew and a 7639 Flatbed truck with container for under $30 and a BL order for another 7747 Wind Turbine for under $50

A small BL order for tiles n' plates

I thought, or more hoped, the Forest theme sets would count as a Fire and Police run... I' tired of new stuff from these lines. I wish they'd put sets out for other public works instead. What can we do..? It's what the kids go for! A new, full, modular cinema would be great! Like many have said, 10184 Town Plan's cinema is great, but too small. If one isn't in the works, I'm definitely adding to 10184's I certainly hope that it would be a whole house. Knowing LEGO, if this is to be an actual set, I'm sure it would be a whole building with inner workings that "damage" or collapse the structure with flames. I'd get one or two for a fire rescue scene. And of course, I can't wait so see what new vehicles come out Anyone know how the Mine Theme is doing, or whether it will have a second wave?

Nice job on your first house Deadraque. I like it's overall look, but really like the rounded tier roof. A suggestion, if I may: try using these on the top tier, instead of the flat tiles, and add a chimney to fill in the gap of the 1x2 tiles used. Also, maybe a different ornament, instead of the goblin head. Good job anyways, I can't wait to see the brick build

Great 0-6-0 LT12V! It's a great looking engine and a wonderful addition to your rail line. The lights are a nice touch, though it's unfortunate TLC doesn't make an amber colored bulb for these old steamers

Excellent layout MXLPT! It's nice to see a detailed custom layout. I love the mountain and scenery and those two steam locos, very well done! What are the dimensions and possible piece count?

I did that by accident down in New Orleans during a long night of... well it's Bourbon St. I scared some women have to death walking out

I'd only be angry if he made more money off the lot. Still, quite a bizarre find, and like already said, probably a waste of your time

What non-Lego building stuff are you willing to suffer?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to BrickG's topic in Community
I like my Half Pipe and a few other skate park sets from Megabloks. While the sets themselves are of the poorer quality MB's from the late 90's and are a bit flimsy when it comes to moving the entire structure. They do look quite realistic, color and piece wise -
What's the least important aspect of you of Lego?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I keep all my boxes, as well as, the piece bags, and used sticker sheets. No answer as to why... I no longer play with my LEGO. I just build, photograph (MOCs) and, when I had a city layout, create scenes of everyday living. Even as a kid, I would put "scenes" back the way they were if I played with them. I guess that was my way of keeping rack of my LEGO. I do/did have two younger brothers who both decided to go Godzilla on my city at one time -
Should Friends have it's own Sub-Forum?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to LegoCityMann's topic in Forum Information and Help
I would like to see Friends in it's own city-subtheme forum. Seeing how LEGO classifies it as a subtheme of City, as well, it seems appropriate . Not to mention, all MOCs and Friend related topics are labeled "Friends" in the titles anyways. It seems like a much simpler easy way for this successful theme -
Definitely agree, LEGO is for building>play>rebuilding, etc. I can't wait to have the space to open my new sets. Looking at a box isn't as fun as looking or handling the model

7939 Box Car, 2 Tanker Cars, and the Flatbed Truck with freight containers, and two 10219 Maersk Flatbeds w/ Containers

I see what you mean, but you also have to look at the fact that most toys, especially action figures, are in blister packs or have clear panels. So a grader can see if the toy has any defects that way. I have heard of defects actually raising the price of a figure, but that is a very rare occurrence. On occasions when I'm not buying LEGO, I do check over Hot Wheels, Matchbox, 1:18 scale model cars, so I don't buy a messed up vehicle. I think LEGO quit making boxes with that fold away panel, revealing some of the parts, 3-5 years ago. Don't quote me on that though, that is an answer for the LEGO Historian

I personally don't care for licensed themes either. I like the movies too a point, but am not a buff. As a city/train collector, I don't have the mind set for including superhero's, futuristic space, or even themes like Rock Raiders or Power Miners in my layout. That said, they do sell, quite well, and I do like to look at what they come up with. I love some of the parts only find in a licensed set (i.e. tools, weapons, etc) that wouldn't be out of place in the city. I even thought about ordering the QAR or Black Pearl to set in my harbor, as both are great looking ships. I did buy 10193 Medieval Market Village and 10210 Imperial Flagship for there own place in town as tourist attractions. So, like TheWonderBoy said, if you are looking for a new castle or ship, get one. You can repurpose it, or use them as a parts pack for a MOC

This was quite an interesting find. I can't say that I would ever actually send a LEGO set in for grading due to the fact that you can only grade it based on the box's exterior. There is no way to judge the contents without opening it... unless someone has an MRI lying around. So how could they tell what defects or damages are present, how can one tell if a sticker sheet or instruction manual are bent? Or would that even matter? On a side note... $12,500 for 10719? How much is the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon worth? But seriously, are LEGO graded under the AFA because of the minifigs?

I believe it has something to do with Quebec being under a French code of law, as opposed to English common law I don't think they forgot, I think tt's probably because it's sponsored by the WB entertainment, a subsidiary company of the American multinational multimedia company Time Warner. A world wide contest might be just a little too big for them handle Edit: I still can't enter... I don't has a MyFace account! I hates Facebook!
