  1. According to that article, first line, second paragraph, "The Lego Groups entire global workforce fetes the anniversary today" -On a separate note, it's also my youngest brother's (17th) and cousin's (15th) birthday
  2. D**n, I just bought a lightly used 2009 copy last month for $15. I guess a new one won't be bad for the same price. Though, a few things are a bit puzzling: First, my 2009 copy came in a cardboard sleeve with two books (I haven't gone through them cover to cover, yet). Second the new one, according to Amazon, has a publication date in 11 days (Aug. 20, 2012). I am not that familiar with book publications, but is that a typo or just something that is normal?
  3. Another fantastic house Hoexbro! The light purple in the first pic made the house look like it has purple neon glow. It looks to make a great addition to the other houses
  4. I'd love to get my hands on 10187 VW Beetle, but it's tough with sets like 6399
  5. Love the new set of cars L@go! Tops are the rally cars, boat-tails, lorry, and 3-Wheeler
  6. Great first modular MOC shimon! I really like it's look, in and out. Any plans to add more floors?
  7. Happy Birthday Mate!

  8. Won 10220 VW T1 Camper Van for $96.10/ free shipping and a 50x50 gray baseplate for $9.25
  9. I'd probably spend it on my car or or buy a new motorcycle

  13. Thanks for clarifying, I don't know much about the NBA sets, but it makes sense not to create a new mold for a proper ramp. You are so right about replacing MB skateboards with the Lego version. They're wheels are terrible and the sets are quite flimsy from no clutch power. Ah MegaBlok
  14. Won a used 7642 Garage for $40.52 and another 7631 Dump Truck for $9.99
  15. Yes, here is a chart comparing the all the 9V motors, among them the 9V, RC, and PF
  16. I've run into a few high rated sellers with slow ship times and poor, or no, communication. If you really want to push for a response, you can open up a case. That way you'll already have the "buyer protection" process started if you end up not ever getting the item(s) and leave it open until item arrives. Should the item arrive , just close the case with "I received item" selection. There will be no negative action taken when resolved and closed. They are required to respond within 48 hours, I think Sellers cannot leave NEG feedback anymore, only p.o.ed buyers
  17. Beautiful creation -DoNe-. The building is wonderful and the tank is awesome! It all adds to a great diorama. Excellent job
  18. Awesome building Trainee! It's great to see a repair garage inside a large modular! I love the variety of interior designs and features. Good luck
  19. I could only find one about Cats and Lego. A little more general in discussion though
  20. Like many here, I do not, nor have ever, purchased Mega Blok sets. I did, however, acquire a few from my brothers from when they were young. I am and was always into city/trains, but they liked various sets from any theme or make, in particular where skate park sets. Their interest of the time, Tony Hawk Pro Skater game releases, etc. They received 9157 Skate Park (Half Pipe), 9161 Skate Park, and 9169 Skate City one year for Christmas. I have all three the skate sets intact, they are the only non-Lego I allowed in my layout. Apart from MB's notorious fault in quality (grip/color), at least 96-02, some of the features are quite nice. I really like the unique "in-line" blade elements, the BMX bikes, but most of all, how the half pipes and vert ramps were done right! Lego could have taken a few ideas from them for a change, or at least paid more attention to actual ramp dimensions, before releasing their Island Extreme Stunts (pardon the blasphemy ). Checking out 6738 Skateboard Challenge, I think you'll see what I mean
  21. I've read some members stories of their cats being terrified of trains from the noise they make, however like CamelBoy68's cat, my cats would also constantly lay on the tracks. One of them would even stay when I'd bump him with a train
  22. Great entry snaillad! The building looks very nice, but the interior furniture is really appealing to me, I love those desks! I wouldn't mind giving them a try
  23. Fantastic modular psyche! I love the exterior styling and colors!
  24. I agree with darkdragon. While they are the easier appendage to disassemble, compared to disassembling individual legs, there is the possibility of cracking the torso. I have switched plenty of older arms ('94-'03) with no problem, but am a little weary on newer ones. Especially white torsos. If you're like mint, best bet is to leave'em in
  25. With the arrival of my original Sopwith Camel I decided to order a cheap "NEW" instruction manual for 10124 Wright Flyer to build, as well as another parts order. For eBay, I won #4, 7994 with half the bags sealed and unused sticker sheet for $71... I've been watching those and they seem to have come down in bidding prices, so if you've been wanting, check'em out! I also won #6, 3810 Tank Truck and #3, 7631 Dump Truck. All sets had totals w/shipping at or under MSRP
