Welcome to EB Ro87n! quote What did u ment by 'did you have a dark age' ? "Dark age" refers to the times you took a break from buying or building Lego. Mine occurred in H.S. ...chicks seemed more interesting to me Six year dark age ensued until last year. Lego is my drug of choice now. Perfectionist was just wanting to know if you have experienced it. See ya in the forums!

Getting started in LEGO Trains - What to buy?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to MrTools's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I have to agree with hoeij. The 9Vs are very expensive and are steadily climbing. I doubt you can pick up 10133 BNSF for under $150 and average for 8 straight tracks are always $35 and up. I shelled out $345 for 60 and that was still top dollar But if you watch it enough you may find a couple MyOwnTrain cars close to retail. There is also a steady supply of individual cars sold from members parting out 7939 Cargo Train. Those are your best (cheapest) way of adding more cars or track. Its all what you're willing to spend. As for the plastic track... I don't buy, only 9v, but its a pity that now they offer the straight paired with those noisy flex tracks. I recommend reselling the flex, if you buy these, and put that toward more straight. If you have an eBay or equivalent membership. Good luck with what you go with- 191 replies

Its all about the wait, sometimes you get it for a decent price, maybe a little over, but there is always a nice deal on a set that has to be acted on. Just won 7736 coast guard quad for $5 and 7686 Helicopter Transporter for $5 over original price. Seen these sold a $50 and up. I apparently need to check out Toys R' Us, Target, and Waly-World for deals on sets. I've notice a lot of talk about deals in US stores... Hope its a nationwide thing :grin

Great idea Toastie love the interior lights. Are PF lights compatible to hook up to an original 9V motor, like the old lights did? -
