  1. Definitely Town/City. 1980-pres. I collected two toys as a kid thru now, Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars and Lego City sets... 18 Years and counting Interested in another 6135 Aqua Shark Spy Shark? Needs a good home. No place for it in my city. I'm pretty sure it's 100% though I no longer have its instructions, but its never been taken apart. PM if interested.
  2. I have to say that I am now solely a collector. I'm not sure if its because I am an adult now or on the fact that I can't sit comfortably in my Lego room, err, I mean city. No room to "play" I am quite content creating a "busy" city or adding a few details to existing sets. So I guess that still counts as play. I've thought about playing with sets if I had adequate space. Maybe if I had a bigger room or a giant table, something for more comfort for some one thats 6'3". I guess I'll find out one day
  3. My favorite sets out right now are: (no particular order) 8404 Public Transportation $99.99 lots a vehicles 3661 Money Bank Transfer $49.99 7286 Prisoner Transport $19.99 much better than the last 7228 Mobile Police Unit $44.99 better than last 3221 Lego Semi $35.99 such a cool truck I bought 4 7213 $39.99 Off-Road Fire Truck and Boat. Awesome looking truck 3648 Police chase $??? Not available in the states but looks awesome. Check lightningtigers review, price is high in U.K. and down under 7630 Front end loader $12.99 not sure if these are still available except on eBay, etc 7631 Dump truck $19.99 same deal here. Unfortunately it looks like TLG did away with construction for this year in place of harbor and marina sets. Those are more sets I'd look into buying this year, I know I am ~OR~ shop around eBay for some good old retired sets. The Crawler Crane, Bull dozer, and Drum roller aren't to expensive... yet. You'll find out quickly whats "hot" (expensive) and what hasn't appreciated in value much. As always, get what most appeals to you. This is what I came up with that seems to fit your "like" description. Good luck in choosing. Great products out, more coming, no wrong answer
  4. Great review lightningtiger Can't wait til this set hits U.S. shores. The sports car looks a lot cooler from the rear, had no idea. Price looks s****y tho
  5. Great review of a great old Lego legofan. I bought one of these last year for like $5 bucks plus a few to ship off eBay too! I think the RSP was $3.99 or $4.99 at the time. I can't remember what the sticker on the box that came with it. Its buried in my attic with all the other Lego boxes If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay?
  6. Great station and awesome layout. Love the multi levels of track! Great job
  7. The easiest way to get a more speed out of the E.N. is to try and add a second large PF motor to the wheels. So literally a $100 answer Splitting the load between the two would allow both to work at full speed. Its the complex drivetrain and moving parts that take torque from the motor. That and because its plastic and not metal (able to be lubed) Other than that you'd be looking into using a non-Lego motor that has a hight rpm but, that would be very difficult and require a a bit of electronic know how.
  8. Won few more roadplates from the early 00's (4109-4112s) @ $5 for sets of 2. Today my 4th 3221 Lego Truck arrived with an additional free gift of 7279 Police Minifig Set. A great surprise, saved me from having to buy one

  10. Can't wait till these hit stores> They all look great! Everything except the $$$ Is the new harbor really going to be $90 though? Not to thrilled abut some of the price tags

  14. O man, this is going to be a doozie I was in your shoes last August. I used eBay and a hell of a lucky deal. You can also try another site similar to eBay, or Craigslist. Not really sure how to use C list but, a fellow EBer said he purchased a monorail set for less than eBay. Best of luck in getting these sets.
  15. Great Precinct Modular MOC soundwave_sw Great details! Love the parking. Reminds me of a cross between two precints from GTA lV (The one toward the bottom of the middle island) Keep up the great work!

  21. Great race trailer for the sprint car lm83 Great details and features. Keep up the great work
  22. Neat extension of the original train My first thought of what to do on the locomotive is to start with the wheels. Use the extras and moc up a similar setup like the Emerald Night. Then go from there, extending the boiler and cab. Keep up the great work
