Won another 3180 Tanker Truck for $15 and the two boats from Indy's 7197 Venice Canal Chase for $12

I just submitted my email and clicked accept policy terms and left the about me box empty. No password or anything. It created my profile and inserted my Lego.com password in the 'About Me' box, so I'm assuming it will use the same password. I do remember trying to set up an account a long time ago with no luck. I can't remember what it was doing specifically, but I ended up giving up on it, figuring it was "a new site glitch"

I love the Emerald Night's box and 10213/10231 Space Shuttles Adventure & Expedition but I also really like the classic town Divers and the floating boat boxes

I too have had a severe cracking problem, but with a handful of 1x1 round translucent plates. They are splitting almost in half; the stud gripping part, separating from it's own stud, as shown. They are still useable, but only somewhat. The red ones have come from various city sets from roughly 2005 to 2011. A few others (not pictured) have cracked, but not separated and have been removed from my "useable" parts bin. I suppose these also might fall under poor plastic manufacture and/or brittle plastics

Opening sealed antique sets - wonderful or painful ?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to drdavewatford's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Every set I buy has it's own build date, and there are plenty unopened. Unfortunately it is an unscheduled date as I have hit the main problem most collectors hit: Space! With so many great looking sets from city, I have had to halt any new builds for storage reasons, but don't want to miss out on them. They are much easier to store in their boxes, with no worries of random parts (like antennas) falling off and getting lost. I already fear a move just from the fact my built sets will be in a truck bouncing around -
I'd also recommend using a site like PicResize.com to get the pictures to this size guideline of 800x600 or smaller. Then upload the resized photo to one of those sites listed above. HERE is a list of tutorials, including how to deeplink your photos from the host site, for further help. Finally, Welcome to EB!

[Review] 4437 - Police Pursuit (Forest Police)
LEGO Guy Bri replied to lego_legis_legere's topic in LEGO Town
Neat review lego_legis_legere! I love the truck in this set, but, wow, I did not know it would be that big in comparison to the tractor from 7848! Barnes and Noble is the largest book retailer and in the U.S. I don't have one near me, but like my local Books- a-Million, it too sells Lego, as well as, a few other types "learning" toys -
MOC: Vintage Roadster "The Oldtimer" (Friends Version)
LEGO Guy Bri replied to ER0L's topic in LEGO Town
Excellent roadster ER0L, it screams "Duesey" to me! An awesome design and a very unique use of the technic skis as fenders. Excellent job -
At first, I really disliked having multiple booklets, but now they've kind of grown on me. I still prefer having just one, even for large 1000+pcs sets. Maybe it's nostalgia; or the fact that my friends nor I ever had difficulty building sets with the all-in-one booklets. I do however still strongly dislike the many different sizes they come in. Even the the larger books don't all match (e.g. 10194 E. Night and 7998 Heavy Hauler). Granted the E. Night has more pieces, but they are both similar in size, the truck actually being bit bigger. Yet the trucks manual is not letter size (U.S./CA 8 1/2" x 11"). I have the same disgruntlement with many smaller sets, as well. It's quite frustrating when trying to sort and store

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
LEGO Guy Bri replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Going back and starting at page one, over a year ago, I have just caught up to this MOC. I must say your dedication to this project is only surpassed by it's greatness. Not only in size, but in detail! Not much I can say that hasn't already been said, it was a real pleasure to see it's progression. I eagerly wait to see what is currently be ing built and what else is to come. Keep up the fantastic work -
Re-boxed Lego Sets sold as bootlegs...
LEGO Guy Bri replied to 88high's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't think thats him, just a video he found on youtube. Glad I don't see much bootleg Lego around my local shops or stores. A real waste of money IMO -
Thanks for the link. I like that trim the best

Great set of truck Oran! I'd show a few of my truck MOCs, but I feel it'd be redundant as you have this market cornered . I'm in favor for the Octan Truck and the red version of 3221. Keep up the great work

Very creative and well done Legonardo Davidy

MOCs: Pennsylvania RR K4s Class Steam Locomotives #3750 & #1361
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Cale's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Excellent set of engines and tenders Cale. Beautifully detailed work, I can't wait to see the carriages. Very well done -
A very menacing MOC lego-maniac! Neat concept for the wrecking ball. I like that more than the one from Ninjago
-
Thanks for this review Big Cam. I really thought about getting this for the boat in particular, for a his/hers boating couple with last years red one. However, after seeing it's stern, I am now having second thoughts. I think I'll just BL some of the main pieces instead

Very cool friends MOC! Looks very similar to a Jeep Commando . I'd take one for my minifigs though. Keep up the cool MOCs

Neat trucks Oran, love chrome on black
