  1. It looks like this torso from the rebel battlepack.
  2. There's a handful of exclusive printed pieces from the Disney castle- Donald's torso and legs, exclusive panels, some kind of storybook text, exclusive clock faces, etc. Nothing that really grabbed me, though.
  3. Looking at the Sanctum build, it's significantly more accurate than I was expecting. (If you have it available,) compare the build to the MCU's Sanctum: It has the first floor, third floor, and roof level, with many, many details copied from the real thing. It has the curved roof to the balcony, the off-white pillars with crowns against a brick-red exterior on Floor 3; on the top, it has the grating along the roof edge, the windows flanking the Seal, off-white trim, and multiple sets of chimneys in groups on the corners of the roof; and the ground floor has the funky and dingy parallel lines represented in gray tiles. Heck, even the breaks between floors are pretty well represented by the studs out construction. Pretty much the only egregiously inaccurate things about the exterior are the size (unavoidable), that floors 2 and 4 are missing (unavoidable for same reason), and that the roof isn't green. The last is the only thing they could've really done better about the facade on their budget, and I'm not sure why they didn't fix it.
  4. Weird. Why are they using the Mark 43 armor? It's 4+ armors behind. This is the first I've seen of it in Infinity War in any marketing/promos/leaks, etc. The Mark 43 with chest plate removed was used in Age of Ultron inside the Hulkbuster, and there's a new Hulkbuster in IW, so it's plausible, but I'm still skeptical. Uh, they totally have, but the body of that fig is the Mark 43, which is the suit those legs originated with. They've only been reused once outside of that suit, on the Mark 46 in Civil War. TLG used different legs in all Tony's other suits since then (Mks 45, 33, 47, Scuba, Space, & ANAD). Who is this AfroMan who posted the Iron Man originally, and are we confident they're legit?
  5. Darn, the ring pieces do have a designated spot for holding. That means they won't be useful as a structural or connective piece. But they still are a cool accessory and can be used for decoration, so that's a plus!
  6. Nice job on those, @Drsam92! I think they're all good, but Beast is my favorite. I don't think I've ever seen that Chima head used for him before, but it's perfect!
  7. 99% chance they're talking about the thing that appears to be a MagLev train that rushes by and separates Panther and the suited-up Killmonger near the end of the second trailer. Apparently even Wakandan mine carts are so advanced they beat Japanese bullet trains, which is pretty cool .
  8. Hey guys, check the top of the Rhino box: is it just me (or an illusion), or does Okoye have toe claw prints on her legs that you could easily swap onto Black Panther? Also, are Nakia's rings just an accessory with a single grab-point, or are they smooth rings with constant bar-width? Because the latter would be amazing for building.
  9. Printed Cowls: Every Flash/Reverse Flash cowl Every Iron Man/War Machine helmet Vulture, Detroit Steel 60's Batman, Glam Rock Batman, ElectroSuit Batman Bunny Suit Guy, March Harriet, Easter Batman EVERY SINGLE Legends of Chima character And a ton I forgot Printed Cat Ears: Black Panther Checkmate, Atheists.
  10. Oh man, if that torso is unmarked, it'll be the first generic heroic torso in seven years! The last one goes for $7 on BrickLink by itself)! I love this wave. The '78 Jor-El and Zod are the highlights, but I also like Killing Joke Joker and Black Canary, and I'll grab one or both of the Wonder Twins. And if that torso is the real deal, I will pick up several, but I don't want to get my hopes up yet. Are there pictures of it in the movie or in that concept art book to either give us further hope or to dash it?
  11. Can we be sure you're not talking about this unrelated Creator set coming next year?
  12. If you want to see what they'd look like, Lego included Odin and Heimdal in their equivalent poster for The Dark World. No real pieces were used to make either character, so we can't emulate them–even Odin's hair is a recolor that doesn't exist physically. Interestingly, Heimdal's sword is a recolor of one of the Knight's Kingdom swords, which is a cool choice I wouldn't have thought of. Also, the jet on the real poster doesn't quite match the jet from Ultron– for whatever reason, it lacks the prominent red accents from Ultron. However, Lego's AoU jet (76032) didn't have the red accents either. In fact, almost all the toys from Ultron show the Quinjet with this omission, so I assume Marvel gave the toy companies inaccurate concept art. Weirdly, the Quinjet seen in Civil War (the movie) look almost exactly like the design used for the Ultron toys (and consequently, this poster), while the paint job the Civil War toys got are way darker than the on-screen design, and therefore don't match anything. That's all to say, you're right– they should've used the Ultron set, both because it matches the poster (they're both inaccurate in the same way), and because it is the plane Hulk used in-universe. And now for the minor detail I don't love– I don't think Thor's new haircut looks like that piece. I think the Sleepy Hair is better.
  13. Elsewhere on the same website, it also says: Meaning they do consider Nexo Knights to be licensed (even though my sense is that it's really not).
  14. They've introduced a number of pieces designed for small mechs since then; I bet if they re-issue the suit, they'll redesign it to incorporate some of the new pieces.
  15. Slight correction– the hairpiece has been recolored and reused twice already, though not in ways that fit Spock. After the elf, it was redone with Dark Brown hair and Reddish Brown ears on Man-Bat. That could work for, say, Tuvok, or a different dark-skinned Vulcan, though the hair is longer than his was. Then, it was done in a Dark Green/Green combo for Beast Boy.
  16. I recently got the Roman Gladiator CMF, and I thought the hairpiece from it would work quite well for Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan. The Lego games gave him Peter Venkman's hair, and I think both have their pros and cons; Venkman's is balding, but the Gladiator's (Finn's) better portrays the very curly texture and close-cropped style, and it has a fairly high hairline for a Lego wig anyway. I threw them both on Lex Luthor for comparison. Oh, and I've thrown in what Ultron looks like with Darth Maul-extendo-Robo legs. Figured I'd try it, given how much taller he is than everybody else, and the fact that he's got Robo legs.
  17. It was @Catanas, literally on the last page! Fun fact: if you click on the Lego brick logo next to the thread on the Forum page, it takes you to the first unread comment, so you can make sure you haven't missed anything since you've been here last!
  18. Some are obvious: Kirk: Give him the Mr. Incredible hairpiece. Spock: Wait a couple months for the Wonder Twins hairs from Lego Batman. Uhura: Either this beehive (if non-Purist, remove the printing), or Harry Potter's. Chekov: I like this Barista hair for him. But the other dudes are less obvious. For Scotty, McCoy and Sulu, the classic, basic hair and the combed hair are probably the best options (obviously in different colors from each other). However, if you need variety, you can try other styles, too. For Chapel, with her variety of hairstyles, there's a variety of pieces acceptable; these short hairstyles could work.
  19. Sooo... harkening way back to my earlier complaints about Loki's costume color in the Sakaar set... I've done a lot of visual inspection of every snippet of marketing, promos, and leaks of Ragnarok material, and I can confidently say: the costume Lego has chosen for Loki accurately matches what he wears for some– but not all– of the movie. Based on what I've seen, Loki has (at least) 3 costumes in Thor: Ragnarok: The first is an alteration of his outfits from previous films. It uses a similar jacket/trenchcoat to the one he had in Avengers and Thor: The Dark World, which is seen on his previous Lego figure. Underneath the jacket, however, is a very different shirt. Rather than the constructed leather-and-latex garment he had in those films, here he has a simpler, unusual, low-cut v-neck shirt. This is apparently the outfit he wears both while impersonating Odin, and then while assisting Thor in trying to find Odin (Act 1 of the film). The second look is faithfully represented by Lego figure. This is the outfit Loki wears on Sakaar. It has a series of crosscutting BLUE (absolutely and unambiguously blue under multiple lighting conditions) leather strips, a cape that is bright yellow on the inside but dark blue on the outside, a dark blue collar, and purple sleeves sheathed in blue armor. Importantly, this outfit has a "belt buckle" that is made of a gold metal with a green paint application, and a "skirt section" extending down roughly a foot below the "buckle". The third outfit is the one he wears upon his return to Asgard. This outfit was causing all my confusion, because it's constructed almost identically to the second outfit. However, this one uses BLACK leather (again, unambiguously, there are different shots with different lighting), a single layered green cape, a green collar, and black sleeves sheathed in green armor. There are a few differences that make it obvious that this is a separate costume, apart from trying to tell apart a deep blue and black. First, the cape is obvious; it's uniform in color rather than patterned, and the colors look nothing alike. Second, the buckle is different. While it has the same shape, it's made of a matte material rather than metallic, it is black, and has no distinct painted middle area. Third, this outfit is missing the "skirt section" that the second costume had, and it instead ends immediately below the belt. Additionally, he has an Earth disguise during Act 1 of the film, but I'm ignoring that here. Going out on a limb, I'm guessing that the film won't draw any attention to the differences between the second and third outfit. Presumably nobody will comment on it, we won't see him change, etc. In-universe, maybe they're even supposed to be the same outfit with an ambiguous color or maybe Loki's using his illusion powers! But at least behind the scenes, Loki has a distinguishably different outfit while on Sakaar and upon his return to Asgard. Furthermore, it appears at least one toy company got word of this difference. Funko's "Adorbz" line of toys features two paint applications of similar figures, with one getting blue and the other black. Their version of the third outfit isn't entirely accurate (e.g. wrong buckle color, buckle includes paint, helmet has gray areas instead of green areas, etc.), but it is different enough that I'm confident that they were told/saw a distinction between the two looks. Bringing it back to Lego, their figure appears to have the correct color scheme and details for the appropriate part of the movie– Loki is in the arena during the fight, he's wearing outfit #2 at the time, and Lego's colors are correct on outfit #2! Personally, I prefer Outfit #3 to Outfit #2, but I can't blame Lego for being accurate to the film!
  20. You really captured the shaping and color! However (and this may just be the size of the baseplate), it feels a little stark and empty when compared to what the castle usually looks like. Is there any chance you could add more detail and/or figures? Edit: One thing that might really help is if the ground were decorated, whether that means tiling it somewhat, or using plates to vary up the shades of gray. Far from the only option, though!
  21. It's still insanely difficult to see the facial hair, but it is possible. It's odd that Lego didn't choose a shade of yellow that would stand out better!
  22. Which figures are you talking about?
  23. That homemade suit isn't purist at all though, is it? I'd be shocked if it were. Similarly, I spy some stuff on Shocker that appears to be non-purist.
  24. This "Deadpool Duck" or "Deadpool the Duck" figure seems like the perfect exclusive. It's not a classic, popular character (e.g. Spider-Woman, Jean Grey, black suited Spider-Man), nor is it a new movie-themed iteration that would ruin an MCU lineup (e.g. the Collector). It's not even a popular new iteration of a character (e.g Falcon-Cap). It's not a figure I would reject if I won it at a drawing at a convention, and it would make a nice keepsake. But I don't totally get you guys who're acting as if this is just as bad as previous years; it feels like Lego was trying to take our feelings into account on this one!
