I can't say I'd ever buy any of it, but as a young teen I liked and held onto a few of my brother's Megablok sets (only because they did a better job than LEGO at a skate park; still flimsy sh*t). I don't like the look of Enlighten, they blatantly copied LEGO, even down to their figures faces, and the "Frisco Fe"??? That really angered me... Nothing seems original to them. The part I do like and agree on, is the fact that many more can afford these sets. Every kid should be able to explore their imagination through building

That just hit me too. Checking BL, it seems the jack has been retired since 2003... Had no clue they did that

At S@H US the GE seems to have another run, ready to ship Dec. 9. Probably the last run, just for the holidays. I wouldn't be surprised if they both are gone by March. Remember, the FB had a fudge up run with missing bags, that's probably kept it in circulation, as well

Classic camper build SalvoBrick! I love it, it suits the car well

Beautiful work Dfenz, very detailed! I love the brick work on the first station and the orange train

After a little searching, bulk LEGO seems to have asking or 'Buy It Now' prices of £10-15 per kilo. Depending on what minifigs went with it could mean a good or bad deal, as some are quite valuable. Same goes for some pieces in sets because they where only produced for one or two sets. Check out Bricklink for any minifigs you might have concerns for

I've had great success on eBay/US. Winning most of every set I wanted as a kid for prices that were very close to MSRP. The only time I ever spent something crazy was for the 4999 Vestas Wind Turbine at $330. After returning to LEGO late '09 and buying a cheaper used GG in '10, I really wanted the first two. After almost another year, I found a gent selling his and his sons large city layout, including the first two modulars. He listed at buy all at once for $22,000. I've never seen anyone succeed in doing it all at once, so I contacted him saying I was very interested in many of his sets, but couldn't do it in one go, so he gave me his prices for what he wanted. I was lucky to get every set, most were discontinued, for retail or very close to retail. He was happy to get rid of the sets, and I for the prices. So keep an eye out for people doing this, or checkout other places like Craigslist, flea markets, garage/estate sales etc. You may get lucky

Bought an unopened 7634 Tractor for $12 and a couple small BL orders

Great job SalvoBrick. I really like the new butcher shop. Nice work on the update

I like this new version better. It definitely has more of a dealership look. The old one looked like it could be the Bolt HQ building. Personally I'd keep this one, one floor as well. Either way I'd like to see what you have in mind

Great review LegoBobby. I really like the crane, though it seems a bit much for the car IMO but, still a set I wish I had

Nice simple solution Sheepeater. I'm going to save this for my garage, whenever I get one. Thanks
